Good day, Paizo folk. I haven't bought anything from you before except Dragon and Dungeon issues, but 4e drove me away by being too far removed from 3e, so I'm going to be giving Pathfinder a try. You have a shot to impress me, I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll bring out. Thanks for catering to people like me.

Here is a link to the Pathfinder RPG Alpha release. Glad to have you and hope you enjoy what you find.

I'm from Finland. There aren't a lot of gamers in my area. :)
Either way I think I prefer playing over chat/online. I find it more immersive when you don't see the other players' RL faces. :D I *like* being a fat hairy guy playing an elven maiden, lol! :D
I've tried playing on message board games a few times, but they tend to move pretty slow and die due to lack of interest. Do any of you guys play tabletop online, and have you found any other systems than message board play?

Welcome to the Paizo boards Samy! There is plenty to enjoy - from Pathfinder to numerous campaign journals (some even documenting forays into the 'original 3' adventure paths with the latest rule books added in), there are plenty of threads to read and some 'interesting' senses of humor to encounter.

I run into that phrase "adventure path" repeatedly, but what is it anyway? A bunch of interlinked adventures, like Sunless Citadel > Bastion of Broken Souls?
Paizo's Pathfinder adventure paths are a 6-part series of adventures meant to be played as a campaign, but are much more tightly interlinked than the aforementioned adventures.
Oh, and welcome to the boards! Have some cookies! *passes out cookies*

Well met.
I think its the people around here that make Paizo/Pathfinder a winner, moreso then the products themselves (which are awesome). Not only are the majority of people VERY helpful and friendly, but the staff all post here and keep tabs on the heartbeat of the fans.
Its not just a game, its a (growing) community. :)

What, are you saying those aren't real elven maidens I've been playing with all these years?
But...but...I sent her money! To help her dying grandmother buy ingredients for lembas bread...

Greetings Samy. Sit back, relax and enjoy a casual chat with us 3.5/PfRPG lovers. I highly recommend giving the Alpha a read over. If its not exactly to your liking, I still recommend reading the Beta (once its released at GenCon), since it will be closer to what the final version will look like (after playtesting and changes incorporated).

Welcome, Samy!
It's always good to see fresh faces and new opinions!
If you'd like a good taste of what we're doing around here, in addition to the Pathfinder RPG linked above, there are several other free PDFs available for download that you can peruse. And did I mention that they are free?
You can download a couple of Pathfinder Modules, here and here for a taste of the level of quality we shoot for in all of our products (and that's a couple of free adventures, to boot!).
For a good at the world in which we are building our Adventure Paths, check out the free Player's Guides to the Adventure Paths, here and here.
Enjoy!
thanks,
cos
