These creatures from "Wells of Darkness" are of animal-level Intelligence. Does it make sense that they'd be dealing for the carnal offerings of succubi, and making crude advances on intruders, even if they are corrupted?
I also don't much like that the corrupted template permits creatures of animal Intelligence to have a non-neutral alignment. (The fiendish template, for instance, raises Intelligence to at least 3.) Another example of quirkiness in the BoVD.

Think of it as a really creepy version of having a friend's dog "snuggle" your leg.

Many years ago, my sister-in-law had a donkey on her farm .... a very strange one at that.
This donkey (male) would literally try to "mount" anything that moved. One learned quickly when visiting the farm to be always aware of where this donkey was, particularly if you were bending over to do farm work of some sort.
The other animals did their best to move away from the donkey when he was around.
I kid you not! Can't explain the behavior but my sister-in-law joked that the donkey was probably some sexual pervert reincarnated as a donkey.
Had a mutt dog once that would mount anything... female dogs, male dogs, cats... he even tried to have a go at a bicycle wheel (while it was moving).
So if anyone is curious as to why I included the "lusty girallons", I was faced with the following conundrum: FC1 clearly established that succubi had and could reach the pool to communicate with Shami-Amourae, and yet the plot outline had Demogorgon defending the Well against those who might free her. I figured I'd play on the natural talents of succubi (seduction, no matter how base, ability to assume other forms) to explain how the succubi got past the first ranks of defenders. Now that the girallons are accustomed to the regular exchange of favors (passage for favors), they assume the PCs will offer the same thing.

I'm back even after that disturbing mental Image of John Travolta. But It did make me think about a Succubus/Girallon Love child? A large voluptous 4-breasted naked Succubus pounces on you, the strong talons on her four arms shred your clothing, her long unkept silvery-white hair fall down In front of her feral but somewhat pleasing face her eyes are wild not with hate or love but something nervously In between. And her ruby red lips caked with the blood of ex- lovers that didn't satisfy her desires.

Of course, succubi can't take the form of girallons so they probably didn't even bother changing their forms (unless they are special succubi). I think they'd be a lot of hurting succubi out there!

They could try charm monster, though.

Actually, while dancing around the issue, all the other primates are less impressive than humans. So gorillons aren't exactly gonna be goristroi.

Jutting my lower chin, grunting, motioning towards the PCs while humping at thin air? I can't wait!
What's even funnier is that the upper two arms can be pointing while the other two are pumping and thrusting in a way that can only mean one thing - love machine.
The thing that bothers me most about this thread is that I read the whole damn thing. And laughed.
