I have the beginnings of one here. The best shield to use for it would be the Dwarven War Shield. It gives you benefits for using a second one.

Flexing lashes ouyt with his shield in hopes of preventing the pheonix from flying away and harrying his friends

I know it's dead, Flexing wouldn't let it go without a fight.

The dwarf then rushes over to cleric, accidentally skittering past the tiefling with his nearly doubled speed. "Whoops, still not quite used to how much faster my feet are!" He doubles back and gives the man a wide grin. "Oh, I like this spell, whatcha call it again? Might have to get a wand of it to have people cast on me now n then!"

He reaches down and picks up the feather looking it over. "I ain't got a bleeding clue what in the High Dwarven Heavens to do with this. Anyone got any ideas? I could tie it to my arm if not. Splash a'red would highlight the peak!"

It's kinda cool to get Flex running around at 40' base speed as I'm ultimately hoping to get him up to that speed (around level 11/12 sadly)

Can we activate that boob that adds +10 to base speed for an encounter. Maybe the one that adds +4 to initiative as well?

Flexing gives Reznor a nod of appreciation as he feels his feet seem to move a bit faster. He jumps up and down a few times before giving a smile, "Oh this feels nice. I think I can keep up with everyone this way!"

He strides forward with a burst of speed and...

Flexing gives a roar and a double biceps pose over the downed drow. He then breaks into a gruff smile and joins back up with the group. "Ah that was cathartic! Now to get The Sharp Rapier (name still pending) back on her feet. Anybody tried slapping her face yet? Should we dunk her head in some water? Any idea what kind of poison that was? I've got a nice antiplague but no antitoxin. We could go do some shopping as well. I think that booth where we came in is still open."

Flexing gives a roar as the battle seems to move past him. Not to be outdone he puts on a burst of speed and sprints right up the stairs and down the other side, barely slowing down as he tries to slam into the side of the remaining drow, 'Punchy' shield first.

I don't think we have either. I didn't know that the secured areas helped with anything.

Shield puts on a small burst of speed, raising both shields in a defensive posture that seems ready to fend off any arrows or bolts that might come flying his way. "Dang enemies starting too far away for the Flesxing Shield to reach easily! Alright people try not to get too far ahead of me can't really keep you safe it you rush ahead of me!"

Flexing in a good position finally, and not getting a response from the dwarves gives a sigh and tries to bash his shield into anyone still standing.

Flexing gives a small spurt of shock as he notices that the people raiding the temple, the loathsome pirates that the group is supposed to stop, are dwarfs. He gives a low growl as he realizes that they are trying to raid the place. He leaps forward, dodging around the well and getting in as close as he can with one of the dwarfs as possible. As he advances he starts calling. "Oi, my brethren! What are you doing here? Raiding a temple like some crass pirates! What would Torag think of your actions? Folgrit or Angradd? Don't follow the path of Droskar! There's no honor on that path."

Double move to get in close, the line on the map should be 40 feet unless there's some issue with difficult terrain.

Flexing gives a wide eyed look at the gem as the tree starts pounding on it. "Are you sure we don't want to examine that furt... Nevermind!" He stops as the gem shatters and the people under his care noticeably seem to be feeling better. "If it was that dangerous of an item then it wasn't worth keeping intact! Good call, Vina!"

He gives a look around the area, and notices both the undead and astral beings. Though his eyes seem to narrow in on the astral invaders more. "The undead are being caused by the astral invaders, right? Seems to me it'd be better to take care of them first and then sweep up the undead. Let's go get those bastards! ... Also Reznor's got it right. Astral things are much more exciting than your mundane undead..."

Flexing takes a closer look at the slaves and sees if he can do anything to help.

After cutting the poor people out of their chains and bonds, Flexing takes a good look at their wounds, bandaging anything bleeding and seeing if he can get a healer for anything worse.

After a bit with the people he comes back, a slightly worried look on his face. "The people back there were talking about having terrible nightmares. Oh and some sort of witch making deals with the dreugar. I don't like the sounds of that."

Flexing rushes forward not caring for the light conditions, his eyes the result of thousands of years of evolution making darkness not an issue to him. He brings both shields up and locks them into a unified position, creating an extra large barrier. Not quite close enough to charge he waits and sees what the enemy will do. In common he calls back, "Dreugar! The hated evil of my kind. I'll keep us safe, just be careful if you move beyond me!"

He then turns and calls to the dreugar in Dwarven. "Oh pitiable cousins. You're out numbered. Just lay down your weapons and we'll garuntee your lives! Maybe even properly revive your fallen comrade?"

Flexing gives a roar of triumph as he slams his shield into one of the creatures coming out of the dark. "Never underestimate the power of the Shield!" He then gives a small urk of surprise as another comes flying out as well, almost completely unready for it's attack, before Niva's rapier slows it down some and he can successfully bat it away. "Niva, Thank-you! I'm supposed to be defending you but instead you're defending me. I might have to deputize you after this, if you're interested... Do you like the sounds of The Sharp Rapier?"

Giving her a good-natured wink, he turns and tries to slam the second foe.

Realizing that something has spooked Sulana, Flexing jumps in front of her both shields raised and ready to slam one into the face of anything that might pop out. "Sulana, what is up? Is there something out there? Don't worry, I'll cover you, just keep shooting at it! And I'll try punching it if it comes closer."

Probably won't get an AoO, or get a readied attack, but just in case

Flexing tries to climb the sides of the rolling tunnel using the hand holds that he'd been pointing out to everyone earlier.

He nearly scrambles up the wall like a spider, all the holds he'D found ealier being right where he left them. "And then we move over to the left, climb fifteen feet and then hop to the right about 2 feet and then..."

When the group finally has a chance to stop and breathe, he gives the ratfolk a look, Wait we were being followed by rats? Huh, I hadn't noticed... Ohhhh, wait these ones are standing on two legs and talking.

Breathing a sigh of relief that noone got more than a bite on them, Flexing comes in close and double checks that the wolves are taken care of before leading the charge to Round Mountain.

He give the rolling mountain a look of shock, not quite believing an entire mountain could roll like that. He tries to stutter out a utterance of disbelieve before realizing that the races are truly worried about the danger.

He immediately recognizes a few places on the rock faces where one could cling safely and not be tumbled about. "You, short one, hang on there and there. Long tail, move up a few grips! Perfect! Cassiopia to your right. There you go!"

His mind, however, freezes as the topic turns to ways to build scaffolding. "The basic tunnel structures that dwarves built during the quest for the sky might work... But they weren't the best and I can't remember how they were built. Also we'd need nails not vines..."

Flexing hearing the sound of battle finishes up his last push up and rushes around the wall to see what in hell's name is happening. "You guys didn't tell me you finished with your meeting! And you immediately get into a fight? I can't keep people safe if you don't tell me things!"

Flexing seems to be on the other side of a wall. Is he supposed to start there? And he's not still changing, is he? Thought I'd double check.

The Shield wakes up in the bushes again, feeling hot and flustered. He glances down at the cloak and gives a disheartened sigh. We've worked so hard to build a great looking body and what does he do? Cover it up like a shameful scar! Also I'm amazed our body doesn't cook to death in everything he wears...

The shield quickly strips off the cloak, replacing his helm in the back pack with it. He then takes off the sleeves that his counterpart so ungraciously added. With a quick appreciative flex of his now bare arms, he tosses the sleeves into the pack and chucks his helm on. The big things taken care of, the dwarf settles down to rebraid his beard and do a few quick push ups.

He joins back up with the group a little later, smiling. "I saw the three groups leaving. We moving on? Time to move about and hit something, right? We aren't going for another snooze fest of 'talking' and 'diplomacizing', are we?"

Flexing gives the owlheaded people an uneasy glance but de odes to follow everyone else over. His eyes glaze over as the conversation turns theoretical and he starts idlely flexing before he stands stretches and comments. "I'm not gonna be much help here nothing to defend ya against and talking ain't my forte. I'm gonna go out front, do some push ups, body weight training and finish off my protein drink. Holler if you need me but I'm probably going to need a second to get the breastplate back on..."

He heads out front and finds a bush to hide in before his face goes slack and he lets the other half take over.

No knowledge (Geography) here but if he can transition back to Toivo for a moment, Flexing could auto aid whoever makes the check. He has a -1 for Bluff and only a +5 compared to some +6s in the party.

Flex gives a loud grumble as Niva moves up beside him and takes a bite to the shoulder. "OI! You're supposed to stay behind me! Can't be a good shield if you're getting attacked!"

He steps up next to the investigator and then lashes out with his 'punching shield'.

As for missions I don't really have a strong opinion. 4 would be fun to try though but if we want to do 5 or 2 before that it's okay with me. Tl;DR: 1/2 a vote for four.

Flex takes a second to analyze the situation, noticing that Cassiopia rushes straight into a fight. Looking over at Sulana and her drawn bow, he gives her a small shake of the head. "No use, I think Cassiopia has prevented us from ending this peacefully, if they were even interested in peace." He turns back to face the enemies, gives a small snort of air, and then with a scream of "I am the FLEXING SHIELD!" rushes forward. He keeps one shield in front of his face and muscled arms while keeping the other readied below the first. He slides in next to the first enemy and slams the readied shield forward.

Flex pauses for a second thinking. "Why do the sacred waters have to be stopped in the first place? Is there a threat to them or a reason they should be left alone? And what happens if balance is not restored? All of those kappas will have died for no reason and the fountain will still it be safe. In other words, it almost feels less like you are protecting the fountain than gambling with lives that this place will be saved. "

Flexing nods at his friend's words but counters with a boisterous, "Ah but if we do have to kill a dragon think of the stories they will tell of us!"

He gives the kappa one last long look before asking, given his sagely sounding tone, he believes is an insightful question. "And what color might this dragon be?"

Flex moves in a bit closer and gets a good look at the creatures.

Unsure of what he's looking at, Flex moves in a bit closer and decides to follow his friend's actions and start helping the turtle like things onto their feet. As he pulls the first one on to its feet single handedly, he strikes a pose flexing his free arm. "Don't worry! The Flexing Shield is here! You'll now have 300 pounds of pure dwarven brawn between you and the bad things! .... So, uhhhhhh, mind telling us what's going on here, and who you are?"

I'm all for mission 6 as well! And a quick success is always nice!

Flexing gives a small start as the halfling fades away and the temple gets replaced with the real one. He lets some of the tension out of his shoulders and drops the shields by his side. "Dang, that was a trip! Almost like I'd overdosed on something." Listening to Sulana, he gives a small frown, nodding at her words. "Yep, if there's some god that's going to come and make things even more complicated then I'm outta here. That's a majo reason I follow Trudd. He doesn't mess around with riddles or annoying stuff like that!"

He pauses for a second, pulls out a flask and takes a swig of something that smells like protein powder and alchol. "Alright we we going to go after that fountain right?"

Flex gives a few long blinks at the table. "Ah Trudd's flexing arm! That is gross! Here let's just get this all on the floor where it belongs." The big man then hunches his shoulders squats level with the table and rushes it with his shields to the front.

CMB: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 +2 if this counts as a bullrush or overrun maneuver.

As he slides past the table he runs into the other half of the room and skidders to a halt covering his ears over the wailing. He wanders closer and tries to knonk the man on the head with his shield. "Stop that you're ruining the food! If ya calm down I can try making a good meal and we can talk all about it.

Instill Hope: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
So wanted to make that a non-leathal attack roll but I'm not sure if knocking him out would help

Flex gives his breast plate and the two different shields strapped to his arms a look before he raises his hands in frustration. "Ain't no way in heaven, earth, hell or werever this place is, am I going to get into the right positions wiht all this armor on..." He glances over at Reznor and trundles over. "Hey scaly! I think if oyu tuck your tail here and fold the wings in slightly it'd be easier for you to hold and probably work better for meditation... Now everyone, see the nice crossed legs, you want to get yours in the same position if not better!"

Acrobatics Aid Another: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16 Not sure if Toivo can aid after the roll (or at all in this situation). If he can't aid (Reznor that is) then he'll aid whoever he can.

Seeing there's not a thing he can do from the first half of the room, he moves to the other half of the room and frowns for a second. After a moment of pondering he comes up with an idea. He double checks that the cooking supplies are still in his pack and then looks for a way to climb up to the balcony.

If he can't find a way up:
Bluff Aid Another: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4 Sighing some at how smooth the walls are, Flex instead tries to help whoever tries distrating the crowd, but he can't seem to get his voice head above the droning of the corpse.

If he can find a way up:
Climb, -3 ACP included: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Flex gingerly tries to haul himself up the side of the balcony. If he makes it to the top, he pulls out a cauldron and tries to plop it over the corpses head. "Jsut shut up already!"

Flex gives a small start as they find themselves in an odd situation. "Wait the temple didn't look like this in the room before..." He's so distracted that he fails to recognize the threat that the skeletons represent before therest of the group have already handled them.

Silently breating himself for not staying on top of things, he moves into the next room swearing to move faster. He recognizes the problem almost immediately, and decides to search for a different holy text to let them read.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 hope this is a lower DC cause we've both just missed 15

He bumbles about the place, not really able to grab ahold of things with two shields strapped to his arms.

Flex gives a smile at Reznor's suggestion. "A place someone has some knowledge about. I agree visiting the Temple would be a good idea. But after that I'm rather curious about this fountain. An endless supply of water that stopped, sounds intriguing if nothing else!"

Another vote for mission 3 and then a suggestion for mission 6...

As Aram Zey calls the pathfinders to assemble, a massive dwarf rushes up to the small group, and takes a few moments to get his breathing under control. He stands a good 4 feet 5 inches, and looks to be at least that of not more so wide, though at the shoulders, not the waist. His bare shoulders and upper arms show just how burly the dwarf is, with the deltoids and biceps seeming like two cantalopes on each arm. On one hand he has strapped a jagged edged shield bearing the mark of a flexing arm, with an identical looking one strapped to his pack as well. He pulls off his helm and pats at his sweat matted black hair and beard with a hand towel as the former Master of Spells speaks.

As soon as he can, the dwarf addresses the group. "Sorry for being late. I lost track of time, uh, working out. Glad I could make it in time. I am the Flexing Shield, you can call me FS, Shield or Flex if you want, and I'm here to impose myself between anything that might threaten you. That's right, there's going a good 300 pounds of solid dwarf between you and the undead menaces."

He offers a firm handshake to those willing to take him up on it, before double checking that his pack is in order and that the potion of Endure Elements that Toivo recieved is still firmly in place.

It took a little bit longer to finish up the character sheet and got a profile for Toivo's Vigilante Identity together, but it is done. Meet the Flexing Shield (though he won't be in game for a little bit).
