The ugliest man you've ever seen stands before you. He has rounded ears, and no fangs, horns, or tail, so you presume that he's just a hideously ugly human, and not a tiefling or something. But he's so ugly that it's hard to tell. He's big and muscular, and he wears the armor and weapons of a warrior, along with, ironically, a shiny silver holy symbol of Shelyn, the goddess of beauty, love, and art. *speaking very slowly*
With that, he hands out small wood carvings to the Venture-Captain and each member of the party. I then roll a few dice for craft: wood carving (with minimal bonus), and describe the wooden roses briefly, with some being well crafted, and some not even being recognizable as supposedly being roses if you didn't see the nicer ones for comparison.
This is my warpriest of Shelyn. He's a walking oxymoron: Besides being a pacifist warpriest, he's also a very ugly worshiper of the goddess of beauty. He goes around handing out little wood carvings of roses that he makes (poorly) to everyone he meets. In battle, he trips people, and disarms and sunders their weapons, using his reach to do this without provoking AOOs. He'll be getting Improved Trip at level 3. Then he asks his unarmed opponents on the floor to surrender. I'll upgrade his glaive to merciful when he has enough money. He really doesn't want to hurt anyone.
Varg's speech is slow, slightly slurred, and he occasionally stutters, as you might expect from a retarded peson. He's not truly retarded, but he is a slower learner than most people, and wasn't taught very well as a child to make up for it. 1. Why are you a Pathfinder? Varg provokes from the elf in blue in order to charge the spellcaster in green. Varg sees that Wailan is taking care of healing Tavagra, so he nods, and goes after the enemies. Yelling, "AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!", he charges the archer in blue, and makes an attack to sunder his bow. This would provoke an attack of opportunity, but he probably can't take one with his bow. I think there's a feat for that, but I doubt a level 1 enemy will have it yet. Sunder vs CMD: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 2 = 10
Going for a shirt/folio reroll on that attack roll, which also adds +3 for my GM stars. Sunder vs CMD: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 2 + 3 = 20 I just looked it up. The Core Rulebook (Additional Rules, end of chapter 7) says that projectile weapons typically have 5 hardness and 5 hit points, so 13 damage is enough to snap it in half, unless it's magical. My AC is at -2 until my next turn, because of the charge.

"NO!!!" Varg yells, as he sees Tavagra fall unconscious. His first instinct is to ask Shelyn to heal his fallen ally, but he remembers the lessons from Master of Swords Marcus Farabellus: First, eliminate the threat. Then, heal your allies. Knowing the half-orc is tough enough not to bleed to death immediately, he moves to attack the thug who hurt her, while positioning himself between the enemy spellcasters and the rest of the party. Trip vs yellow's CMD: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 This provokes from him, but since he's using a longsword, he can't take an AoO from 10 feet away.

Yes, Varg has a silver holy symbol of Shelyn. No, Varg doesn't have any useful skills. Just diplomacy and craft: wood carving. The down side of dumping int, especially on a class that doesn't get many skill ranks anyway. Varg casts Detect Magic, starting with the direction of the body and coin, but then around the whole room.

Varg looks around, trying to determine who Heryn gestured to. He is apparently flustered by the ambiguity, and doesn't know where to go. As people approach the bar, he asks each, "Is... this... yours?" Varg isn't really the social type who would go start a conversation, unless he has a specific task to talk to someone about. That's why he came straight to the bartender. That's also why he's a warpriest rather than a real priest. He wants to spread beauty and the word of Shelyn - he's just really bad at it.

On the way to the Wounded Wisp, Varg makes a point of handing out his hand carved wooden roses to every Pathfinder in the party. Some are better quality than others, as indicated by the craft checks above. Having given them out to Dreng and his teammates, he'd have run out by the time we get to the Wisp, unless someone doesn't want theirs. Varg watches his teammates split up to talk to various people. As each leaves to a different table, he looks like he's about to say something, but ends up just staying quiet. He shrugs his shoulders and walks up to the bartender. Seeing how busy she is, he waits patiently for an opening, wanting to talk to her and complete the mission he was assigned by Dreng. "Are... you... Her-yn... Gale?"
