"Don't suppose any of you boys play dice?" He grins at his own comment but doesn't enter, opting to let those more adjusted to finding traps lead the way.

Tarbin takes a step to the side so that Aldy can 5-foot step into flanking the purple goblin, then thrusts his spear forward through the pantleg of the Goblin, attempting to entangle him in his own trousers! Dirty Trick, Entangle: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Only, of course, if Aldy so desires. It will leave him flanked as well.

Flanking from CRB:
When making a melee attack, you get a +2 flanking bonus if your opponent is threatened by another enemy character or creature on its opposite border or opposite corner.
When in doubt about whether two characters flank an opponent in the middle, trace an imaginary line between the two attackers’ centers. If the line passes through opposite borders of the opponent’s space (including corners of those borders), then the opponent is flanked. I believed I was flanking because when a line is drawn from the center of my square to the other, it passes from the exact top left corner of the square, and ends 3/4 of the way up on the opposite side. But as always it's GM call, not trying to start trouble or anything!

Tarbin dashes into the main room, twirling his Longspear as he does. With a flourish he slides behind Brand, his spear nimbly ducking under the dwarf's arm and thrusting at the Goblin commander, attempting to slice him above the brow to force blood into his eyes. Dirty Trick, Blind: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Dirty Trick Stuff:
Cover actually doesn't give a bonus to CMD, so there's no penalty to attacking from behind Brand. On success he's blinded his next round, and 1 additional round for every 5 I beat the CMD. He can take a move action to remove the effect. Maneuvers specifically only trigger AoO from the target, so no AoO from the other Gobbo.
Blinded:The creature cannot see. It takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class, loses its Dexterity bonus to AC (if any), and takes a –4 penalty on most Strength– and Dexterity-based skill checks and on opposed Perception skill checks. All checks and activities that rely on vision (such as reading and Perception checks based on sight) automatically fail. All opponents are considered to have total concealment (50% miss chance) against the blinded character. Blind creatures must make a DC 10 Acrobatics skill check to move faster than half speed.
"Now, while he can't see!"

Teeva only has 11 health, so having taken 12 damage, 2 of those would have gone to Tarbin via Life Link. So at the moment he has 2 damage and all damage to Teeva will go to him for the rest of today. Tarbin casts Mage Armor on Teeva and maintains his position, preparing a Dirty Trick to blind the Goblin in front of Teeva, should he move. Dirty Trick AoO, Blind: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

While Teeva looks at the wound, Tarbin joins her. The pair whisper back and forth to each other for a moment before continuing and joining the rest of the group. "Teeva here has Darkvision, so if Aldy is scouting in one direction, I'll keep Teeva on the other to prevent an ambush."

Sorry about the delay! Work and a project here on Paizo had me wrapped up, for some reason didn't notice Brand had went already, I wanted to wait before having Teeva go again.

Yeesh, those enemy dice really don't like me huh. Tarbin moves up and attempts to get into position for a Dirty Trick, but realizes there isn't enough room for him. Running next to Teeva he mutters, "Better work this damn time..." He raises his hand and glares at the goblin again, casting Daze. Will Save 15 or be Dazed for 1 Round.

Tarbin takes several steps forward but is careful to leave sufficient room for Teeva and the others to advance. Once in position he narrows his eyes at the Goblin and whispers, "No." Casting Daze, Will Save 15 to Negate or be dazed for 1 round.

Tarbin follows Brand, chatting nonchalantly with various members of the party as they traveled. Teeva remained relatively quiet throughout the walk, seeming to be quite intrigued by her surroundings. When they reach the foot of the Spire, there's a grin across the Gnome's eager face. "That's the smell of adventure, Brand."

As a character with 0xp, and since we haven't hit the PFS section of the module yet, is it too late for me to make a minor change to Tarbin? I'd like to switch his level 1 FCB over to Skill Point, take a point of Profession, and have a day job. I realize giving up a point of HP for a day job is silly, but no self-respecting Gnome should be jobless!

Back at the barracks, Tarbin is just finishing his gear check and tossing his backpack to Teeva. "Not much yet, but should be enough to hold us over." From his belongings he draws a Longspear, an intricately carved weapon, albeit clearly of simple origins. It appears to be more sentimental than powerful. Tarbin gives it a few practice swings. "Hrn, hyah!" Those well versed in even the most basic fighting can see that he wields the weapon in a bizarre manner, his hand clutching the spear near the base rather than the middle, and maneuvering the weapon with his wrist rather than his hip and shoulder.

Tarbin gives the Lady a low, sweeping bow. "But of course my Lady, the business of your town is no business of ours. We're here for the Spire and nothing more." He nods at the various trophies around the room, admiring them with a broad smile. "A truly magnificent collection, and doubly imposing. A lady must be truly powerful to accrue such impressive trophies." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 He turns on his heel, facing the commander again. "We're not here to cause you any trouble, Lady Commander. I'm sure we can keep this situation as pleasant for each other as possible."

Tarbin bursts into a hearty laugh, the kind you'd expect more from a dwarf than a gnome. "She's a Kyton, lad." He reaches back over his head, giving one of her piercings a flick. "They're artists of the flesh who thrive on body modification and masochism, I assure you she's feeling quite alright." Tarbin accepts Volar's offer and the pair of new arrival joins the rest of the party by the fire. Despite the clear approximate warmth of the flames, Teeva's breaths are still cloudy.

From up the road a lone mule pulling a makeshift carriage stamped with the Glyph of the Open Road makes its way toward the camp, trudging along at a forced march. Shortly after the carriage arrives and finally comes to a halt, rustling and muffled voices can begin to be heard inside. "Make yourself decent Teeva, I do believe we've finally caught up with our new friends." After a second or two longer the pale thin sheets covering the side of the cabin separate and from them emerges a short, stout gnome with a groomed mustache and a head of thick brown hair. He steps proudly down to the ground, carrying himself like a noble but wearing the smile of a rascal. Without waiting for an invitation to introduce himself he begins. "Terribly sorry about our late arrival, it seems we're here in the stead of an otherwise occupied Agent. Although in truth I can't say I mind arriving fashionably late." He rolls the sleeves of his orange and yellow tunic up and offers a hand forward in introduction. "Tarbin Kindlemoar, a pleasure to make your collective acquaintance. And speaking of late entrances, he says as he turns to face his cart, "Teeva, are you quite ready to join us?" With a wink to the rest of the group he whispers, "Try not to let her appearance unsettle you. I promise she's a little puppy dog at heart."
Saw the post in recruitment, I've got a character I'd like to take if he fits. Tarbin here is an Unsummoner who covers a decent number of bases, but doesn't cover the trapfinding need. He can cast Grease and Silent Image as SLA's in addition to the buffs usually reserved for the Eidolon (though he has 3 castings a day, so with his Eidolon Mage Armored the 2 castings of Enlarge Person are free to be divvied out). He himself is built around using Dirty Trick at reach with his Longspear (no bonus to CMD from Cover, so he uses it from behind his allies), so he doesn't relegate himself to cantrip/crossbow duty. Teeva is built as a decent Two-Handed Weapon Fighter and can hit pretty hard and accurately. Flavor wise, it's a Gnome with his Kyton Eidolon. Here is his Eidolon, Teeva. I can cover Heal Checks, Disable Device Checks, and UMD checks, but that's about the extent of my Skill Monkeying (Besides a +5 to Face Skills, which I don't see getting much use in a Superdungeon). There's also the bonus of being able to make 2 Perception Checks. Only level 1 so there's only so much I could do. I'd love to tag along if the character would be a decent aid. If there's a better or more appropriate fit, I don't mind letting someone else in. Fresh at 0xp, so I don't have the advantage of coming in with wands or anything. I'm happy to play on Slow progression to play the proper floors.
