Ok so I just got my new Pathfinder and Gamemastery module, and what do I find inside the package...a christmas card from Paizo.

This thing is awesome. It has one of the best card covers ever, and the goblin song inside (sung to the tune of Jingle Bells) is incredible. I laughed so hard, that root beer came out of my nose.

Thanks for the card, and Happy Holidays to all of you Paizoites? Paizoeans? Paizo peoples.

Were you actually drinking root beer at the time?

Unfortunately yes. It has a bit of a sting to it when its being expelled out of your nose at a high rate of speed.

I shall be sure to remember that when my package arrives from Paizo. Thanks for the Heads up!

Perhaps Root Beer adds to the effect. If you take away the blowing of carbonated root juice through your nasal orifices you may be reducing the impact of the card.
I will be sure to be drinking Root Beer when said package arrives as to fully experience this unique experience.

;P

It was indeed a almost divine experience. I have shot many carbonated beverages out of my nasal cavity over the years, but root beer is a feeling all its own.

Oh and make sure you actually sing the song as it should be (to the tune of jingle bells) it definately adds to the humor.

I sang it to my cats and wife. I think the cats resemble (somewhat) the goblins in the jingle. I've got the card up on the fridge, next to all our other xmas cards (all of which have pictures of people's pets in funny hats/costumes.)

Holiday card *cough* *cough* and you're welcome. :-)

I think this thread is an excellent Holiday reminder for all mature adults to stay safe and drink root beer responcibly. Remember that there are services available for those that need them.

I would LOVE to see a goblin try to drink root beer. They've probably never experienced fizzy drinks before.

And here I thought I was special. :(

Ah, I'm used to it. Thanks a lot Paizo! Really made my day after finals. :)

Like catnip, it won't be a pretty combo . . . but highly entertaining!!

Spoiler:
I can see it now. The PC's get inside the heart of Thistletop by painting themselves green and offering the king barrels of free root beer.

Some things I have to say

1. Pathfinder needs goblinnip

2. I don't know about root beer, and I prefer to be the cause of other people playing Soda Fountain. One of my older DMs went through this twice (according to Munchkin, that cashed me two free levels), and related to me these insights:

Isotonic Sports Power Drinks with Grapefruit Flavour hurt rather delightfully when expelled through the nose

Don't try to breathe cappucino.

I'll be sending a complimentary case the Paizo offices.

I didn't get a Paizo Christmas Card :(

Was it only for people with Pathfinder and GameMastery subs?

Scarab Sages

I'd like to add my thanks for the card as well. I'm trying to find an appropriate address to send the thank you note.

And it is, in deed, cool. My wife loved the song as well.

Did you enter the RPG Superstar contest?

Nope. Is that why?

I didn't enter the RPG superstar contest, and I got one.

Were you a good boy this year?

Every subscriber was supposed to have gotten a card in their shipment. Are you sure it wasn't stuck in the bottom of the envelope? I guess with packing thousands and thousands of copies, the warehouse guys could have missed one or two. Sorry about that. Our intent was to send one to all our subscribers.

Were they sent with PF#4? I didn't see one, but then again, that package also included two non-subscription modules, so maybe it was missed.

Yeah, I triple checked and even made sure the envelope wasn't an envelope of holding or Heward's Handy Envelope (it wasn't, worse the luck!).

It's probably because I had PF3 and PF4 shipped in the same envelope due to a billing snafu.

GoblinNip!! That's Brilliant!

If I thought my players needed the help, I would give them access to GoblinNip before a big Goblin Battle so they could try to distract the little freaks a bit. The folks I play with probably don't need the help. But I might do it anyway, just for s#its & giggles.

I sang the song for my wife. That Christmas card was almost as good as the time I found a free booster pack of item cards in the bottom of my shipment. (Hope I'm not getting anyone from shipping in trouble for mentioning that!)

We need to talk the folks who did the original goblin song mp3 to turn this into an mp3 too!

So I opened my Pf#4 this morning before leaving for work, and sung the goblin tune to my wife as she was feeding our dog.

Her response was that the people at paizo have too much time on their hands if they that is what they're writing. I just had to grin.

The Paizo Holiday card just made my day! I love how those dastardly little hooligans have the Paizonian Golem all wrapped up in a string of lights... his feeble little wave is so heart warming.

And the jingle inside would've made me snort burning fizzy liquids too if I had been drinking them at the time.

Same (got it last week, actually). AND, I got another card today :)

Liberty's Edge

I got the "holiday" card last week with my order. Thanks again for being the great company that you are. Here's to another excellent year!!

Thanks for the fun holiday card, Paizo peoples. It's the first on my mantel this year.

Dear Santa,

I got "Grinched", no card came for me in my PF4 envelope. Just some lousy picture of a lump of coal (ok, so it was really my PF4 issue) and a empty dusty envelope. Likely an oversight, I know those guys at Paizo really like me deep down inside.

Anyhow, for Christmas I would like a Staff of Life, +3 Vorpal Longsword (the one with the green and blue tassel, you know the one) and a reinforced scarf for those cold winter nights when I have to fight goblins. I have been a good Dungeon Master, only having to successfully coup-de-grace four players this past year, and playing through many of the Gamemastery line of adventures (ps: D1 is cruel and unusual punishment).

Thanks Santa, I look forward to your visit down my chimney this year, and perhaps I'll just have to order those Pathfinder Item Cards and TC1 without the discount.

Your pal,

Festivus.

After rooting through my trash, I found the card, indeed stuck to the bottom of the envelope. You know, I never had to expect gifts with orders before I started buying from Paizo. Now I'm going to have to take 20 while searching my orders.

Is there any way you guys could stop being such a great company?

I've gotta add my thanks upon the heap of thanks, thus far, about the Christmas card; not only was it unexpected, but the song is an excellent addition to goblin songs thus far sung.

Thanks!

Um, who got these? Only "charter subscribers"? I heard about these but didn't get one.

Thanks for the card! Whoever wrote, or helped write, the song did a great job. My kids have been singing it for the last several days! They seemed to have it memorized in moments. I only noticed today the discount code. Too bad its only good for a couple of more days. I'm caught up on everything I want right now.

I don't call that good, I call that lousy. You're not even trying! ;-P

I got two cards, so anyone in the Beaverton area who didnt get one, that wants one, can have my spare.

Love the Christmas card! Great illustration on front and the goblin holiday jingle is very festive! I brought it to my game Friday, everyone's heart felt warmed with holiday goblin cheer!

Dear Lisa,

I got my Pathfinder 4 issue today but there was no "holiday" card inside. :-( Why does Santa hate me?

Love always,

Olaf the Stout XXXOOO

:-)

I didn't order anything (i only buy downloads).
I just received the goblin card in the mail, just before Xmas :D

Thank you, Paizoids !

Dark Archive

And still no Pathfinder 4 here.

*sigh*

Yes I must admit that I was greatly entertained by the card. But what I liked most was the thought and effort that went into it, and this is why I stuck with Paizo when they lost Dragon and Dungeon. The customer service and attention to detail is unparalleled and greatly appreciated.

Got mine this weekend. Thanks guys, you am da best!

I got two cards in mine (Thought I almost missed 'em, they were crammed way down in the bottom of the envelope.)

Thanks Paizonians!

Mine arrived today, along with PF4.

My only gripe (and it's a minor one) is that the promotional code in there expires today. Not a lot of time to go shopping on the side.
