Seeing the struture damage in the stairwell, Telgan started to make some calculations. "That is going to take a bit of time to dig it out. For the time being, it is going to take way too long with what we have. " he said, going into the equipment and people needed to clear it out.

"Sorry, I have no idea what it is." Telgan said as he looked over the creature.

Profession-Archeologist: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

With the battle over, Telgan looked around the area. Seeing the crystals, he noted them but had no clue as to what they do. When he checked the computer console, the shape matched the crystals and he placed it in the depression.

When the computer fired up, the data made no sense to him. "Any idea what it is saying?" he asked

Telgan sent another laser beam towards the flying foe.

With the only remaining foe flying up in the air, Telgan took a shot at it.

With the path open, Telgan entered to room and drew a bead on the flying foe, sending a beam of laser fire in its direction.

Red: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 171d4 ⇒ 2

"Looks like diplomacy is not an option." Telgan said as he shot at the creature that was using Nalotrunos as a chew toy.

Laser at Blue: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 161d4 ⇒ 4

"Well, no use standing here, there is more of the place to check out. " Telgan said as he made his way into the room.

Not sure which room we are looking at but enter C6, C5, or C3 as needed

"No, that was the symbol associated with him if I remember right." Telgan said. "His followers would display a black winged horse as a symbol of their faith. He was a war god of the Tian-Xia area on Golarion. He was more of personal glory in battle. Organized Evil would be a good description."

"You have good eyes there Elian! I have seen a picture of that figurine before. He is General Susumu, also known as the "Black Daimyo", a deity from Golarion." Telgan said as he checked the aura for any trace of magic.

Telgan looked over the items. "Hopefully none of us will have to go playing in space but I have no real need for an EVA suit." he said.

Seeing the metal jaws snap at Nalotrunos' foot, Telgan took a look to see if there was a weak point to help free his foot.

"Well now, what have we here?" Telgan said as he looked things over. The markings seem to be the same as the datapad. "I can not make sense of it but I can see about making a copy and get someone to translate it when we get back." He said activating his computer.

"Sounds like that would be a good idea, after we take a break while we can." Telgan said. While the others took a break, he added some notes to his datapad.

"Sorry, no, I do not" Telgan replied to Elian's question.

"Stop Elian! Given the frail nature of the posters, we will need to carefully remove them from the wall. Here, let me show what we did for the dig at Rotgut Village" Telgan said, giving tips on how to carefully remove and preserve them as he started to record the process for documentation.

Seeing that the acid did not work and there did not seem to be an element that it might be vulnerable to, Telgan took another shot at it with his laser. The weapon caused a bit of damage.

"Let us try something else." Telgan said as he tried to remember what he knew about the creature.

Changing things up, Telgan let loose with a small bolt of acid at the creature.

Telgan, with not much to do, took a pot shot at the nearest foe.

"Strange, I have not seen anything like that before, and I use a hybridized laser pistol just to be safe." he said, tucking two of the bodies into his pack to be examined later while taking Kerathi's word as to there being wards on the doorways.

Drawing a bead on the creature, Telgan some how managed to light it up real good with the laser pistol as it started to smoke.

Sorry, laid out with a sinus infection. Not sure if it is bothered by being on fire.

Not used to combat, other than tossing a spell or two, Telgan popped a shot at the closer creature, only to burn a hole in the floor.

Giving himself some room to summon more energy, Telgan sent another blast of fire at the creature.

Telgan avoided the grenade blast and started moving closer towards the robot as he gathered energy around him. A wave of fire reached out towards the foe.

Telgan shrugged his shoulders, mimicking a behavior that he has seen humans do many times when asked a question that they do not know the answer. "Robots? Good question. Lets see what condition they are in." he said, while happy to map the ruins, tinkering with devices was more his style.

Telgan started to map the ruins when he notice that things were not quite right. "Hey the stone used in statues and the murals not native to Sansorgis, see the light dusting of quartz mixed in." he said, pointing to the statues.

Getting a good idea as to operate the arms, Telgan took another swipe at the gremlin, only to see it swing past the creature, not where he thought it was.

Turning to the terminal in front of him, Telgan typed in a command and used the manipulator arm to try taking a swipe at it.

Telgan caught the gremlin heading his way out the corner of his eye and started to absorb the energy from the equipment, sending a wave of fire at it as he drew his laser pistol.

"On the count of 3. 3, 2, 1" Telgan said towards Kerathi as he got ready to take care of the computer terminal.

Telgan nodded at the potential dangers in the area and waht was needed to be done in order to fix the problem. "I can help assist any of those areas." Telgan said. "Given the cramped area near the terminals, looks like only two of us can access it. Kerathi, you are very good in both of those areas, I would suggest that you take care of the engineering terminal and I can be here at the computer terminal with Elian." he said.

Telgan joined Zarzucket 3 in checking the sensors but was not able to find anything of interest as the ship landed.

Meeting Chief Engineer Kerchatu, he exchanged a few engineering jokes and got to business. "Well now, a delete and reinstall will take to long to do. Have you tried...?" he asked, tinkering with a few commands to gain access to the bios.

Seeing the forward shield get knocked out, Telgan worked at trying to get it working again. "Um, the shields took a serious hit there Captain! Looks like something got knocked loose! the Engineer shouted over his shoulder.

Telgan pondered for a moment as to what power he could divert from the engine to help increase thrust, the engineer flipped a switch to turn off the lights in the galley.

Telgan looked at the sensors and seeing no serious damage that needed his attention, he kept tweaking the engines, trying to make sure they do not fail at the worse possible time.

I would qualify as a newbie as the last time I played Starfinder was 6 years ago when it came out.

No problem with taking Engineering or as the Science Officer.

"Where do you want me?" Telgan asked.

"Then we might want to get everyone into their positions in case they start shooting." Telgan said.

Making sure that the communication system was not transmitting, Telgan shrugged his shoulders as he looked at the rest of the group. "Looks like we will have to make a run for it if we want go get to the planet. I would suggest that we use the Proton Storm to help protect us from any tracking weapons. Maybe run parallel to them?" he suggested.

"Captain Odrakor is it? I am Professor Telgan of Insert name of cover. What is your first name good sir so that I can include it for the Journal of Xenoarchology, also the name of your commander please. We are here to catalog the ruins on Sansorgis as quickly as possible before there are any mishaps with missiles or such that wipes them out. I want to make sure if we are prevented from doing our job, that the proper person be tried for war crimes." Telgan said as he started to quote the specific rule of warfare that applied to antiquities and ancient sites.
