Why is everyone typing in strange ways and saying things that sound like they came directly from the untitled thread, or alternately, sound like piratical speech? Or is this Paizo's idea of an April Fools joke? And why do we have smurfs popping up like mushrooms at random?

I get the feeling that Gary will revert the messageboard programming back to normal whenever he gets into the office today. Which, assuming they work remotely normal hours, should be in about an hour.
I thought if the joke was after midday on April the 1st the person playing the joke was the fool for the whole year. Or was that someone playing an april fools joke on me?
Maybe we make more sense this way, or maybe they forgot how to turn this off?

I don't find it amusing. Nor did I yesterday. When I saw it yesterday and realized it was a joke, I logged off and didn't return to just now. Guess I'll have to wait some more. Sigh...

I stayed off most of yesterday for the same reason. It was too difficult too do much. I wish they would shut it down already....It is now an old joke and an annoyance. I do wish I had the pirate-speak filter though.

I was wondering why it was Talk Like Elmer Fudd Day, but then I saw all the variations. My favorite is the faux-German accent.

I find it amusing that Zombie's posts, which consist of gibberish, seem to be unaffected by the April Fools Day filters. Maybe it's a "smart" filter that realizes it can't make this nonsense any worse!

You can blame me for the fact that the filters are still running even though it's not April Fools Day anymore. When Lisa caught wind of what we were planning for the messageboards, she said she wished April Fools would last forever.... And of course I took her literally.
I'll turn them off as soon as I can figure how to do it. I inserted tab A into slot B, and it wouldn't quite fit, so I had to use some superglue and duct tape, and now it's just this kind of big wad of crusty stuff. I might need a hammer and chisel. Maybe some paint thinner. And possibly a rock.
