This might be the last adventure for Ranalus, or maybe he will get to do Moonscar. I've played most (but not all) of the high-level PFS content. I kind of would like to do the last part so he can try out his new high-level abilities like Shades, but if you need to wrap this up then I understand.

I was offering three different Teleportation-type abilities to get it done really quickly IC, thereby not needing to waste time on the matter. You told me not to do it because you had it covered, despite lacking such capabilities. I didn't press the matter. I was offering to step in and do one of the problem-solving things that my character is good at (he certainly isn't good at combat or Diplomacy). I was not expecting anything to be hand-waved, as the journey with an NPC could indeed be quite perilous. The two-and-a-half-week IRL hiatus after that point unfortunately did leave Arvanor in limbo with an unresolved fate. I'm not looking for a fight here, I'm just saying what happened IC. I offered to bring Arvanor to safety, you told me not to, and then nothing happened with him. As far as we know he is still resting his head on a pack. I would rather have solved the situation "on-screen" with my character's capabilities. You would rather have it solved "off-screen" for understandable reasons about pacing.

Ranalus pokes through the ogrekins' items lazily. Then he is ready to move on. Going up the stairs from the room we are currently in is fine with me. As a note, Ranalus can use Door Sight 10 times per day, so not unlimited; I think he has used it 3 times so far. He will be judicious going forwards; listening at doors (Perception +36) and using Door Sight if he hears anything.

Hmm... I have some cool new abilities that it might be fun to try out (like the Shades spell), so I'm not adverse to combat. But I would rather it be an actually challenging one. It's not in this character's nature to throw out spell slots just for the sake of feeling like he contributed, not if the fight is well in hand. So I might say skip the trivial encounters but by all means please do retain any challenging ones. Or, I'm fine doing everything.

Ranalus looks at Arcturus in disbelief.
Ranalus took 15 damage out of his 129 HP, so not much at all. He has DR 10/Cold Iron. Has he brought barbarians back from death's door before their rage wears off? Has he seen wizards, thinking they were safe in the back rank, shredded by arrows? He shakes his head and accepts the healing. He thinks these are serious wounds... Really, what this character has going for him is a diverse array of utility spells and SLAs, plus his defenses - good saves, decent AC, and that incredible DR. That's why I was fine going in unbuffed and using very basic offensive options. Wasn't particularly concerned that he was in danger.

Ranalus is not overly alarmed by the weather. Winds and rain are not too dangerous to him, and he unfortunately lacks the requisite skills to understand what a mana storm can do. He doesn't have any ranks in Knowledge (Arcana), and has only 1 in Spellcraft. Yes, the crackling magic looks scary, but he may not understand just how much of a problem it is. Ranalus considers using Shadow Step or Teleport to get the party to the mill faster, but it doesn't seem so far away. He just takes a double move (so 80'). 1d100 ⇒ 1

I am pretty sure you would get some potential players if you put it out for recruitment - PFS Seeker opportunities are few and far between, and many would take any opportunity to play even just the third part of a module. So even though I don't think we need another PC, I think it would be a kindness to the PFS community to make that opportunity available. BUT... I am not sure how this works with the "Everyone begins at 33 XP" Seeker Arc mode for this module. I am pretty sure the Venture-Captains would let you bring in a replacement if it was just for the sake of increasing Seeker PFS opportunities.

Ah... I was going to say just take Slayer2 and use the Slayer Talent to get Rogue Talent (Combat Trick), but your archetype loses the Slayer 2 talent. Some other full-BAB classes give feats from a more limited selection at level 1 (like Blood Conduit Bloodrager or Gendarme Cavalier) but I don't know of any that give "any combat feat" besides fighter. Lore Warden or Skirmisher might be good choices, giving up armor proficiency for more skill points. Gloomblade gets a kind of cool trick at 1st in addition to the feat. As Arcturus says, though, Brawler for Martial Flexibility would let you pick up Spring-Heeled Reaping on the fly, plus you would also get Improved Unarmed Strike and +2 Ref over going Fighter. Ranalus gets Shades as an SLA next level...
