About Shu Q Megami aka "Life Hack"
Backstory:
Shu Q. Megami was born under a scientist and a a police detective. They had high hopes for him, especially when his Quirk manefested into CICADA. Though Shu would rather do things the easy way than the right way, which is a complete opposite of CICADA who has a bigger set of morals and moral code. Because of this, both of them tend to bicker a lot.
Shu's father, a scientist, was at work for most of his life. He studies Quirks and hopes to find a way to truly unlock their secrets, especially help those who are Quirkless. He himself has the Quirk, Technomancy. It makes his ability to log information or to fine-tune his equipment, if need be, a lot easier for him to handle.
Shu's mother on the other hand was a police detective with the Quirk: Astral Projection. She could use it to project her spirit out of her body and be able to look in crime scenes areas that would otherwise be inaccessible. Her job kept her busy, but she always tried to manage to make time for her son, or rather her sons, as she considers CICADA one of her children. Her love for helping others is what inspires CICADA, and it was clear that he draws from her moral code, thus creating a moral pretentiousness that Shu doesn't like.
Shu grew up one of the smartest kids in his school in LA, whenever he read something, he easily retained it. This made going to school a boring pain though, especially since he relearned these over and over and over. One thing that he does like, however, are superheroes. Those guys have to learn new techniques every day to succeed at their jobs. Sure, some of them use the same thing over and over again, but others, like All Might, seem to always have a new trick up their sleeve. He secretly wanted to become a hero so that people would look up to him the same way he looks up to the heroes. He applied for the best hero school in the country, luckily it was closeish to where he lived.
Shu does have a bit of a selfish side, though. He constantly wants to control some sort of machine to give him want he wants, but CICADA keeps him straight, as much as it annoys him.
The way their powers work is that CICADA can possess an object and give it a voice. Likewise, I created Machine Control based off of Mind Control, so they do have a lot of expertise in that department, but their super form is something that I plan on upgrading as time goes on. Each upgrade requiring more and more from the duo. Likewise, the super form is when CICADA possesses Shu. Both of them combine their abilities into one being, problem is these two have to be emotionally in sync (like what the complication mentions), basically think the Crystal Gem fusion in Steven Universe (wasn't where the inspiration from where this character comes from, but it's a good fit none-the-less).
Complications
Motivation: Doing Good: This is CICADA's motivation. A built in set of morals means that he can't help but try to answer the call when someone asks for help, too bad that Shu might not feel the same way.
Motivation: Recognition: This is Shu's motivation. While he would rather do things the easy way, he still wants to be recognized for his ability and his effort.
Quirk: Life hack is actually two beings in one, CICADA and Shu. CICADA is the source of all of their powers, though the Heroic Form cannot be activated unless the two are emotionally in sync. Problem is both of them are exact opposites in almost every way.
