Maybe I'm blind, but I can seem to find(in the Core book)a way to put a value on a Wand of Vampiric Touch with 8 charges left. Thought there was a way to "reverse engineer it" using the creation rules...

Any ideas?
Ranged weapon and AoO

Using a ranged weapon(bow) against a melee combatant(in a square I threaten) provokes an Attack of Opportunity...yes? How about when base to base and using a ranged attack at against an enemy at range?

I know this was the case in 3.5...but I can't find it ANYWHERE in the PRPG Core Book. I have had a player tell me(as a DM) that I'm wrong. Im about to house rule that it provokes...

Sorry for what is going to be a somewhat simple answer. I searched the forums and got 3.5 stuff only.
