"Alright fine!" Schek is somewhat irritated at Olad but still calls his help. "Flank this one for me!" he says before launching his grapnel at his prey. "I don't know how you do it underwater but just do if you can." he adds.

Schek activates the dragon turtle scale attached on his armor and goes into the water for a swim. he then calls Green enemy's attention to fight him. "Hey, you! You are going to fight me!" he yells.

Schek chuckles in response to the sailors. "Honest work... they are just sitting there." He has no idea what he is talking about. "Kinda weird indeed. What happened to the nearby bars now? Are they already closed?"

Schek looks around the Lucky Duck. "Full of rats, but fleet-ready! Thi is what we're looking for! Well, except for the rat infestation, but that can be managed later on, right?"

If dragon turtle scale is for each, not one for group, Schek will happily take and affix it right away, or by somebody who can do that. If he can choose another, he can go with blast boots.

Schek inspects the ship as well, but does not find what Captain Kortos is talking about.

"Ha! Now that’s the way to talk! That’s how you do business with me, straightforward! Show me what you’ve got!" Schek is an easy sell, though he’d rather plunder ships than buy them. But for now…

Schek gives the first ship a thorough look-over as they’re shown around inside and out.

"Well..." he thinks for a while, "This one’s fine as a passenger or hospital vessel, but we need something faster, much quicker! Not some tub that crawls like a turtle. We don’t want a ship that leisurely sails the sea. We want one that cuts through the waves like it’s chasing prey! You’ve got something like that, right? This one’s… well, kinda meh." Schek waves dismissively, making it clear the ship doesn’t fit their needs.

"Well, Schek, " Nairaba says, "We are going to buy them. Don't worry about the budget. Let us handle that."

"Oh." Schek ponders that for a moment. "I thought you'll just... never mind!" he shrugs and grins at his own thoughts and readies himself for the mission.

Pathfinder Provision: Lesser Healing potion

"How are you even going to get more ships?" Schek inquires, more curious as to how they will do it, perhaps he can learns from them and applies what he learns someday.

Schek pauses, staring at Nairaba with wide-eyed curiosity. "Where did you get that? So I’ll know not to buy from there." His tone carries more innocent wonder than mockery. Now he is not sure if he has to drink after being given one.

Schek accepts the nut from Chipped without a second thought. Whether it is hard or not is left to his crooked teeth.

Soon after, he settles with the others when they are motioned into a private room. His gaze wanders so much that he misses the call for introductions. When his attention is drawn back, he snaps out of his daze.

"Names? Ah, yes! Schek Nek! Pirate of the seas and beyond, at your service!" He bows graciously, flashing a toothy grin.

"So, what do we have here? Am I late? Is the mission briefing over? Can someone share me the mission details right away?" a green-tinged kobold arrives, crooked teeth bared as he smiles to the others.

"Schek Nek, by the way." he introduces himself to them as he also check the other Pathfinders one by one.

I have Protective Mentor boon, if you want. As for reactions, I have Cringe when I get Critically Hit, but I seldom use it except when I am dealing with bosses.

Is there anyone here who would benefit from the Strike Hard tactic?

The only ones that I really could see using it are Schek Nek and Ebren. Schek and Ebren, would Strike Hard be helpful? Otherwise I am going to leave that tactic in the Portfolio this time.

I am willing to spend a reaction for Strike Hard if it gets included.

"Yes, yes! And Shuuto here will behave from now on, right?" Schek gives the tanuki a grin, not sure of threat or happiness after what just happened to them.

"Everyone alright?" Schek asks and when he sees the spots where they are bitten are swelling. "My, those are bumpy..."

No healing for them from Schek, unfortunately.

"Hey, I'm here!" he taunts, seeing that he is ignored after scaring it. He takes this opportunity to launch the pointy end of his weapon at the Mother after making it powerful with his magic!

The deafening silence is quietly unnerving for Schek so he draws his weapon. This is different from the usual roaring of seas that he prefers.

"Holy mother of pearls!" he exclaims when he sees the giant alien that are now attack them.

Schek is expecting to call her winds, but it seems it is not happening soon. He just shrugs. Or maybe it was the other Pathfinder from another mission? He is unsure now.

Nonetheless, he draws out his weapon and moves to a nice position to see the enemies. He marks the closest one, Pink Fire, as his prey.

Once the party started, Schek remember something.

"Our venture-captain mentioned about your village repelling the wildlife. Maybe because you party too much." he approaches the elder and shouts his concern so his voice won't be drowned.

Two checks from Schek too. *palindromic pun intended*

And the Pathfinders, it turns out, will be the Guests of Honor! Shuuto gives you all a bracelet (which Fumika eyes as he does) and Fumika gives you all a necklace (which Shuuto eyes as she does) presenting them to 2d4 Cirri and Schek Nek respec(spec)tively!

Schek stares at Fumika, unsure whether to accept it without inciting another prank war. Looking back and forth between the two of them, it seems they have set aside their differences, maybe for now. He will know later. He wears the necklaces after thanking them and joins the others set up the party by helping the community fix what needs fixing.

For the Bear-Owl Party...
To do his part, Schek begins moving away unnecessary objects and clearing the area of debris and whatnot.

"We will try our best." Schek brandishes his teeth once more with a smile.

He goes between the two warring tanuki, exhales deep and exclaims,

“Enough of this nonsense! These pranks are causing real trouble for everyone. Stop for a while, both of you, or I’ll have to step in and show you what an actual prank looks like, and trust me, it won’t be as harmless as a bucket of water.”

Schek grabs a hanging vine, swings through the trees, flips onto a branch, jumping from it and lands with ease.

He then calls them out,“You two like competing, right? How about this: forget the pranks. Let’s see who can match me instead! Swing through the ropes, climb as high as you can, and land without falling. Whoever does it best wins. Think you can handle that?”

"The venture-captain mentioned about the wildlife being repelled to the village. Is this connected to your disruptive feud?" Schek asks the two elderly tanuki. "or any information about that?" he is rather curious, now that the matter is more than the war between Fumika and Shuuto.

"Last time I was here, you're village is very lively, in a good sense, but I wonder what happened now. And why would Shuuto do that in the first place?" he is asking too much now.

"These tanukis better behave themselves." Schek’s grin spreads wider, revealing a jagged assortment of teeth: some crooked, others unnaturally long and sharp, catching the light in a way that makes his amusement seem just a bit unsettling.

"So, the only real threat from this so-called war is a barrage of pies?" he continues, tilting his head with mock seriousness before letting out a low chuckle. "Aside from stepping in to stop their little feud, that sounds almost too easy." His tone carries the casual confidence of someone who believes he can handle far worse, as though the chaos ahead is already little more than an inconvenience in his mind.

A green kobold pirate arrives from the as he strides with pride evident on his face. His stance exudes confidence, perhaps even overconfidence, until... a flying pie almost hit him. Flicking his tail, he instinctively grabs his combat grapnel, ready for the incoming assault.

He turns to the one who was hit with the pie.

"Are you alright? Schek by the way." he asks. "Who could have done tha... Ah! Haha!" he stifles a laugh. It dawns on him that this might be a tanuki's welcoming prank to them. He wonders who threw it and begins looking around.
