Interesting setting James,
But I'll have to pass, I'm just BARELY keeping my act together in my other threads! ;P
Although not knowing much about the setting doesn't bother me so much. It makes it easier (IMHO) to 'explore' and 'discover' your world as a player if you HAVEN'T read the background material!
Speaking of old settings, One that I thought was interesting, and bought some box sets for, but never got to play in,... "Red Steel". Anybody ever play in there?

I'd love to start another game, but I am really maxxed out ATM. I can barely keep up with my current PbP responsibilities.
Though I am having a lot of fun pawing through my Planescape collection for nuggets of fun. I have such a cool module to send you guys through! *squee*

Hey all, just throwing this shout out to the folks I game with. My Gamma World game Appalachee Jihad has been stuttering for a while. I am looking for some fresh mutants to torture. Gaming engine is D20 Modern/Future with elements of D20 Apocalypse and the D20 Gamma World tossed in. If you have any interest, post up in the discussion thread: >here<

Great job, Pat! I had a good time; is there more to wrap up?
Davi, Isaac has a lot of money to divide up and a few other spoils that weren't immediately claimed. He'll probably dump it out on the table at the Cauldron to divide up.
Ranger hit die: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Nah, you guys are done for now. Of course you just trashed a high-level wizard's secret redoubt. So there might be difficulties down the road. :P

Pat, should I convert to tome of secrets Warlock or use the Pathfiderised version on thes boards?
I like the Tome of Secrets Warlock, but it's vastly different to the 3.5 version and you'd lose some of your abilities (Eldritch Glaive and Spider Climb for starters). If any of you don't have it, I highly recommend picking up the Tome of Secrets .pdf while it's on special for $1.
As to whether or not to make the change, I'd say that the decision would be up to you. The 3.5 (with some minor tweaks) is still perfectly playable but if you would prefer to try out the ToS Warlock (I am) and you (and Pat of course) don't mind the change to his abilities, then make the change. :)

I kinda feel like you should stick to the 3.5 version if you will be giving up a lot of your abilities. If you want to go to the ToS version, I do have that PDF. I'll leave that descision to you Mark.
Oh, and I said you folks are finished, but of course there still is the tying together of the few loose ends. You need to pump Brandal's corpse for information. You need to get Eliath to reveal the information Gedrak Ironfist was looking for. Also, you might think about the information you now hold on spies being inserted into the factions. Thst's a valuable secret.

And holy friggen crap!!! 43 new Posts since I checked the Game Thread Yesterday...
I am going to start calling this Game "Son of Son of Forums are Way Too Long"! ;)
This game is older then "the forms are too long", perhaps this game is the long lost uncle of the forms are too long.
I thought we had max HP: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

I think I'll stay with this version then, the glaive's become sort of a signature, as has the spiderclimb.
Personally, I'd up your HD to d8's to keep in line with Paizo's HD/BAB comparisons.
Other than that, the only thing you really have to adjust are your Class Skills. There is no longer any Concentration Skill and Jump would become Acrobatics as your Class Skill. At Pat's allowance, you may want to pick up one more Class Skill to replace Concentration, but it's not technically necessary.Warlock is pretty good in the respect that it really doesn't need much alteration to be in line with PFRPG. Apart from what I've said above, the only thing it's really lacking is some kind of Capstone Ability, but it gets something at every level, so it's not a big deal.

I'll defer to Flash on this one. Mechanics have never been my strong suit.

"Lucky. I just got a few extra invocations."
Alright, I just miss using the character, alright? Shame the game died again even before lynora's real life stuff happened.

OK, Ekuur is all done for level 5, now. One quick question: are we going to have a day or two down time? Ekuur took scribe scroll, and I'd like to write a few if we do have some.
EDIT: And to answer your earlier question, Pat, I REALLY enjoyed the trip to the Plane of Fire. Excellant ending!

Actually, I planned to have several months of (handwaived) downtime. I kinda want to give the illusion of some time spent training the new abilities, otherwise inside a month gametime you all will be epic. It's surreal that that one evening stretched out from June to now ...
If there is anything any of you want to do with your characters that would take some time that you really don't want to spend a lot of time roleplaying out let me know. This could be anything: volunteering at a charity/church, making connections in the Hive, romancing a certain air genasi dancer, etc.
Oh, and I'm glad you enjoyed the Plane of Fire, Bryan. It was a happy coinkidink about Ekuur's worship, that dovetailed nice into my reworking of that old 2E module.

I'll say great work as well Pat, you're without a doubt the best DM I've played with.
As for downtime: Karrin has quite a few things she needs to do.
1)Meet up with her old pal O.L.L.I. at the library.
2)Confront Ramona. Karrin believes that the devil Ramona knows something about Karrin. Karrin isn't sure what though.
3)Find out more about her Axe
4)confess her sins and ask for forgiveness
5)try to find a way of sending a letter home.
6)Help out at the shelter.
7)Karrin also want to help show the ropes to her mercenary friends. Nari and Merle in particular (mainly because Karrin thinks of them as her closet friends).

Swire's plans for the time skip are to keep his ear to the ground for dark about the Shadowknave and otherwise just be a good little cutpurse.

I'd say that Bethany would plan to try and find out more about a Portal home at this stage. She hasn't formed any close bonds with the group as yet (except for Drazek ;) ) and so she'd spend her time looking.
After a while of spending time with the others though, her efforts would become more sporadic. She'd still keep trying, but just not as regularly.

Hmm Merle I see spending more time with Skint if he has come back of course there is also the entire thing with Seph right now speaking of which what Seph does probably depends on what everyone's reaction to him is (A quick question I take it Seph would keep his current mental stats even when in humanoid form?)

James Keegan |

Isaac will probably spend most of his downtime running around or working the forges for The Believers of the Source, maintaining his faction standing (especially if we get some darks off of Brandal). Besides that, he'll hit alehouses and all the usual places, keeping an ear to the ground in case anything on his ex-ladyfriend comes up.

If you want, roll me up as many Sleight of Hand rolls as you would imagine pickpocketing attempts you would make, and I'll give you matching straight 1d20 Perception counter rolls. You can also state that you are looking for richer targets, but their Perception bonuses might go up. If you are interested in making a little extra coin that is (vs. ending up in the Mercykiller's Prison if a roll goes south ..)

I'm already cooking up a good one for Issac .... :)

I can run this either way, if you want to keep your homeworld off the radar we can say that she had no luck, or if you want you can have access.

Skrint can make a reappearance. I think Seph would keep his mental stats, but be able to speak, since he'd have the equipment.

Thanks Guy. Having read your journals about Tristan Lidu, that is a HUGE compliment.

I can write up something for those, no problem. Quint might make a good friend for Karrin to introduce Nari to.

and the sad thing is that I went all the way back to pg 65 to mess that up :( The encounter I was searching for was on pg 58

Ah, but you only go to prison if they catch you. Anyway, a few rolls to pick-pocket: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 311d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 251d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
And one for any information I can overhear about the Shadowknave(Diplomacy) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
