"Can we move this along boys?" Shardra asks playfully as the brutes of the group finish off the remaining demons. "Now I wonder if there is anything else in this place?" Loading her crossbow, Shardra walks up to the unconcious drow woman, and aims the bolt at the space between her eyes. "Unless someone thinks this one should live, I can just make this quick. Never had any use for the dark elves anyways..." No action from Shardra. This looks like it is wrapped up...

Shardra continues to chant the demon's doom, while she casually takes a step forward and draws out her light crossbow. Her spells nearly spent, she had very little power left to do anything to the enemies other than continue their misfortunes and hexes. Move to chant, continue all hexes for one more round, another move to draw the crossbow, 5' step. Go team go!

Shardra does not have mundane means of creating light... Sorry!!! The dwarf woman smiles grimly as the drow drops unceremoniously to the ground. She continues to chant, just to hold that hex of misfortune, in case the wicked woman gets back now. Now just to finish these demons off. She gives the closest demon a wicked look, distracting it from the attacks of her companions. Evil eye on the closest demon, -2 to AC for 8 rounds unless it passes a DC 18 will save, which reduces it to 1 round. I can keep it going as long as I continue to chant. Using my move action to chant to continue the misfortune hex on the drow, just in case she wakes up.

Shardra grumbles at the mess of enemies, hoping that her capable compaions can mop them up quickly. To help, she stares into the strands of fate, snapping the ones that bode the most good fortune for the drow woman who stands before her. Move, then use standard action for Misfortune on the drow woman. DC 18 will save or she has to roll twice and take the worst result for attacks, saves, skills, etc. This lasts for 1 round, until I start chanting to extend it for 1 round each round I chant.

Shardra takes her humming and chanting in an awkward turn, as she chants out some important things to her companions. The wild and weird way in which she reveals these things makes the demonic man feel as though she is baring his evil soul, and he doesn't like it. Move action to chant, continuing the evil eye. "The plant creature will drain your blood constitution if you let it grab you and resists acid, cold and electricity..." she chants in a monotone voice. "Hit the Incubus with cold iron or good weapons, but don't use energy, and pray it doesn't hit you in the sweet spot..." Shardra's inflection bounces to different tones, which makes her companions feel strange, and the incubus just awful. "The shadow demon is the true threat! Incorporeal and immune to almost all energy, only cold iron and good weapons can damage it. If you let it charge you, it will pounce rend you with its claws and maw!" Ok, hopefully I got everything. Also, DM Kludde - I had cast daylight on my crown to overcome the darkness, that should still be active. Does that affect the weakness of the shadow demon? Sunlight Powerlessness:
Sunlight Powerlessness (Ex) A shadow demon is utterly powerless in bright light or natural sunlight and flees from it. A shadow demon caught in such light cannot attack and can take only a single move or standard action. A shadow demon that is possessing a creature using magic jar is not harmed by sunlight, but if it is struck by a sunbeam or sunburst spell while possessing a creature, the shadow demon is driven out of its host automatically. Shardra turns her attention to the shadow demon, knowing the havoc it could cause. She casts a hex on the evil creature, unwinding its strands of good luck and weaving in a few of the bad kind. "Yes, we should find out what he knows of this place and why he was here. He may be quite useful as we seek to understand what this site is. Bind him up, then wake him." Would it be appropriate to use this opportunity to cast legend lore? According to the description I spoilered below, it would take quite some time. I also don't generally like doing things akin to: "I make a check, now tell me all the answers GM so I don't actually have to problem solve." If it isn't appropriate I will not use it. I guess it depends on what kind of info we can get from the dark elf... Shardra peers at the groggy dark elf as he begins to come around. "My name is Shardra. We are with the pathfinder society. It is unfortunate you attacked us before we had an opportunity to speak, and you should be grateful we didn't just kill you outright. Well, now is the chance to save your own life. Lets start by who you are, who you work for, and why you were here." Sharda gives the elf a very evil eye as she waits for his answer. Few can resist the unnerving stare, and the dwarf hopes it will break whatever willpower he has to resist answering her questions. Legend lore: Shardra finds out more about an important person, place, or thing. Since it takes 2d6 weeks to cast this spell from rumors or 1d10 days to cast it with detailed information, Shardra probably needs to have the subject present, in which case it takes 1d4 × 10 minutes to cast. Afterwards, Shardra learns legends about the subject, possibly facts that were forgotten or never generally known. If she casts without the subject present, this information is less complete.

Sorry! I read right over the word 'or'. -2 to attack rolls is what I choose... With the dark elf obviously unnerved by the dwarf's stare, she begins a hearty chuckle. "Doom Doom Doom! Do you see the fates, there, in the distance. 'Tis your strand they play with, don't you see?" With a wave of her hands the dark elf has a vision flash before his eyes. In a split second, he sees every decision he has ever made, and what would have happened had it been the wrong one. "Doom Doom Doom! Mwuaaahahahahah!" So, the currently unhurt dark elf has -2 to his attack rolls for the next 8 rounds, and now has misfortune cast on him. DC 18 will save to negate the misfortune. I will use my move action to begin chanting, which extends both the evil eye and misfortune for one additional round. Misfortune:
As a standard action, Shardra can force an enemy within 30 feet to roll twice on all ability checks, attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks and take the lower roll for 1 round (Will DC 18 negates). She can’t use misfortune on the same target again for 24 hours. chant: As a move action, Shardra can chant aloud and extend her evil eye and misfortune hexes by 1 round for all targets within 30 feet.

"Spellcaster in the room beyond, no time to wait! Prepare to defend yourselves!" Shardra moves forward, flexing her eyebrows in preparation for her most unnerving stare.

"Well done with that ward, Garox." Shardra nods to the man. Looking around the room, Shardra feels at home in the stone. Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25 +2 for stonework "We are still not alone... I can feel it."

"Can you dispell it Enora?" Shardra asks, curious about what the ward would be. Can we identify it with detect magic and spellcraft? If it isn't to bad, we can just trigger it and heal... what the heck right?

Know History: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 Add +2 for info relating to dwarves and their enemies "This is interesting..." Shardra says, pursing her lips and opening a journal to begin making sketches and taking notes of the shapes, runes, and particularly of the fascinating tapestry on the wall. "Does anyone know anything about this? What little I know of history does not include anything in here." The dwarf casts detect magic to see if there are any magical clues about the runes and buttons. "I wonder what this does?" she says, inspecting the pedestal closely.

"We have met with the ancient welcoming committee. Shall we move on? While we gather ourselves here, allow me to send Kolo, my deep crag tautara to see what is in this room. While he does that, Jelani, I have something that should help you." The dwarven woman whispers to the lizard shaped stone, and it skitters off towards the door. Meanwhile, Shardra weaves her hands and the giant barbarian's skin takes a strange, rocky formation before fading away, appearing normal once again. Cast Barkskin on Jelani - +3 to natural armor. She weaves her hands again and a shimmering, dark light surrounds her, fading away momentarily. cast false life on myself - 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 extra HP. The shaman opens the door for her familiar, and sends the rocky lizard in. Kolo has dark and lowlight vision, and a climb speed. He will scurry up the wall to stay out of any potential danger. Actually - looking into this more, it doesn't appear as though there is any real communication possibilities - so that is just for flavor. Lets open the door and keep moving! Edit: Might as well cast heightened awareness on myself as well - +2 to perception and know checks

Shardra wastes no time as Jelani begins to cough hysterically. Stepping up to the giant man, she places a hand on his arm and channels divine magic. Cast neutralize poison Caster level check vs DC of poison: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 "You ok big guy? I can restore whatever damage your body may have sustained. If you feel ok, I can conserve my resources." She looks at Jelani, allowing him to decide. I think only 1 point of damage doesn't actually have any mechanical effect. I can cast lessor resto if necessary.

Shardra steps back to see if the giant warrior can repeat the performance on the second plant creature. She dismisses the entanglement to allow Jelani free access to the thing. This fight seemed well in hand already, just a minor annoyance as they begin to explore. Standard to dismiss entangle, will stay where I am.

Shardra coughs and sputters, trying to keep the spores from entering her mouth and nose. Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Her dwarven heritage helps keep her from succombing to the plant's attacks. Can I get info from my monstrous insight check? result of 35 (ie - know: Nature) I will ready an action to cast Neutralize Poison if that is what this attack is, I am assuming she would know based on that roll.

Knowledge, Nature + Monstrous Insight: 1d20 + 10 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 7 = 35 Shardra weaves her hands and calls to the plants in the room to rise up and protect them. Cast entangle - DC 16 reflex save or be entangled. This spell is a 40' radius spell, Though I'm not sure if it gets bound by the walls. If possible, I will cast it so that the edge is at the edge of the room/doorway.

Shardra kneels down near the fungus, taking a closer look, even daring to reach out and touch it, if that would help her identify it. She reaches deep within the recesses of her mind to find clues as to what it is, and if it might be dangerous. Know: Nature: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18 Shardra has an ability called Monstrous Insight, which gives her an additional +7 to this check that she can use a limited number of times per day. If the fungus is indeed a monster, please add the +7 to that check. If that is the case, she will get a +2 to her AC and attack rolls against that creature specifically. And I am sorry for the delay - The holiday weekend limited my posting time much more than I would have thought. Everything should be back to normal.

"Ahh yes. This seems to be more my style, and I do forgive your enthusiasm Venture Captain Heidmarch. Do you know if there are any guardians there at all? And what should we do, if we aren't the first ones there?" The squat dwarven female stands, immoving while she asks her questions. The complicated garb and headdress of the shaman add an imposing air to the figure as she speaks. While she listens, a small creature that reminds most of a pet lizard in shape, but looks to be made entirely of stone, curls up on the floor at her feet. Sorry again for the delay! Hopefully I don't mess anything up trying to figure out a new class at level 7... should be interesting! |
