So Wayne Reynolds' designs are great. So much so that I whipped up a quick (oaky, maybe not so quick) picture of Seoni and Marisiel (or is it Merisiel?). I plan on colouring it, and that's when I'll be adding Seoni's tattoos, so for now she goes tattooless.

Anyway, here it is.

Your work kicks ass Claudio. Go get 'em buddy.

Great Work!!! Please do more.

Color me impressed (pun intended). Can't wait to see it with color.

Very nice picture, sir.

As one with no drawing talent, i love seeing the gifts of others in practice.

I too am looking forward to the colored final!

Detail comment: I like the way you worked in the wind to help emphasise they are outside on a hilltop. Between the cloaks and the hair there's nice consistancy ;)

Good job, Claudio.

I do notice that Seoni seems to have had a bit of 'reduction' surgery. Much to many's (and my) chagrin ;-)

I too look forward to the finished product. Good job.

Pretty cool! (And yeah... it's spelled Merisiel).

As for Seoni's reduction surgery... Wayne's origianal concept of her actually wasn't all that crazy super chesty. Certain artists, though, do tend to exaggerate certain features.

But yeah; looking forward to seeing the colored version! (Remember that Merisiel, like all Golarion elves, doesn't have normal eyes, just solid colors, though.)

Interesting - I was wondering what was up with her art, just never bothered to ask.

What is REALLY interesting is that, quite some time ago I decided to do the EXACT same thing with the elves in my own homebrew based upon the artwork in the Games Workshop High Elves book - the way the eyes are in the pen and inks in there are all dark - as if solid colors, and I liked the alieness it gave the race.

Is it time for the first official Pathfinder Coloring Contest?

Very good picture - as I unfortunatly lack any talent in drawing / painting I must say I'm imressed and I'm looking forward to the finished/coloured one. Thank you for sharing the fruits of your efford with us.

Awesome stuff, Claudio! I'm also interested in seeing the final coloring.

Been a fan of yours since I saw your images on Fiery Dragon's Counter Collections. If Paizo's looking for more artwork for their products, I think your work would fit in nicely.

Great stuff Claudio! Would love to see more of your interpretations of the Paizo iconics. Pozas Paizo ftw!

Very nice art, maybe after you finish we can see more of the rest of the iconics?

Agreed - Great job!

Oooohhh... Paizo Counter Collection by Claudio Pozas... shiny!!

Pathfinder webcomic.

Just putting the idea out there...

Great work, man!

Except the "charisma penalty", of course ;-) (come on, people, fess up: No one really doesn't link charisma to the size of certain parts of anatomy. All the talk about confidence and that is just kidding yourself, and no one believes you. It's like saying "I buy the Playboy for the articles" ;-P)

Can't wait for the colour version!

Never gave it much thought. But now I'm having a ha-- uh, a difficult time getting the ...visible... effects of eagle's splendor/ out of my head.

You mean the caster DOESN'T become surrounded by a warm, radiant, glow? *GASP*

Nope. He becomes surrounded by a halo of perfume and make-up. And cha-booster items are padded. That's why they're not working any more once you take them off.

I guess in a world where magic is more commonplace, everyone would be contacted by sales wizards with sending offering them permanent eagle's splendour castings for low low prices - guaranteed to work. You could cast a spell that would grant you a SF* 11+CL.

*Spam Filter, which is how spell resistance would be called

Ha, I did something similar too. Kept the whites of their eyes, but had them be a paler shade of whatever color their irises were.

Always a pleasure to see Cladio's art.

I really like what you have done here. I really seems to bring the high fantasy into a strong focus, closer to realism. It always makes me think...oh yea that how that would really look.

Looking forward to seeing it colored!

Yeah, Seoni's breasts aren't "small" by any means, they're just "realistically big".

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I got a little sidetracked illustrating two adventures (for Fiery Dragon and EN Publishing), but I devoted the past two days to working on Seoni. She's 80% done (a lot of the black lines won't be black in the final picture), but I had to share (you can also see a bit of Merisiel).

Here it is.

Great work Claudio!
I like the way you've done Merisiel. I like the graceful look you've given her!

Just wanted to add that the color really looks great! Nice details, like how you amazingly done the scrollwork swirls is in Seoni's belt and dress. I'm comparing your take compared to Wayne Reynolds.

I will say, in looking at them both, that you did a great job on reproducing the details. However, I am glad you didn't feel the need to give her a "red/sunburned nose" like Wayne did. ;-)

Great stuff!

Silver Crusade

Great work, Claudio!

Overall, I think your work outclasses some of the already published art featuring these ladies. Very nice.

Also glad for Seoni not having a jolly red/sunburned/drank too much tequila nose.

Silver Crusade

C'mon, Seoni's nose was cute!

Claudio's interpretation of Seoni may be just a bit too fair skinned. Shouldn't Seoni have an olive complexion, since she's Varisian? Like Jessica Alba, or a little darker. Now a Shoanti, like the guy in your avatar, should be darker still and more reddish, but maybe not that dark. Maybe the good sheriff gets a lot of sun.

Ok, cutting back on the snark a bit. Sometimes I think the artists don't fully read the descriptions before doing their work.

Otherwise, good job Claudio!

Impressive. Most impressive. I'll admit, I enjoy the more realistic look to Seoni. Her personal flotation devices just don't do it for me.

And before anyone says anything, I've been blessed to see enough real women that the photoshopped airbrushed magazine pics don't do anything for me.

Excellent work, Claudio.

Have you looked at setting up a deviantArt account & gallery? Among other things, this would allow you to easily sell prints of your work "on demand".

DeviantArt's terms of service bar you from selling prints of copyrighted material that is not your own. No fan artwork prints, sadly (from them at any rate).
