Good luck on the new avatar images, they haven't updated those since book three of Iron Gods.

Believe you me, I've been asking for them. :-)

I wish this would happen. I need this to happen.

It won't happen.

Starfinder Tales, Starfinder Comics and Starfinder Legends.

I suspect there's a few intervening steps though.

No, since this is science fantasy and not hard sci-fi, you can have a flip-mat of an absurdly dense asteroid field with no problem.

Star Frontiers Knight Hawks came with a giant empty space hex map for doing starship battles.

This is the most troublesome part of running a space Pathfinder game. The lack of accessible Pawns/minis. Even people playing other RPGs would kill for some Starfinder Pawns.

... I am imagining Kobolds stacked three high inside that armor trying to pass off as something far more competent then they actually are. The left and right arms are fighting each other over who gets to shoot the plasma rifle. On the Plus side, mind control spells dont really affect it as 2/3rds of the armor continue acting normally anyways.

Sounds more like something goblins would do.

Yeah, I don't see kobolds fighting each other when there are other opponents in the field. AFTERWARDS, maybe, but part of the 'charm' of kobolds v. goblins is that they *work together*.

Can we gene-splice Kobolds and Goblins into a new race sharing the worst qualities of both? Gobolds or Koblins?

Ah? Ah? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh~?

The first time, as GM, that I space an entire party without suits on.

*Happy Prospector Dance, modified to mimic zero g environment*

OOO! And also: Talking like HAL 2000 for session after session after session after session, until my group snaps and wrestles me to the ground and pummels me senseless as I sing "Daisy, Daisy" all the way down. I will coMMIT to that bit!

Once, back in the 3.5 days, a GM wanted to run a ship based campaign. He immediately and rightfully became suspiscious when i built a character dedicating almost all skills, feats and race towards swim checks. i pointed out how brutal the drowning rules could be and how i was going to go every possible fight with "I rush the enemy leader, take the AoO and go overboard with them." I may have to adopt this tactic to spaceships...

Just wear mech suits 1 size larger than you, you silly kobolds.

They should probably get rid of the create water cantrip in Starfinder. Otherwise, you know someone's going to fill up someone else's spacesuit and wait for them to drown...

Look, if you've got line of effect to the inside of their suit, a few gallons of water are the least of their concerns.

I suppose so. I'm feeling too lazy to work out the details, but I'm almost sure with about 15-20 hours worth of work I could put together a complicated, Rube-Goldbergian build that would be able to cast create water without needing line of effect.

This sort of task is why I need a gaming intern.

I just have to ask: Am I the only one who thought of Negation?

I would love it if they made a Starfinder parody of Cave Johnson and Aperture Science with the completely off-the-wall alchemical concoctions. Turning blood into gasoline, feces into coal, giving you tumors, etc.

Although Golarion is not ready for a portal gun (:

I want a new Golem just for SF. One that appropriately fills all Sci-Fantasy niches!

And then you could have an entire tribe of goblins square off with it in space, with plasma rifles and crazy fire blasting shamans! In space suits...with little rocket packs (because we all know they love fire) to ride around on!

You could even call it

We be Goblin Fire! (aka Five?)

This.

By far, the bestiary thing Paizo dies, is APs (and advetures in general). Sci -Fi games also have a problem here, with little sdventure support, and we as GM have less assumptipns to work with: Fantasy has Tolkien "as default", 40 years of DnD, snd several millenia of myth and legends to draw inspiración from. Comparatively, scifi is just a blip in the radar, Achilles snd Gilgamesh were being written for centuries before George Lucas or Orsson Scott Card existed.

Paizo can give us good advetures, and even better, a framework that serves as an example of what constitutes good advetures in a Sci Fan enviroment, with Fan meaning Fantasy ;)

We be Space Goblins!

I guess I should be getting a new more Starfinder era avatar, huh? *off to go find one*

There we go! That's...something all right.
