Pathfinder Scenarios at Gen Con: Who's Playing What?

Pathfinder Society

Scarab Sages

Just curious who had signed up for which scenarios and at what time(s) at GenCon. My group of four (including myself) signed up for:

Scenario 1 (The Silent Tide), Friday at 1:00 PM
Scenario 3 (Murder on the Silken Caravan), Saturday at 1:00 PM

We're also signed up for the Writing for Paizo, Sticking with 3.5, and Pathfinder Adventure Path Preview seminars. We're considering signing up for one of the "early" scenarios, as well, but haven't quite decided yet.

Liberty's Edge RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32, 2011 Top 16

I signed up solo for all 4 Pathfinder scenarios, plus the Drow one Friday night. I don't find the time for seminars normally, between all of the other great fun things to do, but would love to read summaries and/or handouts from the Paizo ones.

Can we play these scenarios in any combination or order?

I may have to try to sneak into one of those scenarios if at all possible. I'm seriously <3'ing everything I'm seeing out of Pathfinder.

I've signed myself up to play #1 on Friday afternoon and #2 on Saturday morning, as well as the Sneak Preview and two seminars. I left my schedule free so that I can volunteer to judge either #3 or #4 depending on what the staff needs.

Here's my schedule and I'd be delighted to say hello to some fellow boarders! I'll be playing a human bard.

Thursday 1PM Pathfinder 3

Friday 8AM Pathfinder 4

Friday Night Ascension of the Drow

Saturday 8AM Pathfinder 1

Sunday 1PM Pathfinder 2

-Peter

Grand Lodge 3/5

I have the first 4. I might try and get into the Drow one too.

The Exchange

My plans are:

Thursday AM: Silent Tide
Thursday PM: Murder on the Silken Caravan

Friday PM: Sticking with 3.5 Seminar
Friday Late: Ascension of the Drow

Saturday AM: Hydra's Fang
Saturday PM: Pathfinder AP Preview Seminar

Sunday AM: Frozen Fingers

We (my son and I) are doing all four Pathfinder Society Scenarios.

#1 - Thu morning
#2 - Fri afternoon
#3 - Sat afternoon
#4 - Sun morning

We're also signed up for the "Writing for Paizo" seminar and the "Ascension of the Drow" adventure Friday night.

I'm in

- PFS #1 on friday at 1pm
- PFS #2 on saturday at 8am
- PFS #3 on saturday at 1pm
- PFS #4 on sunday at 8am
- PFAPP on saturday at 5pm
- PFSPAotD on friday at 7pm

I kinda like Pathfinder. It's definitely seven kinds of cool.

Yes indeedy!

Shadow Lodge 5/5

I only had time to sign up for one (oh how I loathe the need to sleep).

So I've got Pathfinder #1 on Saturday morning, bright and early.

If I can figure out how to fit in one more I will, but I'm not counting my chances (unless I drop another Shadowrun game).

Dark Archive

Right now my wife and I are signed up for the following:

Pathfinder: Adventure Path Preview ID # SEM00104 Sat 5-6
Pathfinder: Pathfinder Scenario 1- The Silent Tide RPG01493 Fri 1-5
Pathfinder: Pathfinder Scenario 2- The Hydras Fang- Sat 8am-12pm
Pathfinder: Pathfinder Scenario 3- Murden in the Silken Caravan Sat 1-5
Pathfinder: Pathfinder Scenario 4- Frozen Fingers of Midnight Sun 8-12

I do have a question as to number of players at each table. Will game play be set for 4 players or more?

Also I want to claim Nick Logue as my DM!

Tables will contain (1) GM and no more than (6) players.

I am signed up for virtually everything Pathfinder except Ascension of the Drow, which was filled. Has anyone been to GenCon that can tell me if it is likely a slot will open. If so, is there waitlists or do I just need to stalk and bribe the Paizo guys?

1/5

Signed up for the following:

The Silent Tide; Thursday 8-12 p.m.

The Frozen Fingers of Midnight; Thursday 1-5 p.m.

Murder on the Silken Caravan; Sunday 8-12 p.m.

The Hydra's Fang Incident; Sunday 1-5 p.m.

And I'm also signed up for the Ascension of the Drow event, as well as Paizo's Sticking with 3.5 seminar and the Adventure Path Preview as well.

It looks like I'll be seeing a bunch of you on Saturday at 1:00 for Murder on the Silken Caravan. I think I counted five of you signed up already just from this thread, so that represents most of the slots available.

KE, Jr., I think I'll see you on Sunday for Hydra's Fang if my schedule holds as is.

I look forwad to kill..er..meeting you all.;-) I hope you think the scenarios are fun. I'm no Nick Logue, but I'll do my best to keep up with the flagrant casual in-game swearing.

That would be great Greg, I'm really looking forward to it.

Make that 6. I just checked my schedule, and I'm in that one Sat at 1 also.

Pathfinder #1 - Silent Tide - Thur 8/14 8am
Pathfinder Ascention of the Drow - Fri 8/15 7pm
Pathfinder #2 Hydra Fang Incident - Sat 8/16 8am
Pathfinder #3 Murder on Silken Caravan - Sat 8/16 1pm
Pathfinder #4 Frozen Fingers at Midnight - Sun 8/17 8am

I also made a typo originally in this post and it came out as "Oathfinder" which sounds like it could be a cool game also.

8/14 8am Pathfinder Society Scenario #1: The Silent Tide
8/17 8am Pathfinder Society Scenario #4: The Frozen Fingers of Midnight
8/16 5pm Pathfinder Adventure Path Preview
8/15 8am Pathfinder Society Scenario #3: Murder on the Silken Caravan
8/16 8am Pathfinder Society Scenario #2: The Hydra's Fang Incident
8/14 5pm Writing for Paizo
8/15 5pm Sticking with 3.5: the Pathfinder RPG and the Future of Paizo

I am still looking for things to fill my afternoons. Still looking at 4ed to see if I want to head over and play something at WOTCs. Most likely I will just play it by ear and take in the sights and sounds of my first GenCon.

Dude, don't even try. You'll just sprain your tongue or something. Honestly, if Nick had just skipped saying the F-bomb over the course of Origins last year, he probably wouldn't have lost his voice by the end.

I'll be running "Frozen Fingers at Midnight" in all four slots. I expect I will see some of you there.

Heh, heh. Erik probably still has the tic sheet from the Shadowrun game. Wasn't it like more than once a minute for four solid hours?

LOL! It's true! I can't wait for the sequel Shadowrun adventure this year! I'm stocking up on F-BOMBS just for it!

Erik, Josh?

What was the count? I forget.

Heh, heh. We got Nick to say F-Bomb without actually saying the F-Bomb. Me and Scribey outta' get some kind of a medal for that. :-)

My recollection was something like 247 right at four hours--more than once a minute.

P.S. Totally count me in for the game. The worst ork bodyguard in history rides again!

Guys, I am totally wrong on this stuff. I was looking at it like there was only one table for each of these events. Evidently there are like 12 tables apiece. So if you aren't at the table I'm running, stop by mine and say hi afterward anyway (I'll be the GM whose hands are slaked in PC blood ;-) )

Oh no, don't worry Greg. You're running all 12 tables. MUUUHHAHAHAHAHAAHAH!

::Cracks Whip!::

;-)

12? That's just 1/2 of one slot. Greg's running two games on 24 tables AND he has to run the alternate tables too! Muahahahahahahahahahaha!

Oh, and he has to travel the country to aid all prospective GMs in running their Slot 0s.

Get crackin', Vaughan.

Sweet! I need aid to run the 46.784 games Greg will be running for me.

I am signed up for all four of the scenarios; I don't have the times slots handy. I'll update when I do.

I'll see you all Sunday morning. God help you players if I'm not well rested or the coffee is bad...er...I mean, we'll have fun!

Gen Con Indy sign-ups opened up several weeks back. Visit gencon.com for details.

We will indeed be at Origins. We have two panels scheduled, one of which will be me and Nick talking about Pathfinder Society and then answering questions. Check originsgamefair.com for details.

Change this for me as I will be running tables at GenCon this year. =D

So I will see you all there.

This will be my first GenCon so I am very excited and extra excited to be playing in the Pathfinder Society kickoff, see you all there.

I'll be playing:

Friday Morning: Murder on the Silken Caravan
Friday Afternoon: The Silent Tide
Friday Night: Ascension of the Drow

Saturday Morning: The Hydra's Fang Incident
Saturday Afternoon: The Frozen Fingers of Midnight

*

Thanks to an excellent generous person this board, who had an extra ticket to 'Ascent of the Drow', I will be playing in that.

I am going to let that person remain anonymous, because I don't want to put them on the spot, but they had an extra ticket.

When they offered, I said, "What the f-ck, I'm going to take the day off and drive up from Louisville KY and go play in that event!" It'll be a long drive back that night (hour and a half), but I reckon this is a rare opportunity.

I run two Golarion campaigns, and I promote Paizo all over the city of Louisville- I want in on the action.

I'll be attending Gencon on Saturday. I am not signed up for any events, except an OD game, if there is enough participants. If not, I'll just look around, meet people, or attend the Paizo discussion that day (assuming there are tickets left).

My husband and I wanted to sign up for one of the scenarios, but haven't done it yet. In case we can't get in, I had a question.

Are the games open to spectators? Would we be able to watch one of the games if we can't get in? Or is it only open to the GM and players?

Thanks!

We won't have room for spectators unfortunately.

Playing any scenarios? No.

Running any? Yes, indeedy-do. I will be running PFS scenarios on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of GenCon, as well as helping out with Ascension of the Drow. I'm quite excited about the whole thing. ^_^
