Bids start at $400,000 -- Will Lisa add it to her collection? Quote:
The auction page shows 32 days left to bid. That would be October 14,2023.
I was attempting to change the quantity of Beginner Box dice sets that I had in my cart. I put my cursor in the quantities box, changed the 1 to a 5, and hit enter. That cleared all the items from my cart, and did not put them in the Saved Items page. If I scroll to the bottom of the cart, and use the "change quantities" button, the cart does not empty. My problem is that I had a long list of items in my cart, and I could not see the "change quantities" button on the page. So I just "entered" the changed quantity, and erased the whole page. I'm able to replicate this. (Windows 11, Firefox, both up to date)
Pathfinder 2 is being "remastered" to remove material licensed under the OGL.
They will all still be playable, and the Beginner Box is still completely compatible with the remastered rules. In fact, I expect that, with the exception of a few nostalgic creatures on this list, most of the BB ruleset is already free of OGL material. It would be helpful to me if Paizo did a better job of cross-marketing Paizo products in the webstore. For example, it is only in the past couple years that the product blurbs for quests, scenarios, and adventures have started including links to the maps used in that story. When I was trying to pick up all the PF2 Kingmaker products, there was no product listing that provided a link to the pawns, the companion guide, the item cards, the management screen, etc. The same holds true for setting books and rule books. There is, for example, a box of spell cards (Secrets Of Magic Spell Cards) that is no where mentioned on the product page for the hardcover (Secrets Of Magic Rulebook) The newly-announced Rage of Elements Spell Cards are invisible if you only visit the rulebook page It seems like a simple way to promote related products, but obviously is not the norm. I don't know what purpose such modesty serves, but it seems like time to re-evaluate that rule. [I'm especially hoping that map pages get cross-linked to the products they are used in.]
For everyone bemoaning the archaic infrastructure of the Paizo website: San Francisco Subway Runs On Floppies Our train control system in the Market Street subway is loaded off of five-and-a-quarter inch floppy drives,” SFMTA director Jeffrey Tumlin told KQED’s Priya David Clemens this week. Not even the 3.5 version, but the even more floppy 5.25 type.
I've started a thread in the PF2 General Discussion forum to collect information about playing PF2 with kids. Please add your ideas there
Because there is no forum that is particularly relevant to questions about playing with kids, I thought I'd create an onging thread to collect advice. The Beginner Box forum has some relevant advice threads for getting started with the Beginner Box adventure "Menace Under Otari". It also has threads about the stand alone adventure "Troubles In Otari". There are also scattered threads, like this one in the Online Play "Scenario Recommendations For Library Program, looking for advice about players age 10 and up. With new GMs and players rapidly joining this community, it might be useful to collect advice about how to get started with PF2 if your players are kids. Obviously, 'kids' could be a wide range of ages, and their experience and background with ttRPGs is going to be just as wide. When you make suggestions, please indicate what audience your advice is addressed to: experienced adult GMs; inexperienced adult GMs; experienced players; inexperienced players, and whether the advice is for home games or games in monitored public settings like schools and libraries. If theres a good thread in some other forum, please link it here for reference. The most common advice is to start with the Beginner Box (Menace Under Otari); move on to the "Troubles In Otari" adventure, and finally begin the "Abomination Vaults" Adventure Path which may not always be appropriate for younger players. There are also sugestions for PFS scenarios that are ways to introduce Pathfinder Society. And there used to be a "Kids Track" in PFS, but it seems to have been abandoned. Any suggestions from that era would also be appreciated.
The stand-alone adventure Troubles In Otari, provides the advancement information necessary to take characters created using the Beginner Box rules from Level 3 to Level 4. While not part of the Beginner Box material, pages 56-59 are formatted identically to the advancement pages in the Hero's Handbook, and allow a final, fourth level of play before a player needs to switch to a standard character sheet, and the full rules in the Core Rulebook. The entire adventure can be played using only the BB Hero's Handbook and the Game Master's Guide.
I've been working with a group of new players who are struggling with the BB rules, but are still interested in playing more stories set in Golarion. I'd like to play some extremely short adventures (scenarios, bounties, quests) that will help them become familiar with the Pathfinder Society (but not necessarily organized play). They like the idea of PFS being like an Edwardian Explorer's Club, but not so much as militaristic endeavor. So groups of competitors yes, but not necessarily enduring evil organizations as opponents. Which published material would help them engage with the Society in-world, on these terms? I'm hoping for material for Level 1-4 characters. I have the LO: Pathfinder Society Guide, but that's way over their heads in terms of useability. I'm willing* to go back to PF1 and re-stat the traps/monsters/puzzles if there's something useful in the earlier publications. Thanks for any suggestions! *but obviously would prefer not to
They've figured out how to keep their posts visible!! https://paizo.com/threads/rzs43o7e?Hello-I-need-a-casino-with-bonuses Person one posts the original post, with a provocative headline.
Person two replies to the OP with the spam message
If staff only remove the OP, then both the headline and the spam post itself remain visible. Staff have repeatedly asked forum members not to reply to spam posts because it is more difficult to remove replies and (apparently) can't easily be done by lower level IT folks.

Does this mean that the Customer Service phone is operational again? Also, I see no mention of the grandfathered Paizo Advantage. Is this no longer in effect?

How will Paizo be supporting this industry effort?
I'm seeing a new layout for the black header at the top of the page. In that version, there are no words, just a white hamburger in the upper right corner. To get to my messages, I not only have to click the hamburger icon, but I have to then click "My Account". Apparently we will no longer be able to see if we have new messages without drilling down two layers of menus. And even if it's retained as a red dot on the "My Account" icon, that's still hidden, and I'd have to continually click the hamburger to find out if I had new messages. Since I assume this is a test (I'm seeing the old menu when I log in on a different computer) let me be the first to request that you put some kind of indicator beacon that gives a notification about new messages on all pages, not just buried under the hamburger menu ETA after testing:
Not good. |
