Ok, lots has happened, so i am going to do a quick recap of what happened and run it by you.
Also, I had wondered what would happen when that counter hit zero XD
Recap
#1) I charge a coacodaemon but miss and hit a pillar BOINK! XD it was the squirrels fault!
#2) I get blinded/deafened/stunned for a round, aka screwed...
#3) I get my moment of shining glory as i swan-dive into the depths below...
#4) My initiative is now 17 aka essentially the same as 2/3rds of everyone. How did you manage that??
#5) We all land in? Beside? The giant pool of blood? for some reason i recall hearing that this was something like 140ft away from the messa. I think it was when Jakk was chucked into it? Confirm/deny this? Now how far away are we from the meditating goblins below?
#6) EARTHQUAKE!!!
#7) Everyone gets a super-heal.
#8) Some dead creatures revive, probably reincarnate, as different creatures. The Coacodeamons transform into necromatic lightning elementals :p
Ok. I think thats everything :)
I think once i get an answer to #5, i know what i am going to be doing :)

As Stone is ejected off of the messa, there is only one thought in his mind...
Billow cape! Billow cape!!
not that it would help him at all at this distance, but at least now he would fall Majestically. His Regalia Device visible for all to see...
And now i fall like a stone :)
This will most likely be a double post as i process the massive and sudden changes :)
Extra question, did i lose my chance to get a wish from the Burninator? :(

Stone was quite aware that his assassination attempt was a failure. The thing was still moving after all, which was odd. He was sure that that would work, but now his allies were yelling at him to switch targets so he would have to put that puzzle aside for now. Instead, he focused on one of the cute little balls of teeth in front of him. Then he had an idea! If he could capture one, it would make for a great playmate for the squirrels in his head! With that thought, he signals the others Guyz ima going to captured dis one! No shooting it!
Then, almost as an afterthought, No shooting me eitherz!
Then Stone hops off of Vitrious and charges the nearest Cocaodeamon, screami.g his title as he goes... He doesnt get nearly through with it by the time he hits his target...
In the name of Her Bigness, High Command, Emergency-General Amita Narahari as well as The-One-Who-Bestow....
Then he smashes into the Cocaodaemon, shield-crossbow to the front...

Well i didnt specifically "wish" for anything i had hoped that my attempted assassination of the Burninator or me yelling out "In the protection of my friends!" would have been enough to get his attention and work in that regards.

Stone was shaken. Not so much from being scared (he has had way to much mucking about in his head to truly grasp a concept like fear) so much as he was physically shaken from the raw buffeting of the larger creature and the movements of Vitirous.
Still, he had finished his mission: Jakk was well and thourally dead, the ball of teeth that was most threatening to Layla (if not the closest, dont ask how he got to that conclusion :p The other one just pissed him off...) was slain.
New Order: The giant firey thing was harming his minions, ah, allies! His Dwarf Paladin code compells him to protect them!
potentally suicidal action here... Hope it works out for the best ^_^ Sense Motive:1d20 - 3 ⇒ (8) - 3 = 5
Stone rears up to his full (short) height bolstered by his dwarfy hemet and shreaks at the Burnator By my Dwarven Paladins Code, the Squirrels Nuts, and my Pappys Nuts and my Grand-Pappys Nuts before him I smite thee in protection of my comrades and in full athourity of High Command, Emergency-General Amita Narahari as well as The-One-Who-Bestowed-My-Title, Rainbow the Wierd Thing... big breath... Ah hell..
And with that, he cocks his crossbow, takes aim and screams

Oh, 2 more things.
If you have to bot my character (and it has happened twice -_-) his default action is to double attack with the following statline:
Heavy Crossbow +2/+2 (1d8 19/20/x2) blocking, deadly, brace, distracting, disarm, double
+1/+1 Point Blank Shot, +0/+2 Oppertune Strike
:
"Blocking": When you use this weapon to fight defensively, you gain a +1 shield bonus to AC.
"Deadly": When you use this weapon to deliver a coup de grace, it gains a +4 bonus to damage when calculating the DC of the Fortitude saving throw to see whether the target of the coup de grace dies from the attack. The bonus is not added to the actual damage of the coup de grace attack.
"Disarm": When you use a disarm weapon, you get a +2 bonus on Combat Maneuver
Checks to disarm an enemy.
"Distracting": You gain a +2 bonus on Bluff skill checks to feint in combat while wielding this weapon.
"Double": You can use a double weapon to fight as if fighting with two weapons, but if you do, you incur all the normal attack penalties associated with fighting with two weapons, just as if you were using a one-handed weapon and a light weapon. You can choose to wield one end of a double weapon two-handed, but it cannot be used as a double weapon when wielded in this way—only one end of the weapon can be used in any given round.

i misses this ^_^
I was also hoping SOMEBODY would think to chuck the head off the mesa >.> i was thinking i was going to have attempt to shoot it off...

We killed him twice ^v^
I wonder how many more times we can kill him >:D
Who's frosty?
Stone continues to talk to himself gleefully as he peeks over the snake hide at Jakk.
Hehehe! Right in the eye. How do you like THAT!? Still standing tho. That just means I get to shoot you more. Remember the knives and sharp things before? Well now I get to knives and sharp things YOU!

with singleminded lethality Stone tunes out all other distractions as the moment of his kill comes near. Apparently messing with someones brain can give them quite the astonishing focus for their given task.
Stone waits...
20...15...10...
Then he lets fly!
Surprise Round, Initiative 11:
Initiative:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
As a standard action Stone will shoot his crossbow for an assassination attempt.
To hit:1d20 + 10 + 20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 20 + 1 = 44 +20: true strike, +1: Point Blank Shot Damage:2d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4, 4) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 14 +DC 17 or be slain +2: oppertune strike, +1: point blank shot
After firing the shot Stone will duck back down among the scales, hiding again.
Re-stealthing:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Almost before he can confirm he hit his mark (To hit: 44, 14 damage, DC 17 Fort save or die), Stone has already ducked behind Vitreous's hide and hidden from sight. (13 stealth check vs opposed perception check) I got you. You are not getting away from me! Hehehehe!!! The squirrels will be happy!
Filters over the network in a happily murderious voice...

Sunny, you should be on the back of Vitreious with the majority of us.
I am going to post a few actions for stone to take as he is going to attempt to set up a chain of actions. Perception:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Stone realizes that his target is some sort of hybird goblin, but more importiantly he can see his target, and has a good line of fire to it. When the new creature lands on the flying dragon, Stone snaps his crossbow towards him, before trailing it back towards his target. I have my orders... Priestist dies first, protect Layla... Hey Psi-Dish, welcome :)
Stone has determined you are not his target, but PLEASE dont do anything to Layla, Stone has been ordered to protect her, and i dont want to send a true-striked assassination bolt your way :S i really, really dont...
Stone seems to almost vanish from view as he expertly hides among the scales of Viterious, with his eye always trained on the bloatfly
Stealth check with Hide in Plain Sight:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23(23+distance modifiers)
And he also studies his target carefully... setting up an assassinate attempt
Next (if he has time) he pulls out a potion of true strike strike, drinks it, and waits...
so first ill stealth and study the target (standard action), then ill draw and drink a potion (move and standard action) then ill wait (readied action, triggers are: i hear the telepathic signal, Layla becomes visible or Psi-Dish threatens Layla)
As this is going on, all of you can hear a creepy, low pitched drone over the telepathic network
... Come here little target... Dwarfy has a surprise for you! You hurt the little squirrels, dwarfy hurt you!! And i know just where to put the bolt... he then goes on to describe, in great detail, the exact anatomical position he will shoot, the exact gory results and how the squirrels will rejoice... It seems he still hasnt mastered keeping his subconcious thoughts out of the network yet... Creepy...
Man! Posting ofline is harsh :(
Hope i get internet back soon!

Sorry for the formatting nightmare that was my last post. Apparently i was REALLY tired...
Also, post attempt #2!! Of course i remember! I was with the squirrels and dancing in the green meadows... Then i woke up.
Another world? Any chance its the world of the Squirrels? No?
Stone sounds hopeful, then a little dejected..
Of course i know who Vitimus the dragon is! and why would you need to introduce the others? Of course they have been with us from the start and of course i know who they are. I remember! ... Clearly his memory is not to be trusted...
Then Rainbow addresses Stone...
Ma'am yes Ma'am! I will protect her with my life! And my crossbow... he adds, almost with an afterthought. Over the next several minutes you all can hear a giddy goblin over the network.

Ok. I figure a post before i attempt to level up my dwarfish goblin :)
Few things. I supposedly knocked myself out headbutting a door but i cannot seem to find it. As such i am assuming that i am waking up next to ooze, the donkey and the now-scally Vitimus?
Ok. That is where i am starting off at :)
Stone felt... Something. Stone felt stone. Hard cold stone and scally dragonflesh.
Fully coming too, he pushes hard against Vitimus-the-snake with a snarky Hey! Watch it there! You are squishing this Knightly Dwarven Paladin! By decree of her lordship, Queen Elisibe.., wait, High Command, Emergency-General Amita Narahari, i order you to MOVE!
With tgat last bit of effort, stone gives a heave and frees himself from the clutches of stone and scale.
[i]Theres a dragon here. Yup, perfectly normal. Wait, did the party grow bigger? Nope! I am abdolutely sure that we had exactly the same amount of people as we left with. And a dragon. Perfectly well-to-do.
Oh, plus 1.[/b]
As he looks over and spots the unconcous goblin beside him.
Then, as he leans against the "snake-dragon" for support
[i]something seems amiss here... I cant quite put my finger on it... NOPE! Everythings perfectly normal! No sharp claws or needles or... Or... Squirrels! We were heading to the tower of lovely fluffy squirrels :)[i]
Then outloud, Yup. Everything is good and in order!
Not that any of you guys would understand the meaning of the statement...

Hello guys! I was playing with you guys at the start of the campaign but had dropped out, so sorry for that firstly :(
However, your generious GM has invited me back into the game to continue playing Stone :)
Now I am still trying to wrap my head around what's happening in the last bit, I have been reading the last 75 or so posts trying to get my bearings... its a novel :S
Good news is Stone has always been a bit touched in the head, and just rendered himself uncouncious by headbutting a door, so I can cop out a bit as memory loss while I immerse myself in the game, until I am up to speed.
Oh ya, I got to level up to 3rd level :)
Are you guys ok with me coming back in?
So here is the crunch for Joseph Bonkers submission. Still working on the fluff, but i might as well get this down now :)
I still got 1 feat and trait to spend bu i am unable to download the handbook to my tablet, so that has to wait till i get to the library tomorrow. Otherwise, crunch should be done (60gp is easy to spend >.>)
You know, one of these days ill actually get a character for the mad scientist, joseph Bonkers up :)
Wait... This is a technology world... Hmmm...
Edit. Whops. Wrong alias.

any chance you can tell me what my rather decent perception check from my vantage point might incur?
Also, is it bad that i really want Stone to go dancing in the rain, just to see what the RNG would have in store for him? Would it help knowing that he has Perform: Stripdancing?

Ho hum. Ho Hum! On we go, Gob Smash One!
Stone then spurs Stone the donkey onwards ever fasterand straight towards the tower, more intent on climbing it rather than any destination once he gets to the top...
Climb check:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
While still trying to maintain a degree of stealth
stealth:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Only once he has climbed up a ways (and not very quietly) will he look around him to see wher he is an where he is supposed to be headed

Gahhh! I got so left behind sorry folks!
Btw I read everything. Dang OCD >.>
Also, that journal idea was brilliant! I am going to have to use that later :)
Lets see. How best to catch up...
Stone had been humming a dwarven marching tune in his head for the last while
This is a March that never ends
it goes on and on my friends
Some people started walking not knowing what it was
And they will continue Marching forever just because
This is a March that never ends...
Except that after a while it had slipped into the collective telepathy as a sort of background buzzing that has now gone on for hours.
Finally snapping out of it (most likely with a few hits over the back of the head) he sounds rather confused.
Huh? What? Where am.. Oh ya, last I was doing standard training under her High Command, Emergency-General Amita Narahari and the Sarge when.. Uhh.. Of course! it makes perfect sense!
And then back in the collective telepathy
First It was the soup. It had to be. Because after eating that strawberry swirl we were wrestling the crocodile. then came the squirrels. Those beautiful squirrels dancing in a line. And I am a dwarf, my Pappy told me so. Why do I have to remind myself? CLAWS! CLAWS AND NEEDLES AND SHARP STUFF! AND.. squirrels dancing in a line. Ahh ya. It all makes perfect sense! Why am I on a Donkey? And why do I get the distinct memory of NAMING said donkey Stone???
All is right with the world. We are hunting filthy, disgusting squirrels for Her High Command, Emergency-General Amita Narahari herself!
And Long Live the M.D.G.F.F!
His thought processes are just a little difficult to follow :P
Now for some rolls, to see what I know :) Sense motive:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8 To see if he realizes anything (hint, he shouldn't...) Perception:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27 To see whats happening around him Ride Check:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28 To stay in the saddle :)
BTW Stone named his donkey Stone >.> Any chance he gets to name anything and it will be Stone, just a quirk of his brainwashing ^.^

What disguise? I aint wearing no disguise! Why this is the Standard Soldiers kit as issued by High Command, Emergency-General Amita Narahari herself! Its standard! And I have left nothing behind. What are you doing here if you don't know that??
And besides, I... Is that soup?
Stone seems distracted by the smells wafting about Must resist... The front lines? excellent! The closer to hit them with my crossbow!
he then shows you his "crossbow", what you had previously thought was an umbrella is in fact a crossbow (and not a warhammer) with some sort of shield attached to the front and the standard Regalia splashed across the front (looks kind of like this)
He then follows the others over to the group around the pot of stew, including standing next to Ooxe...
BTW, despite being covered in heavy armor and loaded down with a massive amount of gear and wielding a weapon weighing almost twice as much as him, he IS still quite stealthy... He only has 2 ACP, he has 22 dex, is small and is a goblin >.> Still stealthy ^.^
Oh ya, most of his crunch is done. Most.

Ok. Lets see if I can do Stones appearance justice... He really is quite the looker >.>
Over in the corner, packing up his pack you see probably one of the most curious looking creatures of the bunch, and well out of place in such a ragtag bunch.
The short creature is squatter than he is tall, his front covered in fine, almost translucent blue crystal like rock and adorned by a very floppy and wobbly helmet. a cape billows behind him, covering his back (which looks like a massive hump, carrying all his gear) and substantial backpack. The backpack is so large on him as to double his width, giving him the appearance of an enlongaged dwarf complete with steel boots, a lanturn hanging off his side and what looks like a giant umbrella slung over his side. Across every surface possible is emblazoned with the Shield of Alkenstar. Worst is underneath all of that is a cigar smoking blue goblin...
The Goblin trundles (actually he moves quite fast for all the weight he is carrying) on over to the others
Am I to assume you are Commanding Officer Eris, SIR?
Stone, Dwarven Paladin reporting for duty SIR!
Why yes I am a dwarf, isnt it obvious? Then muttering under his breath These tall folk, mumble mumble mumbleSIR!
You cant help but notice the massive umbrella slung over his shoulder with a rather wicked point in the middle...
Vitals: Hp 37/37. AC 26, T 15, FF +23, Fort +5, Ref +7, Will +2 (+2 vs spells and SLAs, Evasion, Stalwart, Fort, DR 2-), Percept +11, Darkvision 60ft, Initiative +6, Stealth +9, Sense Motive -1
Gahhh!!! So many nice things!!!
Alright, my submission is changing around slightly.
I am playing a goblin aegis wearing the heavy armor above (looking like a form of semi-translucient rock) and with a psycoactive skin underneath that gives him a very blue colouring... He is a blue psionic goblin. I expext a certian amount of discrimination from the lot o ya by the by!
He will be fighting with a special crossbow (noted below) that is particularly massive (it weighs more than he does, actually so does his armor...) this crossbow has a bowl shaped shield attached to the front (the arrow flies out of a hole in the middle) and the front is painted with the factions insignia, altered to have more pie shaped, altering colours. When slung over his shoulder you cant help but think it looks like a giant umbrella....
He also wears his trademarked floppy helmet XD
Crossbow as supplied by the GM.
Crossbows:
"Spirit Dwarves" as they call themselves (their language is a strange combination of dwarven and... something else) are a bizzare kind of dwarf that live on the edge of the Mana Wastes and the Mwangi. They evince odd behaviors and traits, and also have very strange tribal and civilized elements to their (shockingly matriarchal) culture; their women are strikingly tall for dwarves, while their men are strikingly short. Exquisite and skilled craftsman, they, too, have developed special weapons and items to use in Instead of developing fire-arms, however, they've developed exceedingly powerful and complex crossbows, crafted from rare materials found in their region of the Mwangi, Shattered Range, and Mana Wastes.Spirit Dwarf Crossbows wrote:
These large, rounded cross-box-shaped devices are exceedingly strange, and have wickedly-sharp points on one end. It is only after examining them for a time that you realize they're actually "crossbows", but unlike any you've encountered before. In addition to having cartridges, the mechanisms are protected by smooth shields of wood, preventing the string or bow from getting caught or cut,and it appears to be of materials that would fair well, even when soaked, or under water.
* Spirit Dwarf Military heavy crossbow [exotic ranged]
[800 g, 1d8+3, 19-20/x2, 120 ft., P, 7 lbs; blocking, deadly]
* special: <spirit> dwarven military crossbows are all made to use as melee weapons in addition to their basic ranged use; in addition to retaining the blocking and deadly properties these function as follows:
- - heavy [1d6/1d6, 19-20/x2, P or S (bayonet) or B (stock); brace, distracting, disarm, double]; treat as two-handed weapon
* functions normally underwater, at a range increment depending on heft: 40 ft. (heavy), 20 ft. (light), or 10 ft. (hand)
* holds up to 10 bolts, reload as a free action
- - replace one 5-bolt magazine as a full-round action (or standard action with rapid reload;
- - or move with rapid reload and rapid shot)
- - re-filling a cartridge take 1-minute (or 5 rounds with rapid re-load, 2 rounds with rapid reload and rapid shot)
* created from living materials, these repair themselves at 2 hit points per day (or 1 hit point per day, if broken, until no longer broken); additionally, they have hardness of 10 and 10 hit points
* optional: if you wish, for any given attack, you may choose to make a single attack roll to fire two bolts at once at a -2 penalty (or -6 without proficiency); this is otherwise treated as two-weapon fighting.
If you want to have one or more of these weapons, you may expend 400g for the heavy crossbow, 300g for the light crossbow, and 350g for the hand crossbow per weapon instead of the listed price.
The cartridges effectively don't weigh anything (they're about 1/8 lb. each - track their weight in increments of eight for a pound), but cost 11 gold each.
You may get 10-bolt cartridges instead for 21 gold each that weigh a total a 1/4 lb.
If you go with this, I'd recommend against purchasing more than four cartridges in any case - that will net you a total of 10 (or 20!) shots in an encounter, and you can re-load a cartridge in between battles."Maybe" five or six cartridges if you "really" want to maximize your chances of never running out in battle (and if you double-fire, I supposed you'd burn through them twice as quickly).
You can use normal bolts to otherwise refill the cartridges.
