Hey Rags. It's been a long road getting back here. Stig is comin. Have to reinstall Hero Lab.
And I'm just thinking about where the hell he's been and what mighta happened.
I'm just glad to see you 'round Kruelaid. Glad your back.
And looking forward to seeing Stiggy in action again too. :)
It would be hilarious if we didn't recognize him because he gave up drinking and lost tons of weight. But then it wouldn't reeeeely be Stiggy, would it? :)

See I was trying to think of ways to make him more dissolute and messed up.

Ewww!
;PI think I'm getting a t-shirt made.
"I survived Tarzan Jr, The Musical"And we managed NOT to do a 'George of the Jungle' imitation while we were at it.
Although it was close. Once or twice. ;)
So I reckon he should show up with dire lice, a Tarzan shirt, and Grooty Mongca trailing along nagging at him.

So last year I got REAL f%in sick and spent two months in bed. I'd be in a wheelchair with arthritis now except I listed to a hippy dippy naturopath and experimented with my diet.
Turns out I am reacting to one of my own gut bacteria, a fermenter.
Key point is being sick as s#~*, I lost almost all my clients. SO basically I spent all last year going into debt just to finance my healing and get my wife here to Canada.
I can't collect unemployment or welfare because (1) I don't f&$@ing want to and (2) I just sponsored a immigrant to Canada (wife).
So up until last Friday life sucked deeply.
But I just got a HUGE web design/copywriting job. HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still, for the next three years my dietary prospects are pretty grim. I have to ferment all my fruits and veggies myself. Can't eat them fresh or raw.
Anyway.. just sayin all that cuz I know you hit a turd and skidded too DMHeathy. Sort of a commiserate thing.
Cept your three kids prolly cost a lot more than my one.

Sounds like you'll adopt the traditional Irish diet - put too much salt on stuff, then boil it to hell. And then boil it a bit more.
Here's what I can eat:
green tea and chamomile
wild caught fish and game meat (because I am allergic to corn and soy, anything that gets feed is off limits)
banana and papaya, fresh and in a smoothie, are the only fruits I can eat--because of enzymes they tend to not ferment
Goat yogurt and goat milk (apparently cow milk elevates immune response)
"juiced" juices, meaning I make them myself--added preservatives and sugars will kill me--and I have to remove as much fiber as possible because the fiber is a growth matrix for the gut bacteria I am fighting
Sauerkraut and other fermented vegetables... and for this I've just started fermenting my own stuff.
And that folks is ALL I can f@$$ing eat for at least a year. Every f&%!ing day.
I've been at it for 3 months so far.

Ohmygosh! Really?!?
I had trouble not eating for ONE day before my surgery.I might be able eat that for 3 days, but 3 MONTHS?!? :(
You, Sir, are either a Saint, or have the willpower of a Rock. A very large, stubborn rock. Like Rushmore.
May your endurance, Willpower, and sanity hold out, and be rewarded with a multitude of delicious goodies once you are healed! :)

On the plus side,...
(My mother always told me to look on the bright side of things)
You don't have to decide what to have for dinner every day? That's a time saver!
:)
(Only partially joking. My family spends so much time debating what to have/fix that if we actually planned ahead we could eat hours earlier!) :/

That is a very restrictive diet and you have my sympathy. On the up side, it sounds like the diet working in terms of healing the health issues that you're dealing with. And that's good news!
I'm currently on a somewhat similar, though (far) less restrictive diet.
No gluten
No eggs
No dairy
No nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, chillis, capsicum, eggplant)
No alcohol
Again for immune system reasons. Basically my gut is allowing a lot of proteins through that it shouldn't, and my immune system is seeing them and causing systemic inflamatory cascades.
I miss a bunch of the food I used to eat, but I undoubtedly feel better.

Ugh that is the ultra suck. Is this all from the incident in China?
We have no idea. In fact we think the incident in China may not be the cause, it might have been antibiotic treatment for dysentery that I had 3 years into my CHina life or a HepA vaccine reaction after my poisoning--my doctor suggested that this vaccine could be big trouble for people with existing GI problems (like bowel overpermeability).
As with all s%@& like this, it's probably cause by a whole host of environmental, metabolic, and inherited conditions.

Yah that's my take on it. Saves on planning. Although I did have to learn to make all this s*+%. I ferment/culture everything myself.
The only way I manage to stay on the diet is remember the pain I was in this summer. Felt like people were inserting needles through my joints.

Keep with it, you be cool. Try eating a little sauerkraut every day.
And what you have is how I started--with bowel overpermeability--and for sure that's still the cause of my arthritis... but it has evolved into really nasty dystbiosis and twitchy, irritable bowels.
Doctor is looking for someone who does fecal transplants. Yah you heard me folks... In the meantime I am trying to heal myself with VERY gradual success, and doing it with no meds.
Best benefits to it all are learning how to control my own eating, because I was really compulsive about carbs, and having six pack abs again at age 43 (lost 40 lbs since last April).

Wow. Just,... Wow.
Ultra suck only starts to describe it.
On the plus side,... Six pack abs! C'mon, that HAS to be a plus! :)
I, Myself, have a 1 pack. Which is at least better than the 'keg' I used to have. ;P
Good luck guys! I hope the treatments/diets brings the desired results.
Sooner, rather than later, of course! :)
