I would need to rework this guy, but I would love to dive in. Would covert him to an Investigator. Skilled and support.

I've had this guy just waiting for this for a while now. Stats need to be bumped up a bit for a 30 pt buy... mythic path is trickster.

Sorry to see you go Thuvius, I thought you had a very strong character.

Of course, now I'm second guessing/regretting this. Ah well... Thuvius will get used for something, someday.

Gotcha.

Had Thuvius stayed in you would have gotten one about being teamed with him. Dave's a fun guy.

Awwww, thanx! Well, how's this? Keep me in mind if you need a replacement later.

meh... I'm dropping out. Not feeling it.

I think I will retool Thuvius into a more spy/scout type character going Investigator/Rogue (Sniper/Unchained). Especially since the original build worked towards some of the cheese power that you warned against (holy bomb+celestial poisons+sneak attack+explosive ammunition cheeeeeze). Same basic background, just a little more serious.

Some more notes:

Skilled characters have a much better shot if they do not give up trapfinding.

I will assume that your projected Mythic Path matches the campaign trait you choose. If that is not the case, please let me know.

A dedicated healer is practically a shoe in.....

Oh, and any ideas of building up to some potentially game breaking combo is discouraged. I will be unmerciful in nerfing such things if I feel it detracts from the storyline. By game breaking I do not mean uber damage or high saves or high AC as there are multiple ways around such. By game breaking I mean, getting around basic game balance mechanics to do stuff that is beyond ridiculous (i.e. more than two spells a round, infinite attacks, etc.). I won't punish great builds or concepts, but I will not use obscure interpretations to create effects never intended. The best course is to ask me about anything that may be questionable beforehand.

Well, I had considered swapping Alchemist for Investigator. Let me look into that after work. Less mad scientist, more legit scientist.

Still interested, assuming this for real. Thuvius is definitely a trickster type. Roles: skilled, ranged and sneak.

I am in the central time zone, but I work second shift.

It's pretty neat.

From what I see, there may already be a five man band in the making from this thread alone, with Korak as the leader....or the big guy, being a dwarf and all.

I support this.

Perhaps you were thinking of this: Pack Flanking

It's good for the Hunters and Cavaliers, not much else unless you are playing a gestalt game.

It requires an animal companion, I believe.

With the five man band, it'd be Hey, look at US!

Let heaven and hell tremble...

It would also be nice not having to deal with Hey LOOK AT ME types for once.

Honestly, I would play any AP if we had good group synergy. That's the kind of game that would most likely make it to the end.

What I've always thought to be a good campaign idea is a one race group. In my gaming group, we have been kicking around the idea of an all-goblin group. I've also thought an all-dwarf campaign might be great, especially with all the examples of an all-dwarven group, like The Hobbit or Snow White.

All goblins... hope your GM isn't planning on a structured story, and is patient. Very patient. Right, Korak?

What they lack in height, they make up for in concentrated mass.

I have a smart guy that could work with Korak... (from the same WotR recruitment) I also have a Lancer type from a dead Giantslayer that would make good straight man.

Fluff-wise? Depth and overall ability to be interesting. If helps if they're willing to explore strange new places and go a long, long ways from home. XD I like characters who have a lot of thought put into them and feel like real people. Recruitment will be for the duration of the Kickstarter, so there's plenty of time to polish up and improve that.

Crunch-wise? Pretty much my standard. 25 PB, Gestalt, emphasis on covering multiple roles instead of doing one role very well. Some stuff from Unchained (Innate Item Bonuses, Background Skills).

Kickstarter? What Kickstarter? I've already vowed no more kickstarters before GenCon, goldurnit!

Now I'm curious, what was the concept?

It was a series of old 3.0 non-wizards modules i tied together with an over arching back story and villian to connect them.

Re did the setting to be in the shackles and made it all pathfinder and gestalted

Would you be willing to share a link to your thread? Sounds interesting.
here it is

Well, if ya ever need someone new in the game, send me a PM. Assuming I haven't already annoyed you.

The sad thing is, I am actively letting other campaigns that interest me go by because I doubt my ability to play more than one or two without f%%@ing up and overextending my own abilities.

I am actually burned out on making new characters, for the most part, which is why I'm letting the Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods and Skull & Shackles slide, despite really wanting to play all three games. I will drop in an application for Rednal's Legendary Planet thingee, since I've heard good things about his games, and it looks increasingly like this may not happen.

Should be interesting to see how things go for my Legendary Planet campaign here in... *Checks watch* Oh, five or six days.

I could be okay with that. I'd like to do the standard storyline for the campaign since I've heard good things, but I've wanted to get in on Wrath for a while, so I'll take it how I can get it.

Agreed

Ah well, round of shots anyone?

Something tells me the GM is just going to throw his hands up in frustration and call it done.

Do you mean party..., OR PAAAARRRTY!?!?

They sure didn't. Wish I was still the only guy with Rogue. Way less competition...

Seems quite lively and active to me... 47 posts while I was at work!

*Analyzes beer to make sure it has no extra mind-affect properties - besides normal beer that is*

*sniff*

Ahh... A fine Ustalavan trippel. Very nice. *returns a knowing wink*

Yes, I needed sleepytime as well.

I kind of like the visual of the scandinavian sticks...

Heh... Something like Fin Du Monde might be appropriate for this campaign.

@DM: Are you allowing Unchained Rogue?

Working on Crunch now. It'll be ready in a day or two. Here's some reading material in the mean time.

Traits: Reactionary and Touched by Divinity (Iomedae, War Domain)

FYI, Arcane trickster is generally a banned prestige class in gestalt. Though the GM might rule differently, since he is allowing sneak attack to stack (I just noticed that)

From the gestalt rules: A gestalt character can’t combine two prestige classes at any level, although it’s okay to combine a prestige class and a regular class. Prestige classes that are essentially class combinations-such as the arcane trickster, mystic theurge, and eldritch knight-should be prohibited if you’re using gestalt classes, because they unduly complicate the game balance of what’s already a high-powered variant. Because it’s possible for gestalt characters to qualify for prestige classes earlier than normal, the game master is entirely justified in toughening the prerequisites of a prestige class so it’s available only after 5th level, even for gestalt characters.

6 months after the utterance of those words, the Worldwound was defeated, the demons dead or sent packing. And not a single of our heroes remembers a bit of it.
Deskari was brought down with a bar stool to the back of the head, whilst another hero gave Baphomet noogies. It was also overheard that Dagon should stop hitting himself.
We're going to need more brew masters, I can't keep the alcohol flowing that long. But it does make me want to homebrew an adventure based on the most epic bar crawl in history.

Oh, please yes! I'm going to make a new mythic path... The Bro.

Aww, wasabi! That's so cute... Ghost Pepper?

It's a fair trade. My hands are so scarred and calloused over I wont notice a new bit... *Cuts thumb*

He doesn't? I was under the impression that VMC worked on your normal levelup feats - as in, the usual ones you get every other level.

Yeah, VMC works on your normal advancement feats (levels 3,7,11,15 and 19 specifically), so you can't attach it to one side of your gestalt or something like that. You just don't get feats at those levels. And you can't opt out of it either. Some VMC's are definitely better than others... Some are downright terrible.
