hp 39/43 AC 17

Well technically I didn't build him to be hard to kill. My friend did. My concept was a barbarian who seemed to be a mage and then the players get a nasty surprise when they get up close and personal. My buddy took off from there thanks to herolab.

hp 39/43 AC 17

For coming back? People beat him. I think revenge is motivation enough if you're not trying to make them the big bad.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Good. I thought that the case though your comment threw me. What do you think, interesting villain to bring back over and over?

hp 39/43 AC 17

A cursed male half orc barbarian with a lot of magic items that's nearly impossible to kill without a coup de grace. My friend designed him (with a girdle of gender change) to be able come back as a recurring villain with levels in sorcerer or bloodrager and a magical tattoo that makes him read as basically whatever he wants. magic, good, evil, a sandwich.(jk) If you'd care to look and see if I made a wrong call with that lightning, the magic item is Ring of Shooting Stars.

No mention that I could see about a reflex save.

hp 39/43 AC 17

I'm sorry, the lack of players has kind of killed my enthusiasm. I might start this up again at some future time. Thank you for indulging my attempts to get better. Would you care to hazard a guess at what you were fighting?

hp 39/43 AC 17

Janis isn't evil, just selfish in the everyday kind of way. If there was such an alignment, it would be petty evil, since such an alignment doesn't exist he's neutral, you can expect him to do what's best for him and what's best for him is being entertained.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Which isn't true, he'll totally still steal, it's just not his focus anymore.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Sorry, was at a friend's house most of yesterday and for some reason my tablet refuses to allow me access to my Paizo account.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Well, regardless of cats, let me get straight to the point. My name is Janis as I've told you. Wilhim gave you a letter to look me up when you got here. Colloquially I'm known as The Gentleman, a thief by trade and one available for hire, that's how I met our mutual friend.

hp 39/43 AC 17

G$#~!#n, what is up with these rolls. Least the damage when I actually hit you is decent.

hp 39/43 AC 17

I'm gonna leave those who were attacking Bob and Garidan directly out of the picture in case he comes back Two of the fighers attacking Obsidian take a five foot step, flanking him on either side as their friend distracts him.

ATK: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 His blows catch nothing but Obisidian's armor as the two now repositioned fighters strike.

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

The chaos of the battlefield causes one of them to swing wide cutting across his friend's armor and knocking him prone.

The eight archers shoot at Obsidian without hesitance that they might hit their comrades.

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

ATK: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Dam: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

The Jungle queen hiding in the mist raises her hand and a ball of lightning forms that comes flying at you and discharges. Dam: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 2, 3) = 15 No attack roll required.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Alright then.

hp 39/43 AC 17

*thumbs up*

hp 39/43 AC 17

Could always force me to be there. With my background my dad could be forcing me to run an errand or hell, have forced me into the guard. I trust your judgement on ways to get me in, my letter was just intended to give some continuity.

hp 39/43 AC 17

So obsidian, feel like it's time for recruitment, or do you feel like facing Lothan's wrath on your own?

hp 39/43 AC 17

Happy holidays. Man, I'm eager to jump in, though I think I'll be removing the cloak for some stuff like bags of holding,

I'm sorry guys. I'm taking some time off. Maybe next year..

See, I'd worry about that if next year wasn't in a week. I hope whatever's up isn't too serious.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Yerp. But I'll deal with that when it's my turn to post. Man my rolls sucked though.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Honestly, the buff archer isn't that much better than the regular arhcer except for the increased damage.

hp 39/43 AC 17

All the little guys but her archers are outside the effect of obscuring mist. The mist has a ten food radius from her.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Might work very well with a muscle wizard focusing on buffing himself.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Okay, sorry about that interruption, I'd been talking to someone and I had high hopes for the future before she ghosted me. I'm better now.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Obsidian's power is obvious as the earthen spike flies at her, thankfully the aim was off just a bit.

Garidan and his companion Bob drop one of the feline guards on his ass. The six furthest from you move into a line to protect the queen while the other five move towards the you. They're able to not quite surround you, but three are going after obsidian while two attack Garidan and the fifth strikes at Bob.

Melee Rolls:

Obsidian
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Garidan
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Bob
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

The two archers at the queen's side loose their arrows.
Ranged Rolls:

Obsidian
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Garidan
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

The queen raises her hand and a mist billows out from her obscuring her form and dousing the braziers on either side of her and leaving the temple clearing lit only by the stars above.

Could you explain how this works?

Dimensional Savant

very feat intensive....but COOL!

Indeed. Seems a bit not good for standard arcane classes though. What with getting into direct combat.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Could you explain how this works?

hp 39/43 AC 17

..... So does that mean if I take a level of arcanist I can auto flank and deal stabby damage?

hp 39/43 AC 17

only because of the invisibility, the cloak was actually not part of that, the camouflage merely was also good for rogues. I'm also considering just doing a level dip. I need to examine the class more.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Cool, and it's not like I'm super interested in vanish Wabbit, but I'm a rogue. any form of invisibility is a rogue's best friend.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Furnok no. No buying stuff from Saul Goodman.

So Fox, thoughts on the feat allowing me to use the secondary ability of the cloak?

hp 39/43 AC 17

Janis The Gentleman Scarnetti

Welp, here he is for your approval, I have a few things left to do like buy ammo but this is the build. Check out the cloak and tell me what you think, it's a bit pricey so you might want me to choose something else.

hp 39/43 AC 17

See, I have forgotten my name and am now considering naming him Cleopold. As Steve Urkel would say, look what you did.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Sorry I haven't been around this week, been kind of down after some personal stuff. I should resume posting next week since it's minor, just s*&*ty.

hp 39/43 AC 17

I might be a few more days, got hit with something personal, kinda sapped my will to finish up. Nothing bad or tragic, just got ghosted by a girl I like. Bit disheartened.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Fine, ready to jump in in a few days once I make a profile.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Yeah, I'm going to continue without him unless he chimes in. Which will make it a bit tougher of a fight for you guys but we'll see what happens.

hp 39/43 AC 17

So, when you going to do that something else, I'm guessing we lost the third and I'm waiting on you

I'm interested if somebody wants to DM kingmaker. I've been dying to play that one.

hp 39/43 AC 17

It was always my understanding that common was not a united language in Golarion but was actually the most common language to the region.

hp 39/43 AC 17

She's sixty five feet from your starting postion. He could charge her though.

hp 39/43 AC 17

The hilarious part about the current situation, it is entirely plausible for Wilhim to be there given his family are traveling merchants.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Where's the plus one from?

hp 39/43 AC 17

Okay, let's proceed.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Garodan recognizes the spell as Charm Person

hp 39/43 AC 17

Ahh, that would work perfectly, I mean, not ideal given the wait, but other than that it's perfect.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Doubtful unless I didn't buy any of my other magic gear. 20 000. They're called Sniper's goggles and they basically just let me do sneak attack from any range increment with a bonus if I'm in the standard 30 feet. For a sniper rogue build, it's worth every penny.

hp 39/43 AC 17

So, how much wilderness are we talking about? Are we never going to see another city, or will there be opportunities to return and rest. I've got an item I want that I won't be able to afford until later. Sniper Goggles, ranged sneak attack from any distance.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Uh... yeah. You might want to read up on the Friendly Merchant. It's basically a dive bar with a smuggler dock in the worst part of the city.

Here's all I know.

Despite its name the tavern known as The Friendly Merchant is anything but located in the Shadow of the vast Irespan in the Underbridge slum district. The Friendly Merchant is run by scummy scheming half-elf named Siov Cassimeel who uses this crumby tavern as a front for a variety of petty crimes but specialises in smuggling using hidden docks attached to the tavern. Siov rents out this docks to anyone willing to pay his high prices though he drops the price for any member of the Night Scales; he is also rumoured to keep track on anyone using his dock and report back to the Night Scale guild.[1]

hp 39/43 AC 17

I'll recheck my scores, but it should be right, plus 2 from being a human in dex, and I put my plus 1 from fourth level in... wisdom I think, But yeah, that's fine. That would have been my suggestion. So I'll just subtract the extra.

Okay, so, yeah, my scores ended up being hinky. just fixed that. Don't know how that happened though I have my suspicions. And the wealth is changed and his name is right now. So, I'll just go buy the last of my equipment and I'm ready.

hp 39/43 AC 17

Okay, buckled my ass down and mostly completed my sheet. There's a few artifacts left over from the fact that it was a different character at first, but, those aren't in the abilities so they don't matter right now.

The Gentleman

I want you to pay particularly close attention to the money since that wealth by level for a seventh level character in an adventure that's been fairly limited with our treasure so far is obscene. So let me know what you think before I start going to buy hats of disguise and other roguey magic items.

hp 39/43 AC 17

wait, ali? Like, for real, or just a cameo?
