Well, if you are seeking an autograph, no problem! Just tell me where to send it. If you want an autographed Doshko, you got to supply the Doshko.... but I'll sign it! I'll even get my good friend and Vid-sensation Draka to sign it also. That was her weapon of choice anyway.

Zane wants to live because he wants to conquer the universe (fanboy wise not militarily) , but as a PC, I think this is an ending that we couldn't have hoped for. An epic final boss battle that left us gasping and grasping.
We even got a mega warship space combat in for good measure.

Personally, the ending was so special because "two stayed behind" and two went to the exits.... but when the others needed that "final burst of help"-- Abe didn't think twice and forsook the safe escape for his companions. That's the textbook ending for me - ABE's critical decision. Abe and Zane could have just shrugged shoulders and gone on the hyperlift. Instead, there was a call to action and ABE knew he was making a life and death decision.

Zane thought about it not once, not twice, but three times. He returned because he can't fly a ship. At the end, he smiled and enjoyed his friends company.

I choose fiery ending.

What an ENDING!! I got all misty and emotional when looking over these final posts and writing my own view of Zane's demise.

@Gm- Exceptional work on this AP. SO MUCH FUN.
@ Players- wonderful roleplaying. Everyone stayed in magnificent character and developed full living breathing friends for Zane to bond with- even Messelina -an inanimate object was Zane's closest companion.
Damn! Dash had so very few posts where he didn't say a swear word. That's tough work in a 4000 post PBP.
Vetch was great with his goblin hate, but also amazing at avoiding damamge. I'd guess he took 200 (ish) damamge the whole campaign. He be smart.
Abe- You did EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING with the Sunrise Maiden and developing two characters- yourself and Messelina. Anyway, the Sunrise Maiden was bad-a$$ and it was all you.

I liked Starfinder. It's system is a bit broken, but I'm all about roleplaying. It was different and liberating to be able to use pop culture references (vs. regular Pathfinder) and pump in modern music.
What a great change of pace. Would I do 10 Starfinder Campaigns? No, but I'd play the system again.

Zane is exhultant as the music blasts. He's exhultant as he lays down some fiery death and destruction with the weapons.
As Vetch flies through the debris, he sees how close they are to the Stellar Degenerator. His exhultantion ends. Not enough time to escape. Jumping in an escape pod only to be captured by The Eoxians sounds like a last ditch option.

Then he has a mental picture of Waneda, and most of the other Eoxian screwheads he's encountered. Zane is more than satisfied that he's spent the last 2 months giving them the old Rachel-Ross. In fact, Zane puts his forearms up, clench fist side by side with clenched fist and gives a real Rachel-Ross to the Universe's enemies.

There's not much to say, champions that go out on top are undisputed champions. The barbershop talkers never knock them down. They are always held on a high pedistal, which is what Zane always craved.
Team Blood and Fury was exactly that. An undefeated Team with a perfect name.
Undisputed Champions. The Zane has the best teammates ever. Thank you.

He *thinks* he's shooting lasers of some sort. What he really shoots is a Gravity Cannon and a Mass Driver.

He looks down the tube for a grav-train..hoping one would come in the brief 5 seconds lag of having to make a decision.
His plan of just grabbing Messelina and jumping on a Grav-train back to Sunrise exits his mind.

Zane moves to the bridge seat, ejecting a lifeless form if needed. Zane knew the weapons seat from when he was in the bridge area before.
He lines up the crosshairs and starts popping off blasts like a videogame.

Zane takes the Essex IV suit. There's also an awesome Freebooter III armor, and my Golem Forged.

There's also a Deflective Reinforcement add on that I don't need.

With the amazing Super spear, Zane certainly doesn't need any more weapons. The spear can be melee and laser.

Coach, it's been good being a part of the team. Guess the contract didn't get renewed. Seems like the club went in a different direction.
Please know that Coach Dash was the best coach The Zane's played for. Ever.

As an aside, but am I wrong from interpreting: The electroencephalon command key is the key to Serovox's undead power. With it you can take control of the Empire of Bones. Picking the key up you feel the ship become an extension of your own body.

Abe can attach it and then remote the Empire of Bones ship from the sunrise maiden... right? All safey, safey?

When Messelina went down, that hurt The Zane's heart a lot. She's worth more than 5 cameras and end of fight footage. Abe's gonna get her good and right, right?

He just nods at ABE. Zane thinks fixmaster can fix his girl Lina.

Other than that whisper,he remains pretty silent and demure.

what a long way has Zane developed from when you first met him! Back at the Plaguewarren statue (Now, The Zane Statue) he was very upset about the lack of cameras featuring Him.

You guys held off a full onslaught from the pincer attack.
I would also like to note that Zane probably absorbed/had displaced/field fixed/kinetically absorbed in the ballpark of 400 points of damage. The displacement on the critical hit, plus the kinetic absorbtion from the monks attacks were huge.
But, let me stress... he was built to take 200 points of damage normally ... and by sheer luck got an extra 200ish HP's in transparent damage.

As a player, my jaw just dropped to the floor.
as Zane, he just drops to the floor.

Zane's body slumps down. He wordlessly pulls out a bandage- applying some blood keeping tricks he knows.

While doing this, he stays where he's at, but rotates his head to scan the dead bodies littering the two rooms.
He sees a body and nods his head. Up and down. Up and Down.

What a combat! Zane regains 11 Stamina by using Field Fix. and he downs a serum of healing. serum: 3d8 ⇒ (5, 5, 7) = 17 HP's

Zane groans, Zane grits his teeeth. Zane's knees are buckling and barely keeping him up. It's the framework of his armor that deceives the vidcam viewer into thinking he's " just fine".
But Zane know's he's on camera. Not the time for whining or crying.Time for gritted teeth trash talk dirty Harry Zane style.

While The Zane likes shooting things, being toe to toe is JUST PRIMO CHERRY.

The Zane friggin' LOVES this spear. Holy Hot Damns, yes the kind with the two drops of tabasco in them, this spear should never have been put into a glass case.

@ GM. I don't think Zane imagines it goes all the way. Being an invisible wall, it's just not magics he's dealt with before. I'll play him as ignorant to the fact he'd be trapped.

@ GM. The wall that separates the room in invisible right?
Zane only knows about it, because he sort of backed up against in in the lower part of the command deck.
It's possible/probable that Zane doesn't know the wall goes all the way across.
I basically need to know as -with Abe in the room, he'd head that way and not to the door.

Sheesh. Losing more than 2 fumbles in a game usually means losing the game. Kinda hard to beat an opponent when you lose the take away stats. Coaches tell The Zane all the time, win the deflections and take away stats and the game is won!

As the GateCrasher leaves like a woman with bed head exiting a hotel room. Zane yells out to the Walk of Shame(r), Say The Name!

Seeing the enemies on either side of him, he gloats about how he hastoo many women to dealwith. This is like Wilt "the Stilt" Chamberlain or Tommy "The Gunn". But his jovial mood ends abruptly as he sees his favorite B & F'er get smashed over and over again.

As a reaction when an adjacent foe takes a guarded step away, can take your own guarded step to remain adjacent to them.
Step Up and Strike
When using Step Up can move up to 10 ft and make a free attack of opportunity (it doesn't count vs. your AoO limit).
Given the above, I don't know what happens in the last action. His weapon has reach and is unweildy. I don't think he can attack me this round.
