"Easy for you to say," Silas shoots back as they leave as quickly as they can. "What's it to you if the whole ship disappears out from under you? Not all of us can survive underwater."

Lady help me, he thinks as he hoists his shield. Unwilling to let his allies face these creatures without him, and hoping to perhaps give them a brief distraction as well, he pushes past them all into the room. "Leeroy Jenkins For Iomedae!"

I'm guessing this will provoke from all of them-- and this also counts as a double move.

Since the woman makes no attempt to attack, Silas keeps his flaming sword in hand but pointed down. "You say you're different than the others, but the truth of the Inheritor is telling me you have an evil past. But the Acts says, 'Even the wickedest can know the Inheritor's mercy.' Do you reject the evil in your heart and turn to the Lady of Justice?"

"Excellent, Favian!" Silas says approvingly, not caring that he doesn't recognize the old woman's race-- what Silas doesn't know could fill libraries. "You've freed a captive!"

"How do you know she isn't a demon?" the sword asks in an amused tone.

Silas pauses, unsure. "Iomedae will show us." He closes his eyes in prayer. "The Inheritor's light dispels all shadows," he mutters, and opens his eyes.

Gamin describes what it sees, and seeing no immediate danger himself, Silas steps through the portal. "Curious. You can get in, but apparently not everyone can. And I can get in, but other... inactive objects can't. Strange magic."

"I'll leave that to the spellcasters to figure out," Silas responds, unconcerned, as he steps through. "Let's go."

Thanks, that brings me back to full! I was hoping not to have to use my LoH, as Silas plans to Smite more Evil with them. (Oath of Vengeance.)

Silas draws his sword. Flames leap out of the scabbard as the sword leaves it; the entire length of the blade is encased in heatless fire. "In Iomedae's holy name, I smite you!"

Keeping his shield on his back and his sword in its sheath, the scaled knight climbs noisily up the ladder and onto the deck.

I've added my two auras to the Buffs page, so hopefully it'll help everyone remember they're there. +4 to saves vs fear and charm effects as long as you're within 10 feet of Silas!

A green-scaled humanoid stands with the other Pathfinders. At seven feet high, Silas stands head and shoulders above most others and is bedecked in plate armor, a tower of metal and scales. He carries a shield and a seldom-used bow on his back, and an iron holy symbol bearing the sword-and-sunburst of Iomedae clinks softly against his breastplate. His sword, however, looks somewhat out-of-place: a hilt of gleaming mithral, bedecked in jewels, juts out of an otherwise unimpressive scabbard.

"No need to worry, First Harbormaster. We'll see this through safely. I'm nothing like a defenseless scholar."

A metallic voice snorts. "No truer words; he is nothing like a defenseless scholar."

I just saw that too. Ok, so I was wrong. Good for the wizard; bad for me. I imagine this would be a cakewalk for Silas, so before we go any further I might switch characters. Is a gunslinger cool with everyone?

So our APL is exactly 7. As I understand it, since the highs outnumber the lows, we would play at the high subtier. But I could be wrong.

Silas's entrance into the room would be difficult not to notice, even if he wanted it to be. He stands tall, clad head to foot in metal armor, his footsteps thunking loudly against the floor, his movements accompanied by the sound of metal on metal. Clanging softly against his breastplate is an iron holy symbol depicting the sword-and-sunburst of his patron goddess, Iomedae. Easily the most noticeable part of the ensemble is his sword: the pommel and crossguard of the longsword hanging at his belt glitter with jewels, and the entire hilt is made of shining mithral.

"Thank you," Silas says to the venture-captain. "My pleasure is that your hospitality be-- with us together, here, now."

A metallic voice chuckles. "Not quite an intelligible sentence, there. But you'll have those big words mastered someday."

I just remembered that with this game, Silas is now level 8 (I had a lot of credit waiting in the wings). So if we aren't playing 5-9, then I would have to bring a different character.

Looks good, thanks! I can't say for sure what characters will be available (or how many games I'll be in) in a few weeks so I'd rather not commit to one now.
