Thanks for running! I also tried to suggest convincing Happ to stay, but Tabris isn't noble enough to press the argument that they will all get killed without protection. If they foolishly die in the jungle, it's their own fault. It's funny how crits come into play in taking the beast out, as a greataxe crit and flailing eidolon was necessary to do it in my latest run. Focused fire would likely have taken the eidolon out, but the golem is a bit distracting so I don't feel too bad about it.

I had a 75% kill rate on this one until my brother brought his APG eidolon to it. :)

Leaning against the wall, Tabris allows himself to slide down to sit against it. "I desire a great feast when we return. Perhaps with more of that delicious fruit."

"With the blessings of the goddess, we have triumphed." Tabris rumbles, letting the flail slip from his finger to clatter on the floor. He breathes deep, exhaling slowly as the adrenaline fades and fatigue sets in. "You should prepare to depart, so the Society may hear our report."

Unfortunately not, outside of 30ft. Tabris has some other options however.

Stepping back, Tabris prays over his pendant, black energy bursting again.

Finally able to breath easier, he calls out. "Dylph, bring the disc here, and steel your nerves for one last rush."

Giovanni, you should get up against the wall, being the sole target sucks. ;)

Hissing in pain at the heavy slam, black energy pulses from the fly symbol around his neck, easing the bruises from the blow.

Definitely don't need Magic Weapon in this fight! I also just realized that Tabris is the best one to take Slitherbane since he's immune to the negative level it inflicts on non-lawful characters.

Tabris takes a mighty swing, hoping to find any purchase on the things scales. "Fine! I am coming, Giovanni!" Seeing the result, he drops the scythe and stomps towards the door, drawing the flail named a foe to the beast. "Free my allies, ancient one!" he commands the spirit within, unsure of the futility of the action.

Tabris has a trick up his sleeve on top of better survivability than Nigel. Plus, if Nigel goes we lose Christina as well. Let's see how things progress.

Hefting his scythe, Tabris moves to interpose himself between the door and the eidolon.

I'm not sure about the timing on this door breaking down, but I'd love to buff someone before it breaks.

It seems Tabris is the only one of us that will benefit from it in combat. Easy enough.

"I prepared a prayer of just such strength for myself. Do not concern yourself with me. We may have little time to spare." Tabris stares at the mosaic for long moments before shaking his head. "I have no mind for puzzles. I leave the placement to you."

Tabris returns to his normal size over the next few minutes, moving to join the party in the hall. Watching the enormous construct continue its work, he rubs at his eyes in relief.

Tabris takes the proffered mask and loops it over his head. "Goddess, may you smile on me for this coming fight." he prays quietly.

Ergh, hope that is enough. I'll save the reroll. No problem about the charges, they are meant to be used.

Picking up his now medium sized scythe from the floor as well as the disc, Tabris stands slowly. "Then we should prepare for a battle." he replies in agreement, tucking the disc away in his pack. "Giovanni, you should be at full strength when the battle arrives. Have someone heal you with this." He produces a wand and holds it out for anyone to grab.

Forgot Tabris had the wand of lesser restoration, my bad.

"I saw a serpent. A massive serpent, bigger than a giant. It struck a cyclops in the eye, and we saw no more." Tabris answers, pulling his feet beneath him, crouching with his back against the shelving of the room. "Even with my sight, I would be no match for that beast."

Doubling over, Tabris gingerly places the disc on the floor. "Goddess preserve me." he mutters, feeling for the shelves to lower himself to the floor. "Priestess! I am blinded by the spirits here." he calls out.

"HAUNT!" Tabris roars, feeling the ill effects strike!

Tabris is okay with going alone if Dylph wants to cover him from the doorway.

"It seems beyond both of our knowledges. If no one else has use of it, I will carry it."

"There is another of the discs they sought." Moving into the room, he adds "I will fetch it."

Tabris peers into the room curiously. Is it dark enough to thwart darkvision?

With Giovanni out of danger for the moment, Tabris turns his attention to the weapon.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Shrugging, he picks up the flail and stomps after Giovanni, glad for the wide hallways.

Tabris will continue to aid Giovanni's saves, taking 10 for 18 on the Heal check if that is enough or rolling as needed.

"Contrary to lore, sucking out the poison will not help." Tabris rumbles, attempting to treat the wound and help Giovanni recover.

Ignoring the burn of the fangs, Tabris swings his scythe down on the remaining serpent again. His teeth clack hard on empty space as he snaps at it in rage.

Tabris hisses as the venom strikes his veins, turning the pain into fury as he whirls on the second. As the scythe passes, he snaps his misshapen jaw at one of the necks as well!

The crystal pendant flares as the healing energy is converted, soothing the fang wounds the beast inflicted.

Seeing the far serpent delayed, Tabris rolls his arm into an underhanded throw. The scythe spins through the air at scaled menace, the blade failing to cut through flesh before it flies back to the dhampir's hand. As the transmutation takes hold, Tabris bares his yellowed teeth at the snake menacing Goode.

Scythe on Red: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Scythe Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9

Move up and attack red, then using the enlarge spell to get close to green.

Tabris will GLADLY accept becoming an avatar of Gorum for this fight if no one else needs it. :)

Tabris taps the butt of his scythe on the stone floor as he follows. "We will have little else to deal with but the construct if these rooms remain so simple."

Likewise, I’m trying not to push us through too fast. The series of mostly empty rooms does make for a rapid burst of progress however.

"A useful tool for us then. The Society will be pleased to have it." Tabris growls, watching the hallway for other dangers.

Tabris joins in the analysis as best he can, renewing his own divination magic.

Aid Another Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 If we can't aid on Spellcraft then it'll be a second attempt. Edit: Well of course.

"I feel nothing but refreshed." Tabris answers, staring at the clear water. "There is an aura upon it however."

With a word, Tabris detects for magic before turning to the party. "Have any of you divinations for poison? If not, I will be the tester." Assuming no one does, Tabris will drink deeply, resisting the urge to lap directly at the pool so as to not hog it for himself.

"There is the door that the titan is not assaulting, or the hall to the far end of the temple. Either way, I feel a thirst." Tabris looks to Arletta. "Is the fountain in the hall potable? No enchantments over it?"

"Hrm." Tabris clears his throat, seeming to ponder her words. The he looks up and speaks words of magic.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

"Bah! It is beyond my knowledge, but it IS magic of some sort." he grumbles.

"This spirit, how did it command you and the others?" Tabris watches Giovanni's ascent and thinks better of following after.

"....brainworms?" Tabris asks after some thought.

"Snakes? They make for good meals when needed." Tabris rumbles, his ragged and uneven grimace of a grin returning at the mention of the hydra.
