Ok, here I am back home, ready to finalize my character. But first, let the dice roll! Set 1
Set 2
EDIT: Nice, nice! First set it is = 15, 11, 14, 16, 10, 17.
Really like the plot hook, dotting for interest! Before submitting, can I ask a couple of questions? Is this homebrew or a module? If homebrew, is this set in Golarion? (I'm 100% fine either way, just asking for char background, like choosing gods and domains, Regional traits, etc...). Could you describe the town just a bit? I'd like to submit a local boy cleric/divine caster and wanted to know if there is a temple in town, maybe the name of a few prominent NPCs, etc... Oh, and thank you for choosing to GM! ;)
Dotting for interest. I've something in mind... But first a few tricky questions: how do you feel about arcane blasters? How about Words of Power? (usually GMs do a double take a this point!). If you are still with me, how about an often irreverent and mildly sarcastic fire blaster wordcaller adventuring in the lands of eternal ice? ;)
Oladon wrote: Sounds intriguing... I don't believe I've ever played in a group with a Diviner. Best thing about it, to be a "good diviner" you really need just a handful of feats, leaving you free to adapt your build to suit the party needs. Party needs more front line fighters? Go down the summoning line (Augment Summoning and so on). Party needs more stopping power? Take the right metamagic feats and go blaster route. More control? Well tons of options here, that's a given. The key is, whatever the party needs, the party gets in the very first round of combat, starting from lvl 1 ("Enlarged" fighter with reach, I'm looking at you!).

Or at least something along the lines - "do not take cavalier, only thing your horse might be good in this adventure is dinner", or some similar advice? I never personally run it, but what I gather from the official product page is that: the adventure will be full of undead, so plan accordingly!
I'd like to submit a concept for a character (based around the "Finding Haleen" Trait): Character Role:
Wizard Conjurer (possibly Genie Binder prestige class at higher levels) Battlefield controller/Support caster with a focus on summoning.
Ouside of combat lore skill monkey, utility caster (teleportations, divinations and so on) and even half-decent party face if needed!) Character Background:
Aisha never knew her parents, they died when she was too young. Since she can remember, it was her older sister Haleen who took care of her, and she is the only family she ever knew. Living in Katapesh wasn't easy for two young girls with no family, but thanks to Haleen they were able to get by. Over the years money was always tight, but they managed nontheless.
When, still a young girl, Aisha demonstrated an intuitive undestanding of the theory of magic, Haleen encouraged her to focus on her talent and develop her fledgling skills. while other wizards and sorcerers refined their art at the College of Dimensional Studies, she was forced to use scraped-by notes from a third-hand washed-out spellbook, but the young girl was intelligent and stubborn, and she managed to learn the rudiments of magic all on her own. Right when the now-of-age Aisha was planning on using her newly acquired skills to leave the city and earn herself and her sister a lucrative job on a traveling caravan, Haleen vanished without a word, except for a strange note asking Aisha to forget her, get on with her life, and especially not to follow her. Haleen sudden disappearence, the strange note... Knowing her sister would never leave just like that, Aisha convinced herself something happened to her sister, that maybe she was forced to leave, or even kidnapped. After years of depending on her sister, now it was time for her to protect Haleen. After more than a month of hectic search for clues, finally a reliable lead: a woman matching Haleen's description was seen in the vicinity of an old ghost town named Kalmarane. Looking for a way to get there as fast as she could, Aisha stumbled upon Garavel's advertisement for mercenaries to accompany him to that very region. She didn't waste time and applied for the job immediately. Hope you like her, I'd love to finally get to play in a Legacy of Fire game (never had the chance)!
Ok as anticipated before here I go: Katarina Tzvana:
Katarina never knew her parents, they died when she was too young to remember. The only thing she knows is that, for some reason, Koya Mvashti adopted her and cared for her as a loving mother would ever since. For her, she is just her mother, nothing more and nothing less about it, and she loves her deeply.
she spent her childhood in Sandpoint, and it was a very happy, if rather uneventful, period of her life. When she was a bit older, Koya started to bring her along in some of her caravan travels around Varisia, and she liked that immensely. In those travels, she saw many wonders of Varisia, remains of old monuments of the Thassilonian age, and she visited grand cities (they seemed grand and magnificent to her young and easily excited self at least) like Riddleport, Magnimar and Korvosa. It was indeed during her, to date, one and only visit of Korvosa that she met her destiny. A great parade was beign held in the city streets, to celebrate some kind of successful raiding expedition in a far away land. Between the precious items, the colourful silks and a few unfortunate slaves being marched in the street, there were a few odd small animals held in rusty iron cages to be shown for people amusement. Young Katarina gazed wide-eyed on the whole thing, and when the slow carriage with the small cages approached, she felt it. She would never be able to describe exactly what happaned in those few moments, but it changed her life forever. One of those strange little animals, laid down in it's cage with a sad expression in its eyes, suddenly bolted to his feet, turned towards the little girl and yelped loudly, with pure joy. Like a tidal wave, knowledge flowed in her mind, and her talent awoke. Koya, always the discerning woman, understood something happened in that moment and decided to buy the strange little animal for a few silvers as a pet for Katarina. But for the young girl it was much more that that, Caine (the name she chose for it) was now a part of her very being. Now almost of age, she aches for true adventure beyond the Varisian borders. Physical Description Young and pretty, she keeps her shiny black hair free to cascade behind her in long waves. Pale skin, hazel eyes and delicate features all add to her appearance. She stands just under 5 feet tall, and is quite sensitive about her height. She expecially hates negative comments about her stature, insults towards her family and friends, manifest misogyny and sensless acts of cruelty versus people or animals. she loves old stories and lore about forgotten lands and mysteries and sharing them with friends. Always eager to help others and explore new and exotic places, she would love nothing better than to live the adventurer's life, full of wonder and excitement... A vision perhaps a bit too naive about what a life on the road would be truly like, as her friends tend to point out from time to time. Class and Role:
Witch with a focus on control/buff/debuff. I can easily orient her to a more offensive or supportive role, as needed by the party.
I'll have a complete build asap.
EDIT: Spelling
Hi Everyone! I'd love to be able to take part in this game, hope there is still a spot for me. As for character concept, right now I'm thinking a support/controller with the Foster Child (Koya) trait. I can pull it off with either a divine caster (possibly a cleric of Desna, also the party Face if nobody else wants the spot) or an arcane caster (witch/wizard, and know-it-all knowledge master for the party), just tell me what is more needed / you like best Hu5tru. I already have a story background in mind, just waiting to know if what I said is ok with you to post it. Also just for Hu5tru: Wanted you to know that, while I have a fair experience playing d&d, and I have already played pathfinder, I have little experience playing PbP. I know how it works of course, just never really played that much online before. I promise I'll try my best not to turn this into a problem, and I fully intend to be as present as possible and post very regularly, but if you don't feel like bringing along a "newby" I understand, no hard feelings :).
Just tell me what you decide. |
