It seems that with assurance, Zelphari can pretty much just shove all the tanuki out with enough time, but that kind of trivialises the encounter. And it is quite fun anyway, so don't mind I won't do that?

Despite himself, Zelphari starts grinning as the combat continues. Much as the tanuki have been irritating, he finally acknowledges that it is out mischief (although not entirely harmless). Seeing the battle clearly in the party's favour, he also loathes to end it too quickly.

Turning to face the as yet unharmed Kagebashi, he calls out, "Tell your friend when he wakes that no I did not find it hilarious!" He makes no attempt at being intimidating, however, as he grins ear-to-ear. He pushes out his free hand and yells, "Kamehameha!" A glowing club burst forth from his hand to slam into the tanuki, before dissipating into the thin air!

Zelphari would like to have cast False Vitality to refresh his temp HP, i.e. 10 thp.

Although wielding his bastard sword, Zelphari had kept one hand free. The reason becomes quickly evident, as he steps forward and attempts to shove Suzu out of the arena!

He follows up almost immediately with the same tactic, although with some surer footing this time.

Just to clarify, are we only allowed to do nonlethal attacks (i.e. ruling out pretty much all spells)? Or that any damage we do becomes nonlethal?

With the battle clearly in the favour, Zelphari briefly turns inward, methodically unlocking the holds he has placed on his psychic power. In a blink of an eye, bright colours and strange imageries burst forth in randomness in the space around him. With glowing eyes, he stares at the mantis and a giant silver scythe appears in the air and slices at the topiary.

After striking down the topiary, Zelphari shakes off the loose leaves and makes his way as fast as he can towards the other two walking shrubs.

The middle-aged human man is of average height, his skin a tanned deep olive colour. He is quite well-built, but he looks rather ... weathered. He bears faint scars, as if he's seen some fighting in his younger days, but otherwise he carries a gentle smile. He is well-armored in a worn splint mail, but is bearing the effects of the humidity rather stoically. Other than the sheathed bastard sword, the only other thing of note is a pendant carved into the shape of Irori's open palm hanging round his neck.

"Greetings. My name is Zelphari, of Irori." He introduces himself in his deep warm voice.

He politely receives a candy from Mrs Crinkle and pops it into his mouth (after clearing off the fuzz). "My thanks, Mrs Crinkle. Refreshing in this weather."
