High of 35 in Texas in summer means God is being nice to you.
It'll be 35 at 9 pm with a hot wind like an oven being opened when you walk out the door. How cold is Rugby?
Cooler than that (but I exaggerated somewhat). In summer, 25C is a is a nice sunny day, warm but not too bad - average is probably about 20ish. 30C is very hot. In winter, it is normally about 10ish, maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more, though colder at night. It rarely snows, but it can get frosty. The US has much more extreme weather than we do in the UK.

Me too. Not a big fan of hot weather.
As for PaizoconUK, it was small, 40ish people, but that included four or five of my favourite gamers from the UK, who I only ever see at Cons. In the last two years I haven't been to much because of family stuff so this was a chance to catch up.
Richard Pett did a great job DMing us for our first slot, especially good because Nic Logue had had to bail at the last minute. Not his fault but a shame.
The other three slots I ran games and had a blast. One game a DM could have ripped up the PCs really bad but it was much more fun to scare the hell out of them. And that was a pretty confident bunch of players.
Best of all I took a couple of novice friends and they couldn't stop talking about the fun they had had.
I'd go again like a shot but next time I'd probably want to run one of my own adventures for one slot.
Cheers

While nobody likes being cold, you can dress up for cold weather. With a jacket and a wooly hat -12C is nothing. Heat, on the other hand... Without the university swimming pool I don't know how I would have made it through last summer. AZ is hitting 114 now - that's 39C or so. Far, far too warm for human habitation.

Huh?!? What iz theese 'C" of wheech you speek?
Why don't all you metric misfits learn to speak Far-un-hight like us normal folks? ;P
Seriously though, before I degrade this usually brilliant thread into a Metric/US flame war,... (Oops, too late!) I have to agree with the general concesus, I don't do heat either.
My wife is born and raised in SOuth Louisiana, (heat + humidity!) and she hates it worse than I do! SHE should be used to it! But she is deathly AFRAID of moving anywhere where she might have to deal with cold! We lived in OK for a year after katrina, and while I loved it (Of course, I was raised there!) she hated actually being cold in the winter! ;) (Huh, go figure!)
MY thought is, if it's cold, you can ALWAYS put on more layers until your no longer cold. If your hot, you can only take off so much,... before you get arrested in public anyway,... and then your still hot! :)
This week in South Louisiana we're actually kind of cool, only mid 90's. (I have NO idea what that is in Celsius!) ;P But it feels great because the last 2 weeks we were at 102F EVERY DAY!

Mothers: Some RAtM goodies.
Guerilla radio. Important: don't look at the Alanis Morisette cover. Just don't.
Sleep now in the fire
Take the power back
Testify
Bullet in the head
People of the sun
Know your enemy
War within a breath
Bulls on parade
Year of the boomerang
And, of completeness' sake, Killing in the name
A couple of nifty covers:
Renegades of funk. Jam, sucka!
The ghost of Tom Joad
and, finally, Maggie's farm.
Finally, since I'm already posting so much good stuff, here's Mastodon's Blood and thunder, apparently filmed at the world's best Shriner party. Rock on!

Missed out on the tattoos and fathers day piccies but here is one from the Con. I am the happy chap at the far end of the table on 1555jpg.

It was Tempest, but he totally doesn't qualify as you need Spring Attack (plus the two prerequisites feats) and as a barbarian he simply doesn't have the feats to spare. So I'm going with straight barbarian, though I'll look at Dervish and see if it is suitable.
Maybe I'll just multiclass with something from the Book of Nine Swords. What's that fizzing sound? Oh, just Fakey blowing a fuse.

Enjoy your vacation!
BTW, I found this cool picture in today's paper. Animal companion for the win!

No, and I am meant to be going this week. It may end up being Harry Potter but even that sounds like an episode of Beveley Hills 90210.
Found the book a waste of paper too, compared to most of the rest. Last one was a much better story.
Anyway there isn't much choice. What about Public Enemy?-the John Dillinger thing. Any good?

I'll see Public Enemy - it's a Michael Mann movie, so how bad can it be?
Heathy, your son's pretty little, right? The movie's really long, extremely loud and shaky and has that bizarre target-group confusion Michael Bay perfected with Pearl Harbour. In short, I'd recommend renting it rather than seeing it in theatres if he's less than 10 or so.

Yeah he's about 6; I think he'll be okay though. I'm the one that'll freak out from the sensory overload.

It's allright.
Went to the Alamo and Sea World.
Traffic sucks there; not worse than Dallas I guess.
Alamo's weird. It's right in the middle of downtown San Antonio, a small park with the central church; a few acres; surrounded by skyscrapers.
I ate in Fuddrucker's and felt like I was sitting where somebody got their brain blasted out with grape shot or something.
I got to see one of Davy Crockett's rifles.

Heathy I have had a thunk about Oso and here's what I'd like to do.
As his god is Kelanen, I'm guessing the Prince would appreciate being given the blades of our enemies as trophies. Like the Grazzt Aspect Wavy Blade so he can go wave it in front of Grazzt. Well maybe from a distance since Kelanen is only a demi-god.
Anyway DMG2 has some complicated rules for bonding with your weapon and it giving you all manner of powers. Instead I'd just like to build up a bond by gifts to Kelanen.
E.g. Oso has a +2 Bastard Sword. To make it keen means spending a further 10,000gp. How about Oso gives Kelanen 10,000gp worth of baddies quality swords and then gets the upgrade. I can bookkeep for that.
In terms of roleplay I expect Oso would spend the night communing with the sword gift beside him and in the morning find it gone.
Whaddaya say?

Rags there is one item I found in the Complete Champion book, (page 141).
Ring of the Beast allows a druid (even in wildshape) to cast Summon Natures Ally as if it was the next spell level up. So SNA I is cast as SNA II, and so on. The druid cannot cast a spell above his maximum so a 7th druid cannot upgrade beyond SNA IV.
Whaddaya think?
Unfortunately it costs 8K.
There you go Vattnisse.
If you need money Oso can help, since he got a large wedge for that sword. Let me know Oso'll just waste the rest on high living anyway...fleshpots of Sasserine and all that.
Cheers
