Please do not do this. I think this is a terrible idea. Overbalancing a game really, honestly, removes fun, creativity etc from the game. I LOVE having lots of options from lots of books. I do not like the idea of only picking one book to be able to pull stuff from *besides the core*
Just my two cents.
I agree, however if Paizo decides to continue the "Core only" option in PFS I would like to see them change it to a "Core +1 book" model.

It may have been completed, but I cannot say for sure. Either way, it is something that the volunteer organizing committee has no direct influence over. It has to be completed by Paizo. It is possible there is a "switch" or an approval process that Gen Con itself has to complete before the events are visible and that is the reason they are not there at this time. Anything we say about this is going to be speculation. I took a cursory view and didn't see any D&D AL either so draw your own conclusions. I did see some Shadowrun missions so its not specific to organized play communities. The D&D AL events are up. If you look by Baldman Games and not by D&D AL. Overall the GenCon search functions are terrible. Look by Paizo and 3 seminars come up, look by PFS 1 event. If I remember correctly, last year the Paizo events were up about a week after the events were listed.
Noven wrote: I just wonder how many are currently still floating around. My table recieved goblins that year. We all played together previously and had a very well balanced party and ended up with a very experienced and prepared GM.
My goblin, Uglydoll, is level 10 and still played; generally only at GenCon every year. The another goblin is also high level and I believe only played at GenCon. Two goblins were never created. And the last two members of our party have drifted away from our group, so I'm not sure if they ever made goblins or not.
While I can't give you an official ruling, I just have a thought. If you can use other classes spells through the gun, is there any reason to not change to another class? By only taking one level of wizard (spellslinger) then going full sorcerer, you can dump Int and regain access to cantrips and all opposition schools.

I play both Pathfinder and D&D 5th edition. I enjoy both but each has their strengths and weaknesses.
Sounds like D&D isn't for you, but that doesn't mean anyone else is wrong for enjoying their brand of fun.
Sexuality rarely comes up in my groups games. When it does it's usually because it was written in by Paizo (Wrath of the Righteous pops to mind), but not with player characters.

It's good that the Spindle is (probably) going. It was bad for the game.
The risk of being "taken over" is part of the game. It's a key ability for various schools of magic and classes that use them. It's also a key ability of several classic monsters.
The Ioun Stone is forcing authors to put in questionable choices in adventures to circumvent it; labelling something which is obviously a possession effect as a "curse" just to get around it, or "can't believe he's not Evil" chaotic neutral villains.
If you're worried that you'll one-shot other PCs if possessed, maybe it's a moment to reflect on the soundness of your character building style. Maybe you've put so much trust in your spindlefinder that you thought you could get away with focusing all-out on attack, instead of a more healthy balance between attack and defense?
Let me first say that I agree with part of what you have said - I think an interactive game is better than a non-interactive one from a balance perspective. So, for instance it's better if you have to roll a roll to do something to another player (or stop a player from doing something) than if you don't have to roll anything.
HOWEVER, this is why I think the current situation post-removal from the clear spindle ioun stone is worse.
1. Now people pretty much auto-fail, and don't succeed a lot of the time even if they spend resources on it if they're certain classes.
2. Having your character taken over is not fun.
3. Killing other PC characters with your character isn't fun.
4. Being killed by other PC characters isn't fun.
... This is the reason I figured that the resonant power was there in the first place. To prevent situations that would ruin the fun for players. This is also the reason I don't like confusion and don't use it in home games.
I also preferred the old format. I also hope for the return of a free electronic version for subscribers.
I also despise the packing peanuts. It's the only negative I have with my subscriptions.
Marshaling was better this year than ever before.
The interactive special was fun.
I was hoping that we would be seeing a change toward 4 hour blocks. I would be fine with 8pm to midnight for the specials.
I feel like the pregen specials have been hit or miss or the past couple years.
The pregens on Saturday night had a lot of potential, but the first part of the scenario ended up taking so much time it lacked being fun. I'm not sure if this was caused by how the scenario was written or how it was run.
I personally like the yearly Ennie's update on Friday night.
I think it is a good idea to have classes got to 15, with the class capstone abilities at level 15.

I 2nd the Humble Bundle approach. Get 5-10 games for less than $10 (you can pay less if you want fewer games also). I've played some really great games I wouldn't have given a 2nd look at otherwise, and part of the money goes to charity.
Here is a link to the current bundle: pc-android-14-bundle.
I really enjoyed The Knights of Pen and Paper.

Varian Jeggare has been drawn with an outfit that probally would fit in many countries. Sophisticated Pathfinder who is often traveling around the Inner Sea.

Armored
Stargazer
Doesn't work on my phone either.

1) Can a human druid wildshaped into an earth elemental breathe while earth gliding or do they need to hold their breath?
2) If they have to hold their breath, does natural spell feat allow them to cast spells with verbal components?
3) If casting a summon spell while earth gliding do you need line of effect to where you want your summoned critters to appear?
4) If you do need line of effect, how much of your body needs to be above ground to have line of effect?
1. Elementals do not breathe, so neither.
2. Yes, They can cast spells using verbal components with natural spell feat.
3. You do need to see where you are summoning.
4. Just enough to see the area where they are summoning to.
I have a similiar character in PFS, Wayang Summoner x /Paladin 1. My goal was to make a PFS legal dragon rider with a lance. I remember having to make a small character and happened to have a wayang boon. I took a level of paladin with the oath of loyalty oathbound archtype.
You can slow track Eyes of the Ten.

Although all other rules apply, so it doesn't seem worth it. Because you would not hit level 13 during EotT if you were slow track.

I clicked on the Su to see a bigger image. That was a mistake. I CAN NEVER UNSEE THAT. Seriously horrifying. Kudos to Brynn for one of the scariest illustrations I've ever seen.
RAW as written indicate that these gloves do not need a standard action to be activated. Calth has the appropriate citations to support this.
The way I see it D&D and after 2nd edition was more about selling core book and expansion books, then repeating for each edition. The Pathfinder model seems to be more about adding content. This was the reason my group switched to Pathfinder from D&D. Changing from 3.0 to 3.5 started it but 4.0 pushed us over the edge. Paizo does not seem like a company that would do that to their customers. We are heavily invested in Pathfinder and PFS now, but if Pathfinder 2.0 came along then it would be time to re-evaluate again.

The only problem that I foresee is if there is summoning going on on both sides of a battle, and both PCs and hostile NPCs summon the same creatures. Maybe a well-prepared table needs to have two of these. :) Having two copies will not solve the real problem. How will you keep track of which summons are from the PC and which from the NPC? I use these. Although sometimes I need to put a little glue to help hold them to the pawn bases (might have been a bad batch though).

I don't think that kineticists should have full BAB. Feel the burn currently can make up the difference to blasts and add extra damage as well. I do think that feel the burn should also make the blast count as an equivalent +1 to the blast thus counting as the corresponding type of weapon.

This weekend at Gamehole Con in Madison WI. I had the chance to play the first three levels of the Emerald Spire with a new kineticist (aether).
My Build:
Halfling Telekineticist, Str 8, Dex 18, Con 16, Int 12, Wis 12, Cha 9
1st level feat: point blank shot, 1st level wild talent: extend range
2nd level wild talent: kinetic blade
3rd level feat: precise shot
Level 1 / Emerald Spire 1
This level was painful to play. The adventure by its nature made my character mechanically disadvantaged. When I was able to use my blast I felt like I was always missing (hit 26%, 5/19), due to cover and using my blast into combat. I never used my wild talent.
Level 2/ Emerald Spire 2
I felt that my character considerably improved during this level, I was hitting quite a bit more (hit 50%, 5/10). I used 3 burn to get my force ward to 5 temp hps and it prevented a 5 hp attack. I never used either wild talent.
Level 3/ Emerald Spire 3
I felt great going into this level having finally gotten precise shot and an increase in blast damage. I used burn to get my force ward to 5 hps again and also gain the benefits of feel the burn. Force ward again prevented an attack and also prevented an additional effect the would have occurred from that attack. I hit 55% of the time (6/11) although due to a color spray I sat out most of one battle. Again I never used either wild talent.
Thoughts:
This class needs 4+ skills. Because the combat for a kineticist is so straight forward, I really wanted to be able to do more out of combat.
I also felt the telekinetisist should get disable device instead of knowledge (engineering) as a class skill or telekinetic finesse should make disable device a class skill.
I really wanted to be able to throw things from different directions around the room. The current description of telekinetic blast states an unattended object "nearby". I felt this meant within 5' but that was only my interpretation.
Thus, I feel there should be an aether wild talent that allows a telekineticist to use an unattended object from close range (25+5/2 levels) or else this should be a regular part of the telekinetic blast. This was also something brought up by different players at my tables.
I felt the AC was good for this class.
I think the burn mechanic is good at these levels.
The force ward ability was good when burn was used to increase it. But I think it would be better if each point of burn increased the force ward by the kineticist level instead of by 1/2 the kineticist level.

Hate to break it to you, but statistically police officer is not one of the 10 deadliest professions.
1. Loggers

3. Aircraft Pilot and Flight Engineers
4. Roofers
5. Structural steel workers
6. Garbageman

8. Driver (truck and sales)

10. Construction worker
Police officers used to be in the list, back in the mid-00's, but have fallen off. I have worked several of the above jobs and while dangerous, it was never due to the intent of others. I just think this is an important distinction to make when comparing the danger of a given profession.
"Persons working in law enforcement and security occupations in government (140.3 per 1,000) and private-sector organizations (102.5 per 1,000) had the highest annual average rates of violent victimization occurring in the workplace from 2002 to 2011."

Wayang are also small and don't have a penalty to strength. They have darkvision and bonuses to int and dex (-2 to wis).

Scenario 1:
Player makes a perception check with a trap 30feet away. He fails to detect the trap due to distance penalty. He then moves 30feet and triggers the trap.
Player with Trap Spotter moves 30 feet at which point the GM rolls his perception check with no distance penalty. He notices the trap.
Scenario 2:
Player is in combat when he trips a trap. He was not looking for them.
Meanwhile, Mr. Trap Spotter, also in combat, detected the trap and avoided it.
Regarding your 'size of room' question: yes, they take the same time (one action). However, you are only checking what you can see and there are still the distance penalties.
Regarding the sift cantrip, you can detect things you cannot see that are in that 10' cube. Perhaps the trap is underneath a rug.
The key here is that while you can use sight to detect traps from a distance sight has limitations. Not all traps are visible.
If someone with trap spotter is looking for traps at range (with associated penalties) do they get another check (by DM) once within range of trap spotter?
I know this is an old thread, but now WotR has finished and I still haven't heard anything about it being sanctioned for campaign mode. Did I miss anything somewhere, or is this an AP that just won't have any associated PFS chronicles?
Goblin - Uglydoll the Inedible: Ranger w/ cheetah animal companion (mount)
Wayang - Mina Demonfoe: Paladin (Oathbound) / Summoner
The others I've given away.

Instead of a regional specific scenarios which seem to have a series of serious issues to overcome, how about a multi-part special boon that would be completed by traveling to different areas. It could start out small (say five local games which must be at different locations and posted as public through the PFS website) and would expand from there (perhaps with a completion after traveling to a different country). Another option would be to have each step be a convention that could then be signed off when you play a scenario there.
This is just my 2 cents for a way to encourage travel without Paizo making a huge investment into developing multiple scenarios (instead just the cost of developing a boon). It would also encourage people to travel to other locations locally without feeling required to travel long distances (ie small reward for short distances, bigger reward for longer distances).
OR...
Instead of full scenarios what about regional quests. Not quite so potentially game breaking and there are still far too few PFS quests.

My group has recently started a party of all dwarves with a common back ground. I could use some help finding PFS legal modules and scenarios which have a focus on dwarves to keep with the theme and their goals.
I currently have:
Glories of ages past 1-3
Where mammoths dare to tread
but I am having trouble finding other scenarios that might fit. Is anyone aware of any other scenarios which have that type of focus?

My thought is that you can use it to make special material, alchemical, or blunt arrows. However you would have to decide which type of arrow you would have it create upon adding the enchantment. So you could have adamantine arrows but would not be able to change the type of arrow again. Also I would rule that it can not be used to make an arrow with a blanch on it (this would really only affect ghost salt I think as all other blanches have solid arrow equivalents), but would prevent someone from having multiple special materials. The wielder could still nock other types of arrows.
Alchemical arrows would be allowed as the enchantment only states "non-magical" and not "non-magical, non-alchemical".
I'm not sure where else to report this but Valeros is being used on the IGN Neverwinter guide for humans.
http://www.ign.com/wikis/neverwinter/Humans
Ready attack actions for allies to move to flank.
A high UMD opens a lot of options.
Move to make full attacks while invis then use the vanish trick to turn invis after your full attack, rinse and repeat.
The way other people have stated that if you and your mount both have escape route neither of you provoke attacks of opportunity related to movement
So I have a Wayang Race Boon for Pathfinder Society and I've been wanting to make a summoner. Because Wayang are small but do not have a str penalty I thought a lance wielding wayang mounted on an eidolon would be an interesting idea.
These are the ideas I've had so far:
A 1 level dip in paladin (oathbound: loyalty)
- this would give me lance proficiency and medium armor prof (for casting in mithril medium armor later on), 1/day oath to give my eidolon my cha bonus to saves and AC for 1 min, and the ability to use some divine wands
For my eidolon I would work towards a dragon type eidolon, starting with pounce, claws, mount.
1st level feat would be escape route (teamwork)
Essentially I'm looking for feedback and additional ideas, thanks.

Precise shot negates the -4 for being in melee (I've always taken this to mean eliminating the chance of shooting your ally).
Improved precise shot negates the -4 from cover.
Re-reading this thread, flyby attack is not allowed because feats are not allowed from the bestiary for Pathfinder Society play (as Dragnmoon originally pointed out). However, if you take ride-by attack and your eidolon takes spring attack (which requires dodge and mobility) you would be able to do it. To me it seems like a lot of feats to give your eidolon a single attack during your ride-by.
