Thank you for everything Mr. Gygax. I was only a fan of your writing and never a gamer ,but both my younger brothers and many of my friends were very deeply into AD&D. And I know that when they played, they were the happiest people in the world and I was always a little bit envious. Back in the 80's while stationed I even saw guys throw togehter campaigns during NATO manuevers ,now that was a dedicated fan base!
Anyone who could make so many people happy had to be someone very special.
God bless.

I think I'm going to pick up a copy of The Anubis Murders tonight as a small way to honor a man who gave me so much enjoyment over the years.
Gary Gygax signed my copy of The Anubis Murders this summer at Gen Con.
For that honor and for the gift of gaming that he gave to me, I am deeply thankful.Think of the millions of lives that man changed forever.
Amazing.
Thanks for dungeons!
And dragons!

Just ordered my Gygax shirt from CafePress!
For the past 25 years, since 1983, Gygax has directly and indirectly influenced by life. Those early days of rolling dice (after coloring them in!) and going through great adventures like The Lost City, Palace of the Silver Princess, and Castle Amber were priceless and full of wonderful memories. And even though 99% of my gaming is now done online, Gary's influence is still as strong as ever.
Had the pleasure of meeting and talking with him on a couple of occasions - once in Atlanta and once at Gen Con - it was always thrilling just to be in his presence.
R.I.P. Gary - and enjoy your next adventure to the fullest!
