I'm really thrilled about the new book Starfinder Enhanced!

Seo-Yeon is obviously very perplexed by the situation, not understanding how someone can knock in her ship and how they even came there.
The existance of a stow-away in the Cosmic Flash makes her face pale beyond the usual.

Uh... what? Did someone just knock there, but we are all here? Is someone else on the ship? How is that even possible?

As it turns out it is a were-rat, she is even more shocked.

I can't even...DR34-M12 stay and monitor everything, i put the ship on autopilot. I'll go and make sure the boys handle this properly.
With these words she adjusts some settings on her console, gets strapped out of the pilots seat and grabs her laser pistol, walking towards the door.

What's the plan here? Right out of the airlock or first check who and what that actually is? Or why it is there in the first place? I think i would like to find that out first.

Probably makes sense though to deduct all expenses we have during missions and everything we need to restock´, fuel and run the ship before sharing personal gains.

DR34-M12, calling her boss and suggesting something like a date, already got more and more awkward looks and responses from Seo-Yeon, but the mention of something "interesting" to happen lets her chin drop.

Activating the auto-pilot she turns on the pilots chair, looking at the rest of the crew on the bridge.
What do you mean, something interesting to happen? Don't go magicking something out on the ship please! Unnecessary risks are the last thing we need. Don't forget, we are in space now.
She seems uneasy and disapproving...

I think we should talk about the layout of the ship and perhaps come up with a plan? This sounds a bit like the Enterprise bridge to me right now, but i think on a small ship it could be a bit different.

Her cheeks turning red, Seo-Yeon lets DR34-M12s sudden outburst of intimacy pass over her like a downpour of heavy rain, seemingly surprised and unsure what to do, she gives her a pad on the back.
Uhm, thanks, i guess. Not sure that's correct though.
Embarrassed she walks the rest of the way silently, trying not to look at her crewmate.

Ugh, i'm not sure we have the credits. Perhaps we can do that once we earned some more. If we are all stocked on supplies, i'm ready to go. Thanks for your invitation, maybe next time.
Seo-Yeon talks to Pax and DR34-M12 and then waves the clerk a short goodbye, before turning to Declan, the Ysoki mechanic.
Mh i guess the ship needs a mechanic. I tried to fix what i can, but i'm certainly not the best. Better at piloting! You take good care of this jewel!

DR34-M12, when everyone is on board and Declan gives the go for the engine, can you upload the coordinates of our destination please, so i can plot a course? We'll be ready for take-off soon then!

On the way to the ship
Giving DR34-M12 a considering and slightly creepy look, Seo-Yeon answers:
Unfortunately, the allegedly boring too often turns out to be anything but. I expect there to be difficulties, why else would they outsource it like that? The seemingly interesting will probably have even more catches. Rats usually don't come alone, there might be a whole gang and people backing them. So, we'll see i guess. Do you carry any weapons? I have some, hopefully enough.

Is the fuel stocked up and do we have enough ammunition? And food? It's very uncomfortable to be in the middle of nowhere without enough fuel or food. Ammunition speaks for itself. Always hope you don't need it, but if you need it, you better have enough.

Seo-Yeon answers the clerk in an attempt to appear jokingly, laying her hand on his shoulder in a supposedly friendly manner, trying to give him a friendly smile. Closer looks reveal that she is trying really hard to overcome usual unheeding mannerism and give a genuine smile.

The camera refocuses and then zooms into the background, where an elven woman, more on the elvish petite side, leans casually against a wall, arms crossed in front of her chest.
Underneath the neat black clothes shines an irridescent suit through at places and she carrying a backpack, kind of like a purse, black as well.
Some bulges indicate there might be more pockets in her dress than are visible on first sight.

Lifting one hand to move a strain of her long, jet black hair out of her pale face, she speaks up with a sweet and melodic, but at the same time emotionless voice, the deep purple eyes looking at no one in particular:

We should take the medical supply job. Boring is good and so is keeping a low profile. I just got us this ship, wouldn't want to put it on the edge already.

With the rat, is that bringing in or deposing of? I don't like rats.

I'm fine with Hima taking kind of a leading role, but expect discussions on that "firm morale compass".
Seo-Yeon wants to live and live freely, decisions have to be made and some things just need to be done.
All of that is better with full pockets.

Very good question!
I would go with the korean elven thing and name it 우주 플래시 Uju Peullaesiery, which means something like Cosmic Lightning, or Cosmic Flash.

If all are on board with this name, that is.

Oh i see!
But, it was the war of independence, which happened just recently, right?

Speaking of faith, Seo-Yeon is a follower of Calistria and that for good reason.
Quiet on the surface and seemingly a bit introverted, deep inside she is just as temperamental, scheming and maneuvering as the goddess.

What did she loose in the war for independence?
I'm not really familiar with the timeline, but i imagine this happened towards the end of her training and perhaps even at the beginning of the war she was scheduled to run missions for her house.
During those missions she had contact with different ideas and saw lots of stuff with her own eyes for the first time.
And she was also able to find out that even her privileged booty was just a pawn that would be risked and sacrificed in the game of houses when the gains would be sufficient.
This led to her running away, loosing her house, her status and her family.

What's a question for the elves of the group?

I'm fine with the ship design and don't know any better there.

How does everyone feel about the backstory about how we got the ship?
I think everyone has their own character backstory, so the only thing to figure out is how we exactly met each other.
And the GM question about what we lost in the war.

Haha i feared the worst when you said guitar ship, but it's actually not bad! A lot of scifi ship designs come from everyday items. Starships for tabletop gaming often are build out of water pistols, there's a lot of challenge on youtube.

Did you just make that board?
Interesting question there, how does propulsion work in Eberron Starfinder? A lot of the ships have rings and that reminds me of the elemental propelled airships. Is that still a thing or is it the drive from Starfinder?

But how about an addition? This is also kind of an adventure hook/proposition :D
Making some assumptions on how we met or meet.

300 years after the war, somewhere on Dol Dorn, a band of ragtag "veterans" came together, all on the search for food, a place to stay and a job. Some also for some sense and direction in their lives, but that's a different matter.
Jobs on the planet were alright, but not as good and in space with the gates open there were plenty of new opportunities and riches to be made.
The only issue - in space, you need a starship.
Luckily there was this otherwise often eerily quiet elf maiden, who suddenly very flatly stated that she would be able to organize a ship.
Not the best or largest, but it would fly and do. A relative of her was about to retire and ready to let go his old ship, only for a small amount of credits.

And she was able to deliver. Some days later an old, but nice ship stood in a bay nearby. Some bumps and scratch marks on the hull - you're uncertain whether some of them are actually scorch makes from laser fire or not -, technology and outfitting kind of old, but trustworthy, proven time and time again. It's a small old freighter or transport shuttle. The design is a bit unfamiliar, but average, wouldn't raise eyes anywhere. It's a totally safe, sound and secure deal. Who wouldn't trust a lovely elf and dismiss such a good opportunity?

Obviously, this ship is stolen and once belonged to House Phiarlan. Seo-Yeon used it in her escape, removed the house signs and any or most other traces of the origin.She might have done good, or not. Could also be interpreted as an undercover ship by some.

I saw that more of an expanse setting, Dol Dorn/Okra/Mars is independent from Eberron/Earth and things are tense.

Also very interesting, two very different elves on board, no possible tension at all there :D

I did Starship combat only once and didn't find it bad, but that was a low level one.
I believe there are some alternative mechanics out there, up to using Star Wars X-Wing game or Armada rules.

I don't know, i think we could go a democratic route about it. Perhaps the starship is a joint venture?
With strict hierarchical captain roles i don't have the best experience, but that's mainly from water faring pirate ships.

We could do with kind of a dedicated spokesperson though in some cases.

Mh i guess with some minor adjustments i could go for captain, but originally aimed for pilot, which Seo-Yeon might be best at.

Firefly wise she'll probably be a mix of River and Hoban "Wash".
I thought of a background story and will pm you about it later EltonJ, to check some stuff with you.

I'm not married to the spy specialization, so i could be a bit flexible there to fill needs. Also could reallocate for higher CHA if needed.

Got some other races on the radar and can change it easily, just need to give it some more thought.

Seo-Yeon is an Astrazoan, currently taking the form of a Damai, i hope you are allright with that race. Could change it with no problem though.
I'm getting the feeling this character may be better suited as lead engineer, having a lot of skill points.

My sincere apologies too all and especially the GM for prolonged absence.
Had to deal with a heavy flu and then this global situation developed, which causes me even more work on top of a heavy workload right now.
Additionaly childcare is closed, so i have a 3 year old at home at all times who needs to be loved and entertained.

I work in a german trading chain in IT, but in this situation most people are also out supporting different markets, so people can buy their toilet paper and stuff.

I'm heavily in favor of taking care of that patrol first as well. It's a high risk leaving someone who could fall in your back anytime. Just imagine we get into a firefight and they barricaded themselves, then suddenly that patrol shows up from the other side! We would be trapped!

Or they take hostages in the camp or start to attack for retribution. It's a thread we should definately tie up.

Seo-Yeon walks up and down the crowded room while talking, playing with her laser pistol in her hands all the while.

What is tis? How can the water vanish everytime i get close? Is that their water rationing? Must be some kind of weird curse or evil ancient magic they use! Is this even safe to drink?

Do you think they put guards here to ration access to the water? That would be difficult, because they can always just replace them. Let's take a look. Perhaps we can rig the water supply so it can be accessed from somewhere else. Like from inside this building next to it, or another one close by.

Seo-Yeon sneaks around in the chaos looking out for any guards or installations, as well wether the moisture collector and the water have been restricted with devices in any way.

Unfortunately a strange breeze keeps blowing her hair over her eyes, so she looks awesome, but doesn't see much at all and is more busy getting her hair back under control.

You seem to be better at hacking than i am, unsurprisinlgy as a, well machine based being. How good can you climb though?

Right now they are looking for wildlife. If we disguise ourselves, especially Rook, we might get away somehow without the distraction for a little time. But i guess escalating things here is what we wanted anyway, so getting done with all the tasks and then enter their lair as quickly as we can might still be good.

That sounds like a good plan overall, but i would change the orde of events a bit. First recover information from Madelons home, then take out the graveyard patrol, after that take care of the water supply and last free the hobgars before we infiltrate the garrison. And while taking out the garrison, we can all disguise using their uniforms. Should bring some confusion to them. Do you have a sniper rifle available?
