I'm looking at my first character, and I want to do a grenade specialist. Specifically a Kasatha that holds 4 grenades in its hands and runs in and out, dropping activated grenades (as no action cost!).
The Core book implies that grenades only detonate when thrown, but there is the detonator item that can be programmed to explosives (I could hold 3 grenades and a detonator, run in and drop grenades and run out, and then press detonator) but there's also mention of a delayed fuse in the Pull The Pin feat which does not seem to be in the Core book anywhere but implies that grenades with a delayed fuse can be activated and explode 1 round later. Would this work as of now? I'm thinking that I'll have to settle for a detonator and 3 grenades to drop at a time at the moment until we see a delayed fuse come out.
Would Bombard and Blitz be the best for this type of character? I like Blitz for the land speed increase but Hit and Run also fits very well for the concept!
You know that Cosmic Odyssey: Service Bots and Synthetic Companions book I won't stop talking about? It is HERE!!!
Make your own synthetic pal with over 690 septillion combinations or use one of our 100 pregenerated Service Bots included in the book!
So this will be my first year I'm able to attend any day of PaizoCon!! Super excited the wife wanted to schedule a trip to Seattle to visit a friend, which is where I'll be staying, and she gave me the go ahead to attend!
I'll be there for Saturday May 27th for the day and the banquet. Hope to see a bunch of folks I've only gotten to meet online!
So who's coming?!
The clouds allow movement on them as if they were solid ground that is considered difficult terrain. Creatures may also pass through the cloud bank; every square is considered difficult terrain whether a creature is walking or flying and normal vision is reduced to 5 feet. The cloud formation lasts for one minute, after which it swirls suddenly and pops out of existence. Bottled cloud may also be dispersed by a moderate wind (11+ mph).
Any spell with the electricity descriptor passing through or cast while in contact with the cloudstuff causes the clouds to become dark gray and thunder to rumble menacingly. Any creature passing through or in contact with the contents of bottled cloud in this state must be successful at a Reflex save with a DC equal to 13 or be struck by lightning, suffering 3d6 points of electricity damage.
Ok, I'll bite and do my annual review of all the Official Critique My Item reviews in my own thread to keep that thread as clean as possible.
I've finally finished my Top 32 reviews so I will start with Page 1 and work my way through. Please bear in mind that I do not mean any negative things personally against you, the writer. I will do my best to make it constructive so that you can grow as a writer.
P.S If you wish to respond to critiques, please do so in this thread and put it in spoiler tags so as to keep THIS thread manageable.
Decent name and makes me think of a war razor...but its a scimitar! Not sure yet if I love that but it works.
Template seems good. Pricing feels right.
I know what you were going for in your descriptive sentence, but I think you could rewrite it to be clearer/better/etc.
A free action for the bull rushing wind...That's better than a quickened spell and still allows for both a quickened and regular spell to be cast that round...along with this. I would make it a move action and once per day.
I think this would actually work better if it were a throwing weapon...like a chakram. The next power...and the windy stuff in the beginning...would make more sense.
Overall, this is a good, book of magic items, weapon. It's not quite Superstar but you've got potential. Keep working on tying your powers subtly to weapon (or item) type and alluding to HOW the power work (throwing a chakram that causes a bull rushing burst of air of shimmering wind that aids allies in charge/run/withdraw actions makes more sense that unsheathing a scimitar)
This caught me off guard when reading through the R4 rules:

The Top 4 already notified? Why do you keep us in suspense!?!
In spirit of submitting my own item...
Congratulations for submitting your item! It takes guts and I salute you.
Please remember to vote when voting begins on 1/1/14. Let's see if we can break the voting records from last year! I know I'm personally aiming to see if I can get more than my number last year.
Also, please do not post ANYTHING here or on other boards about what your item is. You can say that you did submit...but no identifying posts.
I was wondering if it's been discussed at all or if it would be possible to get a folder of the character art stripped out of the AP pdf's. The folder could be included when you download each book, just like the interactive maps. I use these in my PbP's (as I'm sure many do) and it would be such a super nice thing (another super nice thing) that Paizo could do for us. I would love it if I could get the art without my bungling attempts at covering up text or without possibly crossing a legality line by using a pdf extractor.
Just wanted to point out that the gauntlets say that the WAND reduces the target's Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution.
Wasn't sure where to put this...
Looking for a replacement for my 2nd group in this recruitment thread. Our dwarven cleric has not been responsive for a while and the party needs some sort of healer. Not looking specifically for a healer but someone who is at least partially skilled at it.

Seeking 2 replacements for Reign of Winter in the Snows of Summer book.
Possibly a 3rd replacement will be sought but for now, just 2.
We have a Barbarian, a Cleric, and an Alchemist in the party currently.
20 pt buy, Core + APG + UE ONLY. 2 traits if desired (not necessary, Campaign Traits welcome).
Standard starting wealth.
I will probably leave this open until 9/20/13, but if I find concepts I'm interested in by then I will close early.
Early call for 4-5 player group for Wrath of the Righteous. I'm an AP subscriber, so I should have book in hands very quickly after release.
Core, Advanced Players, Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat, and Mythic Adventures books. Basically, no Advanced Race Guide. I am considering a few things from Ultimate Campaign but no promises (unless someone can send me something to tip the scales). No 3pp stuff unfortunately, it'll be interesting enough with the new Mythic rules that I don't want to confuse anything else even more.
Contingent upon me really not liking how the final version shows up, I will be using mythic flaws. If your concept already has one picked, great, but I will make a final decision on all the flaws once I get my gruuby paws on the book.
20 pt buy, no score below 8 and no score above 18 pre racial bonuses.
Looking for 1 meaningful post a day bare minimum. Weekends are hard for me so I won't require posting on weekends. Absences are ok, just with some notice.
I like to use Google Drive for mapping purposes. 2 traits, campaign not necessary but welcome.
I will consider LE on a case by case basis but there will need to be some really good backstory. Mostly looking for anything BUT evil. We are ata war with demons here, so LG doesn't mean non-violent automatically.
Recruitment will be open until 8/16, noon PST (or GMT-8)
So my RL group just got together and started creating characters. We are going to start Snows of Summer in a week or two.
They want to do it as an evil campaign.
I have a couple ideas (they are trying to free Baba Yaga so THEY can take her captive/get her power/etc.)
Any general (or specific) advice anyone can think of to help running this AP as an Evil campaign?
I'm really scratching my head on just starting it...what would make sense for a group of evil pc's to be in Heldren to begin with???
My dog, Ginger, has some issues we just found out about when we had to take her to the emergency pet clinic. She's having an issue with food and grass staying in her stomach and distending it so much that it presses on her heart and lungs. This makes it extremely hard to breathe and difficult to swallow. We now need to have some more tests and surgery done to ascertain if there is blockage in her small intestines.
So I turn to this fine community for help with her vet bills.
Here is her donation page: http://www.gofundme.com/2qlodo
Thank you in advance for even taking the time to look over it.
Starting at book one The Snows of Summer.
Looking for a 4-5 player group. 20 pt buy or roll 4d6 and drop lowest if you prefer older methods. Core + APG only as I do not own UM, UC, or ARG. Ultimate Equipment is fine. Standard starting wealth. 2 traits if desired.
Please spoiler your character here if interested. Let's shoot to have recruitment ended by Friday 4/12/13.
Good job everyone. From us submitters, to us voters, especially to you winners, and very especially to you judges.
The rest of us (now) spectators, let's apply our voting work ethic to giving good feedback to each of the 32.
I know I've made sure to hit each one, and even if it is just a pat on the back it shows support to the process. It might be you in that forum next year!
Just had an interesting question come up. Does it require an immediate action to spend the Mythic Point when using the Mythic Spell path ability?. Using the Mythic Power section, it mentions costing an immediate action albeit that is in reference to adding to your d20 roll. If it does cost that immediate action then those users lose their swift action for the round.

Calling all playtesters! We'll be using the errata from the Mythic Updates threads.
20 pt buy, Core+APG, traits allowed, standard WBL with no accounting for Mythic Tiers. Level 6 Tier 3. Any classes/paths allowed. 3-5 players. Flaws are optional...but I may pick one for you if the rest of the team has one.
Put your build here. I'll probably throw a super light story on the combat. There will be more than *just* combat though.
Will make decision on party by 1/6/13 at noon. Earlier if there's enough good interest.
Just like the title says, do the characters know about their own weakness?
One of my players (facing a mythic black pudding) has a weakness to acid. He asked if his character should know the flaw. I ruled yes in this case, as the party is about 2 rounds from being killed, but I could see an argument for both.
So...do they know?

Domina, as you reach for your spellbook, you notice a card sitting on top of it. Not just any card, but a Harrow card. It has a four of Diamonds as the suit. Curious, you flip it over and see a message written in a shaky hand, "I know what Gaedren has done to you. He has wronged me as well. I know where he dwells, yet cannot strike at him. Come to my home at 3 Lancet Street at sunset. Others, who are special like you, will be there. Gaedren must face his fate, and justice must be done."
James, as you reach for your notebook where you keep notes on your search for your daughter, you notice a card sitting on top of it. Not just any card, but a Harrow card. It has a seven of Hearts as the suit. Curious, you flip it over and see a message written in a shaky hand, "I know what Gaedren has done to you. He has wronged me as well. Silas, as you reach for your own deck of cards, you notice a peculiar card sitting on top of it. Not just any card, but a Harrow card. It has an ace of Diamonds as the suit.
Vanderoff, as you reach for your symbol of Torag, you notice a card sitting on top of it. Not just any card, but a Harrow card. It has a three of Hearts as the suit.
Pengon, as you reach for your bow to oil it, you notice a card sitting on top of it. Not just any card, but a Harrow card. It has a six of Hearts as the suit.
