Merisiel, First of all did I spell your name right...looks wrong to me? Secondly you mentioned a time between friends up thread does that mean you've had previous adventuring parties before you joined up with the Iconics? If so were they different then your present group of companions? How did you start adventuring with your current group? Was there any sort of application process?
Yark downs the last of his ale in a big gulp and does the same with his stew. I'm probably going to regret that later he thinks to himself as he follows Blim. After scar hands him the stack he will put it in his backpack that he had slung over his shoulder. "So what is everyone doing for the night?"
"I vote for bold and richer...being safe gets you killed most of the time." Yark says.
Yark tastes the ale and then sighs to himself. First the woman and now they water down the ale...must resist the urge to rip this place apart... he takes a few deep breaths and then laughs a little as Blim orders his cider. "What you're to afraid to have a real drink. You should try the ale its nice and watered down so I'm sure you'd be able to handle it." Seeing the food that was brought to Vex he looks to the bartender "I'll also have a plate of that."
"I'll have the strongest ale you've got" he says and then eyes the bartender up and down, seemingly unimpressed by his size.
Yark will remain silent as the others are talking to the older man. He follows Blim to the bar and orders himself the strongest drink they have.
I wouldn't have minded the dual but wasn't sure how Almagafor felt about PvP. That and with an AC of 20 you would have been a hard bugger to hit as I would need a 16 or better. .
Yark's face brightens and he gives a hardy laugh "While I am not one to stand down from a challenge I believe it wouldn't be wise to injure someone I will be working beside. he then claps Blim on the back and thinks for a moment. "...I didn't offend you did I? I didn't mean to...social graces are something of a mystery to me yet...though my recent training has started to...imprint them on me."
lol well you did ask...hope the image didn't stick in your head to long. I think I'm going to really enjoy this character. The idea of a character duel wielding a great axe and a great sword has me really really intrigued...
A few minutes later you see the large Orc come back down the stairs. This time he is much more appropriately dressed. He's wearing a set of hide armor that barely stretches over his large pectoral and bicept muscles and in one hand he holds a greataxe and in the other hand he holds a greatsword. He makes his way down the stairs, careful not to get his large weapons stuck in the wall or floor. He then overhears the rest of the group making introductions. He turns to Blim and hands him his great sword "Here hold this short stuff" he says and then extends a rather large hand to the old man. "Yes I'm one of the men the mayor hired as well. The name's Yark and I'd like to appologize for my...gruffness earlier. I have a bit of a temper but I'm trying to get it under control some." He then turns to the others and looks them over. "looks like we will be working together." he says and then he takes his greatsword back and with one hand rests it on his shoulder. "So how about we get something to drink and get to know one another?"
Ever try to shove a log into a mouse hole...it doesn't work lol.
Yark's eyes flash with a brief moment of anger and then something strange for an Orc happens, he actually shows restraint. He takes the silver coins "Thank you" he says and then turns to head back up stairs to gather his belongings. As he does so he turns to the new comer and shakes his head "A man of your...stature doesn't have the problems we Orcs have...you wouldn't understand" he says and then continues up the stairs.
Not an issue. When I get his sheet reorganized I'll have physical description, age, likes, dislikes, and a couple paragraph long background all thrown up and spoilered. Really hope my entrance wasn't a problem...if it was let me know and I'll change it.
Just as the rest of the group arrives you see a rather large and extremely muscular man come down the stairs. He is wearing nothing but a loin cloth and a rather angry look on his face. His body is littered with scars and his skin has a dark green hue to it and you can tell he isn't human. He walks up to one of the barmaids. "Miss...I would be liking to speak to management. It seems like the woman that I paid for wasn't able to...preform if you know what I mean and I will be needing a refund." He has a feeling his request isn't going to be met with anything but resistance so he shoots her a look to help get his point across that he isn't satisfied.
Well I'm good to go but don't have time to post atm...

Hey guys I'm going to have to withdraw from this game. I just can't keep up with the posts.
[ooc]Sorry I haven't posted much guys. As of Saturday I no longer have internet at my house. Unfortunately this is going to be the case for the next 6 months or so. I am going to do my best to get online every day(2x/day) and get things updated as best I can. I will do my best to catch up on the rules that have been posted during the last couple of days and I should have my post up tonight.

Yark's jaw drops as the elf walks in and he cant contain the stary eyed look that comes across his face as she talks. Once she leaves he goes up to the announcer. What would I have to do to be able to spend a night with her?
Having finished with his...relaxation in the backstage area Yark comes out and does the interview. You notice his body is covered in what you hope is sweat and there are bite marks all over his chest and neck. For my finishing move the scar on my eye lights up and I store my strength for one final devastating blow with my axe. Piss me off and I may demonstrate it for you. In my spare time I like bare knuckle fighting and wrestling. Though I'm not very good at the latter, its fun to see what interesting ways I can make my opponent bend. Yark snorts at the next question and just shakes his head. Just look at me, I have the body of a god He flexes his muscles and then laughs adding I can also cut a fetchling in half length wise, care to see that demonstrated?
Yark wanders in and plops down on a couch. He grunts at the monk, a standard greeting for him. "Anyway a man can get a foot rub and some services of those "workers" the announcer talked about earlier. I have some thinking to do since my finisher has been banned...and I think better with beautiful women around."
Yark reappears wearing a very nice breast plate and carrying a orc double axe. "There much better...now lets see if I can find someone to test this new equipment on.
Yark holds a piece of paper that says "BILL" on it and looks a little convused. Getting angry he walks over to the smith and picks him up by the collar. "HEY YOU SAID EVERYTHING COULD BE DONE FOR 12,000 NOT 12,862. He picks up the smith and throws him against the wall. "I refuse to pay your outragious prices...I'll go elsewhere." He then strips down to his loin cloth and drops all the items on the smith as he walks away.
Yark looks at Jhok and seems very unimpressed. "I know the network has been getting desperate but...adding half breeds is a new low." |
