Wow, me too. A friend got us a subscription to dragon. I started lurking around the message boards and got sucked in. It can't be helped, everyone on this site is warm, friendly and weird enough to be a family member. You would all be welcome in my home.

Thanks Lady Lena! Might get crowded though...

I gotta really big barn, we can overflow there.

I found paizo when I actually read the adds in a issue of Dragon that I picked up at Barnes and Noble. The only place I actually buy gaming stuff other than the orders I place here at PAIZO.

I'm actually physically addicted to your GameMastery product line, so I have to check back every day to see what the latest news is or I get all itchy.

I like the variety of quality products. You just don't see that on other sites. For example, Erik Mona's Planet Stories is a master stroke. I would like to see that area expanded into other lines.

Also, the rare items I don't believe I would have ever seen elsewhere, like the glow in the dark Cthulhu dice, keep me checking your virtual shelves regularly.

I hear ya Vattinese, I used to be at Wotc, and Hordelings a lot but those flaming fanboys and munchkins chided me like a evil stepmother everytime I posted(raises a shaking fist...) My wife turned me on to this site..I don't remember(Can we check our join date?) I started reading threads, laughing, find tons of interesting characters and was even more surprise when I saw Erik Mona and James Jacobs names etc..Then my wife tells me she posting with Uncle (RJK) and she's named Robilars dragons and he's gonna use them..and I was like this is the best place Evar!!!(I would raise money to save it..Hell I go to 4e if paizo does I know I will...

Messageboard addict 4sure!

I heard about it from a friend, and wanted to join some campaigns online. I really like how everyone on these boards seem to be real people, (trust me, I have been on some where they don't) and are so nice to fellow posters. Some boards I've been to seem to have no point other than to argue and disagree with everything any other poster says. Keep up the good work Paizo!

But what made me stay?
But over all it was Heathansson, I was reading his post and I was like this dude is funny as hell, I started stalking his post he was crazy, off the wall comments and I was like what the hell can get this guy banned...He's got like 15,000+post what is he the second memeber to join? That and word games...

I started collecting Dragon near the end of 2E and got a subscription once I saw how good it was. That took a little while, but when I did I sent the $ to Paizo. Once I started seeing comments about products and figured out where the Paizo website was, I came here and did a little shopping. I eventually strayed over to the messageboards and have been endlessly amused ever since. While I first joined a board over at WotC, I never really posted and didn't care to once I found friendly, fun people to interact with (as compared to the WotC posters, who I will not bash at this time out of courtesy). Now I'm addicted and wander in daily (good distraction from the thesis proposal these days).

Sovereign Court

I had just got back into the DnD environ and some nerd (The good kind) showed me RotRL issue 1. I looked it up, saw the massive amount of stuff available, there is crap available from WotC thanks to the impending 4th ed. I really had nowhere else to go for gaming goodies. The more I poke around the site the more I buy.

The Forums are a great venue for information, I have tons to offer and when I have a question I get at least a few responses.

I also feel like I have a bit of input into the products you design. I've thrown some threads together about what I want to see and I actually get some back and forth with you'all. I feel like a shareholder with a investment with the company.

I was in the Newsagents a couple of years ago (after being out of RPing for quite a while... before 3e anyway) and saw a copy of Dungeon #131 with the Free Poster Map of Alhaster and I got a bit Nostalgic (I have quite a large collection of "old skool" Dragon & Dungeon) and bought it. Then I started rebuying Dragon & Dungeon again a couple of months later to see what was Going Down in Chinatown. I saw that the Mags were being produced by you guys and decided to drop in and see what's up. After Lurking for a little while I finally startred to post and the rest is history.

Now I am staying for the Pathfinder Chronicles and because of the high production and community values of Paizo (and also because it is a good place to get stuff cheap while the Aussie$ is so good aginst the US$).

Liberty's Edge

I saw an advertisment in my Dungeon/Dragon subscriptions, so I decided to look at the site. Once I finished browsing the store, Iexplored the messageboards and read a lot of intelligent/humorous posts. I decided to come back on regular basis, both for the products and the chats.

I haven't regret that decision yet.

Because I was lonely.

I'm not joking.

Google. I was in China and wanted to buy some RPG crap. I noticed the folks posting here were a bunch of addle-brained morons so I felt at home.

Dude, you've got to get in on the pbps, too. It's crazy fun.

I feel welcome and at home here. And for a D&D forum, this place is not nearly as nerdy as you would think it would be.

(although, go to the 4E threads if you want nerdery)

There's a lot of good people here, I just like to hang around and be a part of the group.

Sovereign Court Wayfinder, PaizoCon Founder

I found my way here via Jason's Eberron campaign. One of my friends was working there at the time, and got me invited to the table. Mike McArtor said one session that he "posted the journal on the boards", which was a strange thing to say, I thought. So I asked, he pointed, and I have been here since.

Why do I stay? Much what others say....it's a great community. Heck, I get to go chat with folks over in the chatroom, and I find that I have a lot in common with them. I even got to blow demons and zombies up with Lilith, and we discuss it here. Plus, I posted a LFG thread in Connections, and we got ourselves another local player who has been great fun to play with!

It's fun. Addictive. Entertaining. Informative.

It's in the Paizo porn section, you must obtain a Adultkey first before Gary Teter will even let you in.

"Why are you here?" Gosh, I had a Babylon 5 flashback and was looking for the dark side version, "What do you want?"

They wanted my first born, I said they would have to wait!

The Adultkey cost $39.95 a month, but you get Pathfinder after hours with all types of sexual content penned by Nicolas Logue (If you thought he could write for horror wait til you read his prose on group sex, amazing!).
NPC centerfolds by Wayne Reynolds and so much more...

1. Knowing me, I probably came here to kvetch about something (which says to me, don't ever stop screwing up, because it brings customers).

2. I like to think of myself as the "voice of reason."

3. Mostly the PbP's. The other sections are a little acerbic lately and I'm in a cooling off period until replies of substance return. Well, that and websense hasn't blocked it yet.

And speaking of pbps, when is Tobus Neth going to get his ass into a pbp?

Collector friend has no Seren but has heard of it. I can't really find much about it other than it is really expensive. I first heard of it from you.

I've gone over to bump the pbp discussion.

It's a great forum for a great company that takes the social aspect of it's games seriously.
Also, everyone on the boards acts in a responsible, sane and flame-free manner (most of the time).
Oh, and I'm waiting to get offered cookies. I heard there were cookies.

Oh and also because I have posted a total of twice on the Wizards boards and have been made to feel like an idiot for asking a question that I am unsure of the answer to (unike asking a question that I actually know the answer to) BOTH times. I ask a question here and get sensible answers that make me feel loved *sniff*

EDIT: unless Heathy answers, then I get an insensible answer (or is that unsensible) ;)

Ahhh. You must not have the decoder kit.

Dark Archive Owner - Johnny Scott Comics and Games

Random browsing for D&D content brought me here. I noticed the website address in Dragon magazine, and checked it out. Then I read over some of the postings (which were insightful and helpful), and became hooked.

These boards are the only civil and genuinely enjoyable place I've found where I can find information to use in campaigns, discuss D&D rules options, or just play word games.

Thanks to all of you for making this place rock!

Meeting people? Here? Grognards, Fanbois, and other strangeness, but people? Highly unlikely...
