I know. I wouldn’t mind buying a first printing, though, if I had a list of errata. That’s what xtra-fine sharpies are for. :)
Aaron Shanks wrote: Errata will be published on this site when a second printing is complete. I have no timeline to share. But I can tell you that I’m trying to promote sales as fast as I can. ;) Thanks!
Is there an errata document for the Beginner Box?
Also, is a second printing anywhere on the horizon?
If I'd been playing with a group new to Pathfinder, or Second Edition, or tabletop rollplaying, I would have fudged a few more rolls and found a way to pull it out, or just told them flat out to run after the first one went down. But this was a group of four players who have, for the most part, played since the D&D 2nd Edition days, and one of them was our VC.
It didn't occur to me to have the faerie dragon come in and save them. But that's a good idea.
I think they breezed through the rest of the module, and just weren't expecting the final fight (with a bunch of overgrown mudbugs) to be as hard as it was.
Anyone else have a TPK in the last encounter of LTiBA? I was pulling punches and fudging rolls, ignoring abilities and generally using bad tactics, and my party of four pregen kobolds still died, including the druid's animal companion. As one of my players said, "I've killed dragons. I've vanquished demons. I've battled the avatars of the gods themselves. To be bested by a bunch of ditch lobsters!"
What about a Level -1 creature? Extrapolating from the table in the CRB, it looks like it would be 13.
Never mind. Looks like it's Ian Hawthorne.
Any game shops in Sheffield that run Society games? I have a friend who is looking for a group.
Who is the current VC for the area that includes Sheffield, England?
Also, where do I find the list of all the VCs and VLs?

One of the recent Society scenarios had "shortword" as a weapon for a foe. I told my players the word was "git." Then we had a whole conversation about "striking shortwords" and "precise shortwords."
I can’t find this anywhere in the scenario. How much money is in the coin purse given to the party by Venture-Captain Bjersig Torrsen in the pre-mission briefing?

Thanks, everyone. I found the rules in the back of the Bestiary after I knew what to look for.
Captain Morgan wrote: Effect The monster automatically Grabs the target So it’s automatic. Thanks!
If a monster or NPC has damage listed as such:
Damage 2d6+6 slashing plus Grab
Does that mean it gets a chance to roll that combat maneuver, or is it automatic?
As far as I can tell, the old system of rolling a die to determine the direction of a missed bomb is gone in 2E. Is that correct? If it misses, there’s splash damage, and if it crit misses, it just does nothing?
I'm running this scenario Saturday. Wish me luck. I played it at DragonCon and it was a lot of fun.

I used to love the Szcarni faction missions. They were usually opposed to every other faction's goals.

I'll have to go back and look. I think he was just "Pathfinder adjacent" and not actually a Pathfinder. But then neither was Zarta to start off with, and now she leads a whole school. I can't remember who the other faction leader was that you work for in that scenario.
I just wondered. Most of the old faction leaders had some kind of big send off, or got written out of the setting in some way. Karela just disappeared.
Whatever happened to Guaril Karela?
Familiars have movement and hit points, so they can act separately from their masters and be targets in combat. Even though they are Tiny, do they need a marker or mini on the map, or are they assumed to be in the same space as their masters?

Pathfinder Friday
Good to know. I like to notate my pdf with where they clarified a rule, and Twitch uses fuzzy dates e.g. “2 weeks ago.”
Reading blogs, listening to podcasts, watching twitch. How many different places do we have to keep up with to get errata? LOL
I’ll repeat Gisher’s question. What/when/where are Pathfinder Fridays?
Where’s a good place to find promotional materials for PFS and SFS that have space for me to fill in our game day times and locations? Looking for flyers, brochures, etc. that are in a template format.
DC2019 was a blast. I think I played ten or eleven slots. I lost count.

Incubus: You mean "not yet."
It looks like to me that sorcerers can retrain bloodlines. This opens up some interesting opportunities to roleplay. "I always thought I was Celestial, but I went to the genealogy section of the archives, and it turns out I'm actually 3/64ths Draconic. As soon as I read that, I felt the blood of dragons, latent in my veins, boil to the surface!"
What's the Golarian version of 23andMe? :)
It won't let me make the change, but the listing for Mobile Area Pathfinder Society should not have game times, as they change from week to week based on which system we are playing. The warhorn link is good. Coords should be:
North 30.728300
West 88.173313
I'd make this change myself if it would let me.

Me too. As a GM, I'm looking forward to seeing how players use their odd Lore skills. I fully intend to build one of my characters with "Lore: shrubbery" and if I come across a hedge maze...
Is there going to be a master list of Lore subjects allowable for PFS characters, or is it pretty much wide open? I want to build a character with Dance lore.

Thanks, everyone. I'm looking forward to running PFS2, but I don't want to give up my old characters, some of whom are just reaching the really fun upper levels. My -01 character just made 9th level this weekend at a con. There's been a lot of interest in our local PFS community for playing both systems side-by-side for a while.
Has there been an official post about how long we will be able to continue to report PFS1 games after PFS2 launches? Even though I’ve been playing PFS since 2011, I had to take a few years off, so there’s a ton of great content out there for PFS I haven’t been able to play or run yet. Surely it, and all our PFS1 characters, won’t be obsolete overnight. Right?
Are there any errata for this one? Shared Prep didn't have anything.
Thanks. That's the way I read RAW, but I wanted to be sure.
Is the range for tracking weapons only used for the TL check, or does it also affect distance travelled? If I fire a missile with a range of 20 and a speed of 12, on the second turn do I only get 8 hexes of movement (20-12) or does the missile continue to get the full 12 hexes of movement during successive Gunnery Phases until it either hits the target or misses its targeting check? If it keeps going, as I suspect, does it automatically fail its targeting, and become "lost" as the CRB describes it, if the original target passes outside the 20 hex range?
maldar wrote: When will we be seeing a new one? Wondering the same thing. PFS guide was released yesterday. It can't be long now.
My FLGS is telling me this map pack is OOP. Are they just confused?
Thanks for linking the old thread. I was on my phone when I did the search for old discussions, and I missed it.
For the purposes of Society play, is cannibalism necessarily an evil act, or would it just be a cultural choice?

I've got this book and Ultimate Equipment. Is there anything in this book that didn't make it into UE? Have all the traits and feats been reprinted in newer books?
I'm building a Lawful Good human Monk from somewhere (undetermined) in Tian Xia. What are some good source books to pull from? I know Dragon Empires Gazetteer is probably necessary. What about some other sources? I'm especially interested in sources I can pull feats and equipment from that are Society legal, but for flavor I can pull from anything. What about sources specific to Lawful Good characters?
Oh, and I already have Ultimate Combat for crunch.
Thanks!

My players were also confused. They thought they were going to get to fight the Storm Prophet at the end.
Is it just me, or is the key missing from the list of treasure found at the well? When my players got to the dance stage, I had to retcon them finding a key.
