"wait no, eject the pilot first, that way if you lose control of it, it won't be able to strike!" Shu yells at his very stubborn companion. "Our allies are in danger, we can worry about the pilot of this one once the others are down." Shu starts muttering to himself, "damn prick...
Actually, the way afflictions works is the following way. A failed save of 1 to 4 within the DC is the first condition (and Entranced works like a stun in my case, since I didn't take the Concentration/Sustained add-ons), in Shu's case, that means rolling a total of 11-14, 5 to 9 within, instead forces the second condition (Compelled in Shu's case, lets me force them to take a single action of my choice) so for Shu that'd be a 6-10, finally there would be failing by 10+, which instead inflicts the third and most extreme condition. any roll totally less than 5 means I get complete control over their actions for the duration of the turn. in addition, mine does work similar to how you said though, as I can stack afflictions, since mine is Cumulative, meaning three failed saves within 1-4 inflicts the third affliction. However, most afflictions will only go to their second or third condition if the failed save allows it. But we ended up having a problem anyways, but I had already let the GM know about it. Shu's affliction is supposed to be single target. These mechas are more stunned for the turn.
"Alright, aim for that one," Shu yells to CICADA pointing to one of the uprisen Mecha, one that Setsuna is not aiming for. "This time we're going for a full Machine control, understood?" "Of course, what should I do if I can get it controlled?" CICADA flew towards the Mecha at lightning fast speed. "Try to get the pilot out of it, no pilot means it won't be able to attack or do anything." "Roger, roger"
"I think so. If not the machines themselves, then those...creatures inside them could be responsible," Truth be told, this was more of a hunch, without any actual evidence. Still though, not much to go off of for now, Shu didn't really notice much else. "CICADA, what's taking so long?"
"ARRRGH!" pain strikes Shu a lot, his flash goggles crack from some sort of pain. "It....hurts!" CICADA says. "CICADA, you need to possess that thing and shut it down," Shu says as he points to the nearest one.
There was a big group of people in line for.....something. Setsuna started to to shrink into what could be described as an angelic form. She flew inside. Shu thought about the statues outside though. He stayed near the entrance keeping one of the statues in sight before telling CICADA "CICADA perhaps we could possess one of those statues and see anything else going on, maybe even some of the tricks too." "I mean Setsuna is already asking these people in line, wouldn't that make our efforts pointless?" "If I had to guess, I'd say these people will be ambiguous, now come on." Shu grabbed CICADA got into a pitcher's stance and threw him at one of the statues for CICADA to possess. As he waited for an answer, Shu took a look around the area to see if there's anything special.
"Well I..." "Consider it done," CICADA interrupted. Shu looked like he was about to say something, but CICADA reiterated, "Consider...it...done." CICADA jumped into the commlink in Shu's goggles, before continuing in private, "Look, we need to work on Level Two. We're not always going to have a giant dragon to help us. Besides, school is made for us to learn these kind of things. So come on, let's go kick some butt." "Now you're speaking my language," Shu replied aloud. He turns to Setsuna and says "I can shoot lightning from my hands. It's a pretty good power, but...there are a couple of drawbacks. Nothin' you need to worry about though" Shu's comm started to use the speakers on the outside of the glasses, "Remember, we don't need to get first, we just need to make sure we don't come in last place" "Screw that, we're going for the top," Shu smirked as he said those words. "Please, let's just...*breathe* let's just cooperate. We'll hash this out later" Shu boards Setsuna, ready to go. ------------ As soon as the timer started, Setsuna took off with Shu holding on tightly. "Oh yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about!" "Shu, pay attention, we need to be ready for anything," CICADA berated. EDIT: this is what I get for leaving the post on my desktop, and not refreshing. lol.
"heh, I'd like to see your collection sometime then," Shu gives a smile. "though we should probably talk strategy. One thing that CICADA and I don't....exactly *cough* have is speed. Most of our opponents are fliers, and fast too." He remembered the race from yesterday. "Yeah, but that might mean there's going to be some sort of obstacle that would stop them from just flying." The teacher led the group to the place, it was pretty desolate, but something about it feels very deliberate. "So what's the plan?" Shu asks to his two partners.

I haven't seen him anywhere I'm afraid.... kidding, I've actually been reading, but I've hit a lot of writer's block trying to come up with a reply.
Shu pretty much spent most of his classes gazing out the window. It wasn't that he wasn't paying attention, but rather that he was more of an audible learner. Besides, anything that he didn't learn in class, he knew he was gonna get a lecture from CICADA afterwards, whom was sitting and paying attention to every little piece of information. Might as well be the teacher's pet, even without a proper body himself. The next day, he showed up in homeroom in what could be described as a costume straight out of Mission Impossible. "Oh yeah, now that's what I'm talking about!" Finally he could see the new costume in action, it wasn't much, but it was still pretty sweet. He could definitely upgrade it later with all sorts of tech and tools that CICADA could possess. "Don't get too carried away, remember that we're competing," CICADA reminded Shu. "yeah yeah yeah, and we need to find a partner," Shu just waved the spark away for a bit. Ugh, he hoped that he wouldn't be paired up with someone too bossy, he already gets that with CICADA, he doesn't need another person nagging his other ear.
"That'd be fine for me, my Quirk doesn't give me much speed either, Shu replied to Uryu. "You really should be exercising anyways," snarked CICADA to Shu. "You could build some more muscles."
yeah, I'm aware of the lightning blast to the sky (and even considered it, but I liked using the other part of my power, talking to objects), but I have a specific event planned for showing off Level Two (if we're going through the same fitness test as the main characters.
*looks at all these impressive display of powers*
"Well for our powers, we can possess machinery...and that's pretty much all we can do," Shu said. "That isn't all we can do, but we still haven't quite figured out one part of our power yet," CICADA corrected. He shrugged and said, "Either way, it's not like it matters." "IT VERY MUCH DOES MATTER! What if we need it later? Better for us to figure it out now than later," CICADA snapped. Shu was then handed the baseball, looks like he is supposed to go next. "Hey, CICADA, I have an idea." "No, we are not possessing the machine to improve your score," CICADA snarked. "No no no, not that, possess this baseball." "What? why?" "This baseball's worn down, that means it's been used a lot, it has experience. That also means it would know the exact way to maximize distance thrown." ".....that...that's not a bad idea actually." The electrical ball started to possess the baseball itself. Suddenly a new voice rang out from the ball. "Alright, kid, lesse what you got. Get into position." Shu followed the ball's instructions best he could before tossing it like a nomral person. Not like he had a power to enhance the throw...yet.
"Ugh, please tell me you've got better jokes than that," groaned Shu. "There's, no need to be rude to her. Apologize to her now," demanded CICADA. It started to generate more sparks than usual. "You taking her side? No shock there......" his eyes widened upon realizing his accidental pun. "Oh great, it's contagious."
Shu writes his name Shu Megami, he then pondered for a moment before also writing and CICADA Megami. He's had to listen non-stop to CICADA, maybe someone else should have to also bear the responsibility.
"Well, you see..." CICADA was about to answer Robert when Shu butts in. "I'm the student and he's the pain in my neck." "Think of me as Shu's Quirk," CICADA continued. He gave the best look for a smirk for a ball of lightning before continuing, And the only thing keeping him from becoming a criminal." "Hey!.....okay yeah, that's probably true." Shu ended up taking the seat closest to the door at the front of the room. He was willing to pay attention, but as soon as the class was over, he was out of there.
Italicized words from now on is when CICADA talks and Bolded will be when Shu talks so I can differentiate between the two when I don't want to say "CICADA said" or "Shu said". "Hey, look those must be some of your classmates," CICADA told Shu. "We should go say hi, make a good first impression" "And look totally stupid? No, thank you. I'm gonna go inside," he dismissed the group. "Oh come on, it'll be fun, and besides, you need some new friends anyways. How are you going to be anyone's hero if you stay cold?" Okay, so the character that probably inspired my character the most was the heroine, Razzle Dazzle. Her Quirk, Firework, was the ability to cast bright explosions that would ascend towards the sun or in the exact opposite direction of the sun if it was at night. All in all, not quite a useless Quirk, but what inspired Shu is her ability to think quickly in situations and use her quirk in pretty creative ways. Not only did she use it for distractions, but she was able to utilize the ability to get the drop on many otherwise superior foes. It's also obvious she loves the attention, always with a warm gentle smile on her face.
"For the last time, no," a little electrical ball said to a teenager. The kid was about shorter than average for a 14 year-old kid. He had his spiky brown hair tied with a blue headband. His shirt was orange that extended into white long sleeves, his shorts were black, and he wore some orange shoes. He was a fairly thin kid, as well. Both of them were outside of a vending machine. "But come on, Cada, I'm thirsty. It's just one drink. I'll pay the machine double next time." "Maybe next time, you'll remember your wallet, Mr. I-never-forget-anything," the sphere sassed back. "Besides, if I get caught trying to possess this thing, you're gonna get expelled. That'd be pretty embarrassing, especially on your first day." Shu sighed. "Okay, okay, fine, you win for now." He started to walk slowly towards where his new school was located. "Cheer up, man," CICADA said. "It's a new school, maybe you'll make some new friends." "Yeah yeah yeah." It was no surprise to Shu that he placed high on the exams. The written part was fairly easy enough, and the opponents that they fought were machines. Yeah, they were complicated, and CICADA had to possess their firearms, more than the full machines themselves, but it got the job done. He approached the gates of his new school, he walked through them, not tripping the alarm because while he did forget his wallet, he did not forget his own school I.D. He also knew that CICADA wouldn't just possess the alarms to keep them from sounding as that was 'against the rules'.
I will be disappointed if Robert Fuller isn't voiced by Weird Al Yankovic now.
okay, so I'm gonna do something similar to Oracle from Persona 5. link here Although with a few differences, main one being, I'm not playing a girl. :P For descriptor sake, that means that he's going to have spandex, with an undershirt underneath it, not that you'd see it. It covers the full body, except it will leave the fingers uncovered (another difference from Oracle's costume), so that way when he goes Level Two, he can shoot out his lightning abilities. In addition, he has eyewear (the Flash Goggles) that just looks cooler than it actually functions, but it can stop Dazzle effects. I'm also gonna say that he has an antenna and microphone on the side of his eyewear. I say that CICADA will likely be in the eyewear. (I'm also adding Commlink to my list of equipment, but that won't cost me any PP, since I've had 4 ep to work with...also yeah, I could've just used my Cellphone, but I like this too.)

The way I played it, you put the point into the main power of the array, and the other powers can be updated as well for free, as they all come from the same source of power. As far as earning points, we get those as story rewards from GM, whenever they deem it earned. And the more points we get, eventually we level up our power level, which allows us to get even stronger powers. ---- Now for a question of my own, what about CICADA for me?
