My group got TBKed in WoD as well. We were gen 11 and after months of play were up to about the 1980s. The GM hod just bought the werewolf book and decided to have us fight a bunch of them.

We were slaughtered.

Clearly there will be consequences for resting. Lower rewards or possible total failure. If it was just a matter of someone had to die to ensure mission success I would throw myself on that proverbial grenade and pay for the raise. But I think we are all expecting a major fight and if Tolar drops early the party loses a major source of damage and potentially other party members will die. I'll go along with the majority but I do feel a rest is our best chance of the whole party surviving this. Complete mission success may not be possible at this point.

I've lost a couple of characters in PF1. A level 4 Witch that just got focus fired during an ambush and a level 8 Inquisitor that got dominated and the party was too busy trying to escape him to be able to save him. (Dedicated archer with a T-Rex animal companion and no other damage dealers in the party.)

Nice. I was afraid the sword would be junk but it's pretty good. But Tolar doesn't know that and I'm not sure how identifying magic items or fusions works in SF.

Note that your hireling is not actually here mechanically speaking. Unless they added rules recently they are just considered to be following you... somehow. They are there when their skills are needed and not there during combat. I bring it up because having one along is fun RP but no point in saving it over a PC.

Is there a map so we can see the layout of where they are? Can they be identified from here? Maybe Tolar could lead them away if they lack flying or ranged options.

Tolar can just walk over them but that doesn't help the rest of the party. Do we know if they can fly or have ranged attacks? If not Tolar could probably drive them away.

It is Tolar's lot in life to be used as a weapon against his allies. If Tolar is still dominated after the tentacles are gone it may be best to just drop him, stabilize him, then go on without him.

There is a orange arrow from Kait'lax but I don't see mention of moving so I think Tolar's best option for killing everyone is the same shot as last time.
