A magical item should not provide MORE benefit to someone with a "handicap" than someone else. I agree with ryric, a purchase needed to combat the drawback, with a little bonus. On a side note, I think it would be great to allow a sorcerer to take "Zealous" but would house rule a RAI (is that the correct abbreviation for "Ruled as Intended"?) Perhaps a Zealous sorcerer would make an unwise choice regarding who to attack, or get to close, or decide to use his claws instead of a ranged attack. For flavor and to minimize the penalty, I might even decrease the penalty. Getting up close might be bad enough already.

sorry for being out of touch. Have had wife in ER two nights during the past week. Multiple tests and Dr visits between. Possibly scary stuff. Anyway...
During the time people are looking around, looting etc. I cast detect magic several times in different directions, to see if anything has been missed. Are the living guards awake, able to hear the discussion, etc.
I believe I have a charm person prepared. One of the soldiers might know something he might otherwise not say. Also, I would love to have the ring, but I do not know how these decisions are made in this group.

There are still forces at work in this city that we do not understand. We could be attacked. What is our relationship with the man who killed Saul, and where is he? Who would be best at searching this place while others guard the doors? Who would help me barricade the entries until we know more of what is going on. Is anyone good at building traps? First, she goes to each body, to see if anyone is still alive. If so, she stabilizes them and asks the group if they think he could be helpful. If not, she heads to the front door, picking up wood and things that could be used as tools (surely there is a hammer somewhere) to build a barricade at the front door.

Seeker of Light pauses and nods to Shade. Gramlag seemed to be one who is ready to move on, and less likely to be pleased to be returned in a different form. Though I would hate for this group to loose such a warrior, it would seem that Sabola would more likely desire to return.

silently to Ternock:
Wishful thinking. There could be treasure here he knows about but plans to take with him. Your experience in these things is greater than mine, but I can be convincing at times. Let me know if I can help. I am still a newcomer to this group and uncertain of my status, but if this proves true and there is a scroll of reincarnation, there will be a difficult decision to make. Who should make it. And who should use the scroll. It is above any of our abilitie.

Seeker of Light looks around to see if anyone needs healing. She looks to Volk to see if the comfort he is being given is effective. If there are no needs, she walks over to Sabola, places his body on the platform, straightening his body, placing his arms across his chest, closing his eyes, quietly praying as she does so, tears roll down her face as she does so. She retrieves her club. She then does the same for Gramlag while asking, Does anyone know enough of their beliefs to know what they would have us do now? silently to Ternock: It is possible he has more than he would tell us. Can you negotiate for two scrolls?

Always feel free to suggest actions. I am used to playing in person, in a setting where people are able to freely talk ooc about ideas regarding actions in a battle.

Sorry. I am not used to playing with such a large group and did not consider all the factors. Will get advice more in the future. I can fight/threaten with my cestus. I can step back 5 feet, and channel. He will face adorations and attack of opportunity to attack me.

We need a battle commander. If I survive this encounter, I have a suggestion. It seems that Endoralis(Volk's player) has the best handle on things. Seeker of Light is a natural leader. We could have Endoralis guide the stratagy, with Seeker (or some one else, that is fine with me!) implementing it in the roll play.

I have been looking at the hybrid "hunter". I have never liked favored terrain and favored enemy for a player, since you never know where you are going. There are things about it I did like. I think someone in this group is very negative toward rogues. If so, why?

How stable is the catwalk? I want to use my Windblast(essentially a 30ft line of wind causing Bull rush). I have a great line hitting three enemies, but I would rather get Saul. I expect he can manage it on the ground, but if the catwalk is unstable...GM would have to decide the effect. But my character should have some sense of what it would do to a somewhat unstable platform.

Which number seems wrong? His attack is +8 because he has bulls strength. Bummer of a roll though. And boy they have a lot of hit points!

Seeker of Light charges forward 25 feet(toward the two separated Guards) and attacks with her glaive. Masterwork Cold Iron Glaive Hit: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 21(PA), Reach, Bless, inspire courage. If I understand correctly, Bless gives a plus one to attack. Inspire courage gives a +1 to attack and damage. I am attacking someone who is holding a crossbow. I do not remember if that gives me an advantage?

@GM Tuyena
Unclear about where we are in our round. Nel, Volk and the Gendarmes have acted, the rest of us have not. Ternock and seniko are next. Correct?

Here is where PBP gets complicated. I would have, as an immediate action, dropped a stone shield in front of Glamdrag, where ever it would have blocked the most shots. If you don't want to go back in time, please keep him alive and drop it now. In any case, when I do so, I say "Take a moment and get readythat is, ready action, for when this shield drops. In the meantime, I will provide some healing."

Please note that (Adoration) as an immediate action, I can attempt to thwart a melee or ranged attack that targets me. This functions as sanctuary, but only against one attack. I must use the ability after the attack is declared but before the roll is made. So I must know about an attack before you roll the dice. |
