![]() I'm looking at Druid in the new players handbook and I noticed Untamed(Wild) Order suffer from the same lack of focus points causing them to jump thru hoops with there feats so they can achieve there max focus point pool. So I was wondering what are the ways of getting more then that 1 focus point? ( on a side note one would think that would have been addressed when they did the 2e remastered book? it's kinda stupid that every other class that has there own focus spells has a way easier time of hitting there max focus point pool.) ![]()
![]() So after my group finishes Blood Lords were going to do Kingmaker and I'm going to make an Aldori Duelist we use free archetype and I'm going to take the Sword Scion background. My question is more on the lore side of the Aldori Duelist I've read all I can find and was wondering about this descriptor for the Duelist they are obsessed with personal standing and honor. I was wondering how much should I play into the honor part should I play them like a Champion a LG or CG one?, or is it more that they wont cheat in a duel or are they more the mentality of a Mandalorian? not necessarily the might makes right aspect of conquering the weak, but the Honor thru combat and the strive to make oneself the best they can be. ![]()
![]() Hi my group is going to be starting Horizons of the Vast and I have to make a character by the 10th, From the synopsis the play is going to be like kingmaker or quest for the frozen flame. So far there is no set characters from my group, I'm thinking of either doing a crafter character or one that will make the hexploration easier (I'm assuming there's going to be some) maybe a Experimental Vehicle Mechanic? Are GM has said we all get a free level 3 item so I could just start with an Exploration Buggy and have a mod on it if there is any level 2 and under ones, or could go the route of crafter and go mystic with the shaper connection? As you can see I'm not really set on anything and some advice to point me in a direction would be very helpful. ![]()
![]() So my group is going to be getting into Starfinder, we just gotta finish up the Quest for the Frozen Flame, then were probably gonna do Fist of the Ruby Phoenix. The Fly Free or Die I was thinking of leaning in to the working class stiff for my character do the Prole theme with the miner profession with Soldier as class don't know what Race yet but I'd like to use either the Excavation drill 2 handed advance melee weapon or the Molecular borer 2 handed heavy weapon ( you know lean into the miner job) I could go power armor with him and do DEX to start and wield the Molecular borer and get a power armor that gives me STR and use the Drill from that? Is leaning into the whole miner thing to much? I know were months away from playing and I've no clue what the other 3 players are thinking for characters but any suggestions would be helpful. I'm not stuck on doing the one role (the Jane in this FireFly crew :-)), any role in space and ground is cool. ![]()
![]() My group is finally at the last fight for Strength of thousands and were Doing QFTFF next were doing dual class plus free archetype and with out to many spoilers was wondering what you think of a few of my ideas 1: orc/half orc Fighter/Ranger using fighter feats for archery stuff like point blank shot and the double shot and triple shot feat chains and using ranger for like animal companion, I'd do a Comp. longbow and have some in STR but most in DEX. 2nd: is a Ranger/Rogue outwit hunt prey with mastermind rogue for getting sneaks with recall knowledges probably elf(Ilverani). 3rd: is another Rogue/some spell caster doing Eldritch Trickster and sniping with sneak attach cantrips, thing is I don't know how often that will happen, I know I dont have to do a caster for the 2nd class but I was thinking that which ever I go I might be able to get some means of getting the enemy FF'ed so I can get my Sneak Attack. As you can see I'm thinking a Ranged character I could do a melee/ranged mix by going a thrown weapon user something like a Fighter/Rogue that fights with the Combat Grapnel, or daggers, starknifes, hatchets. The point is something mainly ranged and I'd like to steer away from an occult caster my Strength of thousands character is a Bard, but that not a deal breaker tho. ![]()
![]() So my group is going to be playing in our homebrew campaign world after we finish Strength of Thousands. Our GM who normally places a character for a group of 4 has decided to not make a character and has opened up dual class & free archetype (guess he wants us felling like demi gods or something). He hasn't really given us any restrictions on what we can make and I've come up with quite a few possible build combo's 2 of which were because my brother was rewatching the marvel movies so I made a Hulk (Giant instinct Barbarian/Fighter w/ the Weapon Improviser Archetype. and a Cap America, (Paladin or maybe Redeemer champion/ Fighter no cluse for an Archetype)

![]() Additionally, you are not destroyed when reduced to 0 Hit Points. Instead, your life energy attempts to keep you active even in dire straits; you are knocked out and begin dying when reduced to 0 Hit Points. Does this mean you roll dying checks like everyone else and when you hit dying 4 your dead? and need to have a Raise Dead or Resurrect Ritual? or are Automaton more like D&D Warforged were they just go inert and stay that way tell someone repairs them? ![]()
![]() Hi I'm thinking of doing a rogue character for my back up if my main for strength of a thousand dies, Were using the free archetype rule and I was thinking may be Rogue with the Eldritch Trickster racket (my DM has stated that I can use my free archetype for the spell casting dedication I'll choose) which probably be Wizard, I know the racket say's You gain that archetype's dedication feat as a bonus feat even though you don't meet its level prerequisite, though you must meet its other prerequisites. But I want to use the free Archetype for it so I don't have to use my Rogue feats to purchase any feats for Wizard. The only thing I assumed that the Eldritch Trickster was like 1e's Arcane Trickster with there Ranged legerdemain, with 2e is there anyway to get that ability or something like it? I know the Mage Hand cantrip doesn't give you the fine motor skills to open locks or disable traps. Is there a skill or class feat I'm not seeing that could do this? Or would it just be better to be a different Racket and just take the Wizard Dedication with the free Archetype? I'm just trying to make the character awesome with the Thievery so any suggestions on Ancestries and there racial feats that would help in that regards would be welcomed, would be nice if they were a small Ancestry don't know why I think a small race is in my head for this character. oh and my main character is level 6 right now so any suggestions for a 6th level build. And Thank You. ![]()
![]() A shield with the throwing Adjustment from the Knights of Lastwall book wouldn't be able to get +1 striking on it because you can't put a boss or spike on it? So if I wanted to do a shield fighter would I need to have a shield on each arm one for my normal attacks with a boss or spike and another for throwing, or is there a better solution that I'm not seeing? ![]()
![]() My group is starting a new campaign and we just got Guns and Gears and was wondering what people thing about Gunslinger's I was thinking of making a Human(Versatile Heritage) Gunslinger Way of the Pistolero and cause we play with the Free Archetype variant rule was thinking of throwing Pistol Phenom Archetype in there. I dont see him as the Billy the kid type with a fancy dual gun thing just the one pistol fight style. was wondering what works and what doesn't I know some of the gunslinger class feats can be gotten thru the Pistol Phenom like the Pistol Twirl gunslinger feat. Any advice would be wonderful and I thank all the knowledgeable and friendly Pathfinder Sages that post the wisdom here to teach. Thank You!! ![]()
![]() I was wondering if there was any plan to bring back the Pathfinders Tales Novels? I really would like to read new adventures of some of my favorite characters Varian Jeggare and his man with the Big Smile Radovan Virholt, or Captain Mirian Raas and Jekka her lizardfolk friend, and Good ol Hrym & Roddrick and Torius Vin, and the crew of the Stargazer. I liked all of the pathfinder tales novels ans would be nice to see some new ones out there. I know all the novels for the D&D stuff have all stopped as well except R.A. Salvatore has kept writing his Drizzt's Do'Urden books, if anyone knows if any of the authors of the pathfinder's tales novels kept right could you list there titles here if any? ![]()
![]() So I was reading the Dwarf ancestry feats and the Explosive Savant feat which gives Dwarves trained in simple and martial bombs and firearms. My question is I didn't any listed simple and martial bombs the normal bomb prof. is Alchemical Bomb which is martial so are they planning on adding simple bombs in later books? Because then wouldn't the sentence read simple and martial firearms and martial bombs then? ![]()
![]() I've been playing Final Fantasy 14 again with the drop of Endwalker and was thinking how would you go about making a Gunbreaker or more specific the Gunblade? I know you could do a Maze core weapon, or just a small arm with a bayonet bracket, but I'm looking for something that don't require a swift action to switch back and forth and that won't give a penalty to attack? Would it be just a Mechanic experimental weapon?

![]() Hello my fellow Mechanics I'm in the process of finalizing the blueprints form my Drone before I start the fabrication I would like to hear any idea on drone builds. What I'm looking for is suggestions on mods, feats, and mechanic tricks. I was leaning towards either a Hover Drone or Artillery Drone for chassis, with the hover drone I was thinking of adding a weapon mount and get profeciney with long arms and with the Artillery Drone I've really no clue. I'm trying to figure out how to build the drone to be my mechanics main source of damage well in combat,I figure one mod to get would be the camera mod so I can be behind total cover well I master control it. Any suggestion would be of big help my mechanic will be at least level 4 and I've not thought of a race yet. ![]()
![]() I'm going to be starting Agents of Edgewatch soon and I've decided to do a Monk, my GM is allowing us the free Archetype all player resources plus age of ashes player resources and edgewatch (I don't know if my GM will buy Extinction Curse from fantasy grounds just for the player stuff in it). My thought on play style was a combat maneuver monk but I'm stuck on how to go about making my non magical controller there's the obvious I could either go Gorilla Stance and eventually Clinging Shadows Initiate for the grapple or go the Wolf stance and Wolf drag feat combo, I also had the idea of going Mountain stance and going the Mauler archetype and fighting with a Bo staff but I don't know if I can use the Bo staff with with all my other monk stuffs if I don't take the Monastic Weaponry feat which I could do and still go Mauler. As you can see I don't no were to start if someone has a combat maneuver build or thoughts or advice on one please help. ![]()
![]() If I went Monk with the Mauler Archetype and fought with a Bo Staff but went Mountain Stance could I use the Bo staff to do all those good monk stuff with it like flurry of blows and stunning fist sense the Bo staff has the Monk trait or would I need to take the Monastic Weaponry feat to do that stuff with it? And if your going to point out the Staff Acrobat Archetype I'm aware of it but the group I'm in play on fantasy grounds and our GM has chosen to do Agents of Edgewatch and has skipped the Extinction Curse so he hasn't bought it and I don't know if he will just so I could do the Staff Acrobat. ![]()
![]() I just finished pathfinder 2e's Age of Ashes now were getting into dawn of flame, and so far we gut a mystic thats building himself like a Jedi I think hes taking Solar Connection Epiphanies, and my other brother is looking at biohacker or envoy, and are 3rd I have no clue. My idea's are a Gravity Dweller human or half Orc Soldier and build a Gears or War like soldier. Another idea is a Mechanic I don't know race or what he'll do with his AI I thought a Pahtra Exocortex mechanic ala mando bounty hunter type build or trying something with the prototype's if I can find some interesting and fun builds maybe doing proto armor that gets to be powered armor and doing a Warmachine like guy with mybe the Powered Armor Jockey archetype, of course In Dead Suns I had wanted to do a Solarian my brother made one 1st so I made a han solo envoy which was a blast. Solarian would again be a choice as well just be cause the mystic is going the Solar Connection Epiphanies doesn't mean I couldn't do o still. What are some of the communities thoughts on my ideas or if you have better suggestions fell free to post them. ![]()
![]() The official ruling I'm looking for is for the Mechanics 17th level control net ability and being able to add there prototypes in it like doing 17 mechanic that does 10 proto weapon, 7 exocortex or going 10 proto armor, 7 proto weapon.

![]() I was bored the other day and had watched the Warcraft movie and it got me to thinking how would I build Thrall (the shaman version). With the books now I was thinking half orc Storm order druid who spends a feat to get warhammer proficiency or you could go cleric Warpriest and get martial weapons at 3rd. Now I could wait tell advanced players guide is out and do a Orc Oracle? ![]()
![]() I'm starting up pathfinder 2e soon so I'm starting a thread I can go to and ask questions of the community every once in awhile, I hope some of my questions I may post aren't already been asked and answered prior. So to my 1st question going to be starting Age of Ashes as my group 1st foray into 2e and I was thinking of making a sword and board type I was thinking that fighter or champion is probably the way to go unless there's other classes that can do just as well? Any suggestions and classes, which feats to take, and Ancestries they my make the sword and board style better. I've seen the Everstand feat they are interesting I just don't know if My DM will allow stuff form the Character Guide. ![]()
![]() I don't know if I post this here or not I'm finishing up my latest book and was thinking of read something in the fantasy sci-fi genre usually I'm pure Fantasy, forgotten realms, dragonlnace, eberron, the pathfinder novels. I love Star Wars, Star Trek, the 2000 and 2003 Sci Fi Channel's Dune and Children of Dune miniseries, yet I've not crossed over into fantasy sci-fi in my reading so I'm asking the community for suggestions should I don't know if I'd want to read any of the Star Wars novels I love all the movies to date and dont want to go into future movies going well in this book and so on, maybe something that has the feeling of Starfinder if something like that is out there. Thanks in advance If you post any books and author suggestions ![]()
![]() So a little back info I'm playing in a group that is playing Against The Aeon Throne Adventure path and In the 1st book i had a human Mystic (crusader connection)w/ Star Knight archetype, did him melee fighter sense the crusader connection gives adv. melee weapon prof. he died at the crashed ship on the colony planet. On the 2nd book I was playing an Apostae born half orc Solarian did Solar Weapon build with heavy armor prof. he was killed during the prison break in the 2nd adventure path we had just got Cedona and the 3 other prisoner that the npc on outpost zed wanted us to rescue for the info and help we got from them, that's when the s!@# hit the fan and we couldn't keep bluffing are way thru and causing some disorder by having the signal scrambler you can get from the 1st book block out the comm signals for 4 miles (except ours), then a long string of rolling nothing above 10 for attack rolls had my Half orc killed. the 3 other players have managed to survive with all 4 escaped prisoners and have made it to our ship. Now I'm stuck with having to make a 3rd character for book 3 and I'd like some suggestions, I've played in the past a human envoy, a SRO operative, then the 2 from ATAT the human mystic, and 1/2 orc Solarian so my only don't's are no classes i played and no humans, and probably a ranged combat focused.

![]() Has anyone tried the Aesthetic Warrior alternate feature? If so how do you find it, what fighting styles, feats and gear boosts did you find useful, and if you haven't use this feature yet what would you suggest for them. I was thinking for gear boosts Finesse Striker (if you wanted to go DEX), Melee Striker(I'd assume this would be a most), Unarmed Mauler(it seems you may want to take this a couple of times). Fighting styles could really depend on the theme of you soldier so anyone might be optional, Feats would be the same thing improved combat Maneuver's stand out (trip and such), Pull the Pin (seems like it would be fun). Any hope the community posts there thoughts and or builds. ![]()
![]() As the Title explains, and need help filling out these builds I've been looking at 3, Idea the 1st: just watched The Mandalorian was thinking Human Soldier not sure on the fighting style( could go sharpshooter, and the rests are maybe's, Ambusher, Battlemaster, Hunter), I don't know what weapons I'd be fighting with beside a Flame Pistol mazecore with a grappler. I'd take the feats: Grappler Pull, and Sky Jockey, I've now clue what other feats because I havent figured out how I want him to fight. Idea the 2nd is straight froward a Mystic (not sure the race) Crusader connection
Idea the 3rd is actually 2 builds a Mechanic using the alternate class feature the Experimental Prototype: Armor or Weapon. I've no clue the race I'd go for armor they get powered armor prof for free and can make there own powered armor for free so you can do Ironman or War Machine, was thinking of taking the Archetype Powered Armor Jockey. And If i went the weapon route Rocket Raccoon pops into my head or if you have seen Independence Day: Resurgence (2016) Brent Spiners's character Dr.Dr. Brakish Okun with his Okun Laser. We usually don't have to worry about dumb stats my GM allows us to roll several times for a set we like that he approves (so no rolling tell you get 18's across the board), and my DM gives us a free feat at 1st level we call them heroic feats was a homebrew rule we've used way back when we did 2nd edition D&D.

![]() -The theme is the Tinker form: Starfinder #15: Sun Divers pg. 45 the ability is there 6th level Durable Crafting which does,

![]() I'm making a level 3 Halfling Operative Thief named Sorn his ability scores are 12/17/12/14/16/16 (are GM allows us to roll for stats the 4d6 minus the lowest method) i got lucky with the number i think) His theme is outlaw at 1st level i took Improved Initiative, and im thinking about doing weapon focus(smallarms) at 3rd I figured there was no point in taking a prof for any other weapons. His back story is he was born and raised on a halfling Caravan Ship The Zuzaristan his PROFESSION skill is Quartermaster his family were all quartermaster of The Zuzaristan he's decided that theres time still before hes gotta take over for his father so he would like to see the galaxy for awhile.

![]() My question is about the Envoy's level 8 Envoy Improvisations Sustained Determination. the ability says:
So you can see I'm a little scatter brained about this Improvisation, any clarification to Sustained Determination would be a big help. :-) I'm playing an Envoy for my 1st time playing starfinder like the class so I'm doing a map of possible improvisations that i may want to take. ![]()
![]() This question is not about the AP per se. Let me give some info first. I and my Starfinder group just finished and 2nd session, (our group did the roll for ability score so some of my stats my be higher then the norm) In the group we have a Human envoy thats me with a 13 STR, 16 DEX, 13 CON, 14 INT,15 WIS,18 CHA
Oh and sorry for the long post if your reading this and also Thank You if you reply your an AWESOME!! peep :-) ![]()
![]() I'm playing in a group thats been adapting the older adventure paths to play them in d&d five edition and right now were doing rise of the runelords anniversary addition and my current charater has had ew close death calls and has had me thinking of possible character build with the sword coast book wtoc introduced bladesingers and has it restricted to elf and 1/2 elf but has it left open to the GM to do away with race. So my thought was a dwarf axesinger(bladesinger), in the pathfinder tales novel Forge of Ash stars a kick butt dwarven warrior with her axe/maul, and her Oread Monk friend run into her childhood friend who now is an arcane caster, thats were i got my idea for the dwarven axesinger. I was just wondering if the thought would be to outlandish for golarions dwarfs? I get free weapon porf. to take war hammer or battleaxe with they get to wear light armor. Was just wondering if its to out there dwarf wizards being rare and can only think of the one from Forge and Ashes. So thought and comments would help a ton. My GM is always open to let the player have free reign to an extant so if i wanna say he was taught by a young elf he saved the life of or some such junk he would be fine. Just wondering the communinities thoughts. |
