It seems Whistle won't be able to return both scrolls to Giles. Koi is more badly hurt, and she's focus on healing them--if she could see them well enough to confidently target the spell!

Whistle Wit throws a gob of acid between the two closest thugs, which explodes and splatters them.
Whisper moves cautiously, and Whistle whispers a word of warning--a warning that's backed up as the brute feels the brush of the feathers of some menacing bird. "I wouldn't get any closer to the cat, if I were you."

It's not really about the cat, but he can't get closer to any of them, either, without violating the warning.

"She sent me over here to draw fire," he says indignantly, "You all saw it!"

Whistle Wit succeeded at her Fort save against the disease, but she should be down some HP. And Whisper only took 1 damage because of phase familiar.

With most of the party a little banged up, and their being somewhat lacking in medics, Whistle Wit casts her last prepared healing spell. "Gather round, just for a moment please."

Three-action Heal: 1d8 ⇒ 7 Well, at least my area heal rolls have been consistently good. That luck is gonna run out.

"I do still have some scrolls," she says, but she's rather hoping someone can treat Cur physically.

Still, emergency supplies are there to be used--but she is hoping she'll be able to return the ones Giles gave her.

Whisper fades partially away as the rats descend on him, before scampering back away from them.

Whistle hurls a glob of acid into the swarm, away from Giles. And then she whispers a warning. The rats feel the brush of feathers and feel a warning to stay back and not approach her.

Well, I think that makes it worthwhile to cast my other prepped heal with three actions, healing everybody healing: 1d8 ⇒ 6.

Whistle Wit will Refocus.

She can't heal both damaged characters without dipping into her scrolls. Which she can do, that's why she has them, but maybe one of our party members who's trained in medicine wants to try first? I realize we don't have anybody especially good in medicine, but it's worth a shot.

(You know you should go to bed when you type "sicked" three times in a row and don't even notice until after the third one.)

"A rat bigger then a cat," says Whisper in an offended tone, "Why the very idea."

"And a nasty, diseased thing by the looks of it. Well, two can play at that game--or three rather, if you would?"

Whistle Wit hops onto Whisper's head for a moment, casting a spell into him. She hops off as the cat hurries forward, jumping through the swarm of smaller rats to reach the big one, which he touches with a paw. "Oh dear, are you allergic to cats as well? Unfortunate." He sounds much happier about that.

Maybe it's better to stay focused on splattering the slimes. Whistle Wit sends more blasts of wind at the two creatures. She can't really try to warn them away when they're already so close, so instead she offers Cur a ward against oozes.

"Oh dear." With the ooze so close to her, Whistle Wit casts a defensive spell, creating a shield of glassy-force between them. She then heals Cur--he seems to be taking a beating.

Whistle Wit never bothered to learn a spell for creating light. At home in the library she has lamps, and as a Pathfinder agents she had her wayfinder--so she lights her wayfinder.

She flutters a little closer (because her wayfinder's light only goes so far), with Whisper hurrying to keep up. Once she can see the oozes more clearly, she lashes out at them with winds.

"Catastrophic eruption.. Underground capital destroyed by magma. Raseri Kanton was above-ground, but that was the problem--it collapsed into the open earth after the eruption. The kingdom survived but fractured into factions and went into major decline... they survived for centuries before finally collapsing, but then dwarves can live quite a long time."

Whistle Wit ignores the wailing. Whisper looks disdainfully at the ghost as only a cat can. "Enough of that, I think," Whistle says as she casts a protective ward over Giles. And then hurls a burst of acid behind the ghost, because why wouldn't she?

"Understood!" Well, sort of. Whistle Wit sends slicing winds towards the ghost and the nearest broom.

She considers adding her own hex to threaten the ghost away from moving, but she isn't sure she can actually hurt a ghost with that spell to back up the threat. Best to observe for a moment. Under a protective magical shield, obviously.

...but that looks too far away for Whistle Wit to reach in one action, so if she can't do the Lore untrained she'll just move up to it (she's Tiny, so that doesn't hinder anybody else moving up to it).
Oh, and ↺ phase familiar. Whisper gains resistance 5 to all damage against the triggering damage. Forgot about that. That helps.

"Oh!" With a quick flick of her wing, Whistle Wit pulls Whisper momentarily from his solid form. He's not so badly hurt as he might have been.

It isn't as effective as she hoped, so she also whispers a silent threat against the creature that hurt him.

Even underwater, it feels the brush of feathers as an unseen bird menaces it, threatening it to stay back lest it face attack.

Whistle Wit is... not entirely prepared for this situation.

Acid will likely just dissipate in the water, and her air-based spells may not work too well, either. Getting Whisper closer seems like slow going, even if he wasn't acting like a cat who was forced to go underwater.

But maybe she can protect some of the others, at least--what are those fish-things, anyway?

"Well sir, I daresay I'm not too equipped in the 'muscle' department, but I'll do what I can to assist, heal, and protect you."

The speaker, a bird with black and gold feathers, whistles, and a cat appears behind her. She alights briefly on the cat's head, before fluttering her wings and landing next to him; she does seem a little heavy for him to carry that way. While rather small compared to the other Pathfinders, the bird does seem unusually large for her kind, the size of a large crow.

Though if her size as going to suggest there was something unusual about her, the tiny spectacles or the messenger bag slung over her shoulder give it away faster. A wayfinder is clipped to the side of the bag.

"Whistle Wit. I used to be a librarian['s pet]. My cat's proper name is Whisker, but sometimes I call him Feathers. It's a little joke."

Whisker nods at Giles. "Ah, Mr. the Fox. I've heard of you--you recently worked with a friend of my master. This probably goes without saying just from the fact that I'm saying anything at all, but rest assured that I am not just a cat, that I am rather acutely aware of the distinction between a mouse and an awakened mouse, and that in any case I am also fairly sure you're actually more formidable then I--I have no intention of trying to harm you, so please do not stab me."

"He means 'more formidable then me.' Whisker isn't really an independent being either, though. He's my familiar, a manifestation of my magic. He's a part of me, and he's effectively immortal as long as I'm alive. He has made his displeasure at being violently dispersed known--"

"Being killed does hurt."

"--but he'll always find his way back to this mortal plane soon enough, so if he's injured you don't have to make him a priority."

"Quite rude. Perhaps I should go on strike."

"Well, not as much of a priority as for anyone else, anyway."

"Hm. Acceptable."

"Anyway! I've done a little exploration of ancient ruins, of course, but this is still a big one for me. I did do a little research, and I know that Droskar’s Crag, also known as the Pallid Peak, is a dormant volcano. It erupted nearly 800 years ago in a cataclysm known as the Rending, which toppled the great dwarven empire of Tar Khardurrm. Expeditions into the Pallid Peak have uncovered a wide range of dangers, from vermin to duergars to fiends. Expeditions should be well-stocked and prepared with deal with a variety of different threats."

Whistle Wit opens her wings and lets the mysterious gust of wind carry her along the wall.

"Winds, huh? Sounds like a plan to me!"

Whistle flaps her wings enthusiastically, which wouldn't have much of an effect without magic. Conveniently she's also a witch, and she pushes the air forward with substantial force. The wind also picks up Whisker, and carries him a little closer. At the same time, the closest of the undead creatures can feel the presence of a spiritual bird. Its feathers brush its flesh, and its call carries a warning.

She's not sure if these undead are intelligent enough to care, but fortunately the spell can back up its threat.

It's essentially a basic save, but if it crit fails instead of doubling it also takes sonic damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2 (which is slightly different) and takes a -2 status penalty to any attack or hostile skill action it attempts that turn.
◇ Whisker moves without triggering Reactions when Whistle casts a Hex because he is a Familiar of Nimble Flight.
