I 've been here for some time now, but I had to let some steam off about WotC/4th edition before I could properly introduse myself. Apologies if this came out a bit rude. :)
I am one of those ppl who started worrying when Dragon and Dungeon got canceled. I was even more worried when ppl started circulating rumours about how 4th edition would be like an MMORG. But I tried to keep an open mind and wait to see for myself. You see last time I was grumbling about a new edition I was wrong. After 2nd ed came 3.0 and in my opinion 3.X and OGL was the best thing that happened to DnD. So even though I was getting more and more worried since I didn't like what I saw on the WotC website, I was hoping that 4th ed would be good. And then I got my hands on the stuff. Needless to say the disappointment was HUGE.
So I turned over to paizo and found what WotC should have been. Top quality stuff, great customer care, and more importantly a fine community of fellow gamers (the paizo ppl included!). A great bravo to paizo, and thanks for giving as an option!
Now that the abomination that is the new GSL is out, and our worst fears are confirmed I think I am calm enough to greet everyone. So that's it. Hello and I am very happy to be here!
