My party named the Man's Promise the Grindilow Hunter, by the captains orders The second ship they got, I was allowed control of it, and it was first named the Drunken Hippo, but due to the GM allowing us to RP with the NPC's alot, my characters friendship with Owlbear and relationship with Sandra caused me to rename it Sandra's Owlbear

Who are the only ones getting food even though the food we have only lasts a week and we are half way through it. We didn't think to send more people so we could get another week's worth of food in the same time it would take 2 people to get half a week's worth of food. Yup they have done nothing noteworthy.

Tal and ttt: Sorry Sersass. My friend here, is a catfolk. He doesn't understand the nature of races such as ours who pride our empires, our lands, and our pride as a race. While the empires of the hobgoblins were never as large or majestic as that of the Yuan-ti, I do understand the pain of leaving your land. We are going to go back to our own land, but I do not want to leave you. Please come with us. I plan to head back this way every few days, for hunting and scouting. If you join me, we could make sure this area stays in tact. Stays cared for by your hands, which I hate to say, cannot be done if the giants kill you to. and I would not want that to happen.

TTT and Tal: Yuan-ti? I heard you had a grand empire. The Giants? He will then move over to stand next to Tal, and whisper to him. Do you think we could get this on our side. I know they are powerful.

Third day hunting:
Tal and Rose: Tagolan spends the entire day hunting, right to the end. He manages to catch a dozen rats, and finds many edible mushrooms. He also finds the den of the wolverines, catching and killing two more.

Going five days into the tunnels, five days back, and I just realized that may be too long. shortening the trip to five days. so 2 1/2 days in to the tunnels that head east. for hunting. I would go more if there wasn't such a pressing need for food. For 1 food point. Will need more people to do a five day 2 fp hunt, so we can begin to explore. Also I finally made a full proposition for the Ranger Corps. In it includes stat blocks, so If Rose and TTT please look at it and let me know if I need to fix anything.
Thanks to Jalele pointing out a flaw in that, lets just get more hunters, so we can do the two food point expedition in five days when Talirin and I get back. Then do the same a few more times before launching a real expedition.

Ok So Just a note, I did pass out the fifteen daggers before I left for hunting, and didn't see Benny's post so I am just clarifying it now. So if anyone is creating an armory list Those are there, if not, I could write down our armory. Edit: Added the Campaign armory to my alias. Here is the list.
15 Daggers
This does not include PC gear, nor does it include any armor as I have not found reason to believe that anyone but the PC's have armor, please correct me if I am wrong, or if I am missing anything

Tal: I'll help you remove her. And you are right on the waiting for candidates. Maybe better to get willing people for the Rangers. Still It won't hurt to set it up. I was also thinking specialized mounts for traveling. Raise them to only let people on who speak a certain word. Would help with scouting and hunting.
Tagolan smiles, cutting up the Wolverine. He starts a small fire, using the cloth from the snakemen, and a few bits of wood he snagged before leaving. I'm sure we will find another. Besides we will be hunting for ten days. Have to do something in between the rations. He says, making two shish kabobs with the Wolverine meat and mushrooms. He holds one over the fire, and passes the other to Tal. Now, I trust you, and I ask because between me and you, we could whip these apprentices into good solid hunters and scouts. Who knows we may even become a big thing. Also, you are one of the few people who hasn't judged me because of my race. And are an amazing hunting partner. Now the mount idea came from Benny really. When he began to talk about horses, I thought having mounts would be nice, but we don't know if there are horses anymore. I did read about Lizards that have been used by mounts, though those are from tales about drow. If we could snag ourselves some of these Lizards, and raise them to only allow people on who say a certain word or phrase, then we have unstealable mounts. Just my thoughts

Well Jalel, Tal and I will be gone for 10 days. Unless he heads back sooner. Then we will be training the beginning of the ranger corps, by taking them out hunting and teaching them the real skills. So I guess that is some time where in you don't have to worry about us interfering with your plan. Granted that is some time where you have to look over our shoulder incase Rose becomes a hero to the populace.

Rat slayer? I got a wolverine. And about a dozen mushrooms, that I can recognize as safe to eat. I was thinking of making wolverine steak. Had it once before. Its a bit grainy, but should be good. As for Pig, I think I might have had it once back before the fog. Not sure though.
Rose is hard to figure out. Never really trusted leaders, prefer to be on my own or in a small group. Say, Talirin. I had an idea for a kind of hunter-soldier hybrid. I'm thinking of calling it the Ranger Corps. It would be a small group, who specialize in stealth, hunting, and can fight well. Would be good for scouting ahead, and aiding our hunts. I was thinking, teaching em the bow, and perhaps you could teach em to dual wield. Teach em to scout and all when we get back. Small group, probably master and apprentice style. Would you be interested in helping me set this up?

Tagolan during the second day notices that Talirin seems to also be moving like him and to the rats they are invisible. Two days of such invisible movement? No one is that good. What is new though. It's the Staff. It must make us invisible! But then why affect two people. no we just must be good, but when we come back having been so amazing, I need to figure out what this staff does.

On the second day of his hunt, with Tal I assume Tagolan finds plenty of rats, and even runs afoul of a sleeping wolverine, which Tagolan kills for the meat, lamenting the loss of a noble beast. stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31 Twice now the staff has made me invisible.

If we can find horses then yes. If not then no. The Ranger gear, the cloak, the symbol, and such I leave up to you since this is your fighting force. But The Two weapon fighting, bow skills, and Horses are all what I hope can work for these Rangers.

Ok so went through and did as much research into the Ranger group from the Ranger's Apprentice series, and running this idea by for the possibility of a "ranger" division: In the series there were fifty rangers, each with a possible apprentice making a max of one hundred active rangers at a time. I understand this is very much a stretch for us currently, so I was figuring a master apprentice system starting with me and Tal, if Tal would be interested. Considering each, or each pair, of rangers watched over a particular fief at a time, and we have our cavern that would likely be improbable for us. For this small division I figure stealth, and information gathering would be as important as hand to hand combat. I also believe that the Ranger force should be scouts, and possibly hunters as well, so they should know how to track, and find there way around a place. As for gear, bows are more or less a necessity, and I don't expect them to hold their own against say, a soldier in melee. Though they should have some melee training. Just my idea.

Tagolan will for now use the staff as a walking stick, and begins to scout on his own, letting Rose know before he left. stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17

Missed a lot I guess. Thank you for the aid Brennus. Tagolan watches in awe as the tunnel collapses. Then will proceed to announce to everyone he found fifteen daggers, so the weapon supply has gone up, or they could be used to melt down and build other weapons. He decides to take a closer look at the staff, but decides that he needs some kind of magic to figure out if it is magic. Not quite trusting the sorcerer who wanted to be duke, he asks Rodia and Brennus if they know how to identify a possibly magic item. After he is done trying to learn about the staff, he goes around, asking anyone if they will go hunting with him.

I have a plan! he shouts, and begins to drag the snakemen bodies over to the entrance. I need help. We need to make a wall of bodies. The get guards to watch this area, unless we decide to blow it up.

They are all dead! I checked. Got a cool looking staff off one of them. And some nice daggers. I'll spread the daggers around. They have kinda been eviscerated. I can stab them all again if you'd like Spellcraft to attempt to identify the staff, if it is magical.: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Brennus! Rose! The Fog has gotten into this Cavern. We have maybe ten minutes to come up with a plan to deal with it. My best idea is blow up the tunnel entrance to this cavern, yes the tunnel you are in, to top the fog from reaching the general populace. There are fifty dead snake men, and I did the math. Its not enough to block the hole from the surface! Final dumb question could we make a wall of bodies using the snake men to block the entrance from the tunnel 300 style, and then build a wall there or would that be pointless?
Male Hobgoblin 39/39 hp; 15 AC 15; Fort +6; Ref +6; Will +2; BAB+3; CMD 18; CMB +5; Init +5 Ranger [Shape Shifter] 3
ttt and tal: Here are a few questions.Just ball parking exactly the danger. Could we pull a George Washington at Valley Forge, and inoculate our people to the fog? Is it like the Mists in the Mistborn Trilogy so that only certain people are affected? Is there a known magical way to deal with it? Approximately how long until it reaches Talirin and I? Does this staff have any way to counter the mist because I and my character would probably swing it about hoping something good would happen. On a scale of 1-Dead how dead are we if we can't find a solution?
Male Hobgoblin 39/39 hp; 15 AC 15; Fort +6; Ref +6; Will +2; BAB+3; CMD 18; CMB +5; Init +5 Ranger [Shape Shifter] 3
Tal and TTT: Tagolan puts the knives in his backpack, ties the cloth around his nose and mouth, and grabs the staff. This looks awesome. I'll take it. Odds are I can't use it if it has magic, but I'll carry it around until we find out what it does. he says. Could we plug the hole with the fifty bodies? Could smoke drive away the fog? How much does the cloth covering actually help? Is there anything we know about the fog, or is this like Attack on Titan where we know nothing?
