I always forget that you don't even have to try to acquire a boon. Given that the Guard doesn't give a free explore, that would have been the wiser choice.
We retcon'd my death, I think we should be able to forgive the Guard's encounter... Just this once, of course ;-)

I would say no. MM is at the Waterfront now, and can attempt the check against the Bandit if we get there. We don't have much time, so heading to the Glassworks is probably the better option.

Medallion is a per scenario temp replacement. No one used it this scenario.
Skill feat came from winning the first scenario in this tier (2-1A) and the Power fear came from the second (2-1B)
Power: "When you play a spell that has the Arcane trait during an encounter, you may examine the bottom of your deck;
if it is a spell (■ or an ally), you maye put it on top of your deck (□ or add it to your hand)."

Dungeons is auto-temp-closed by using the Potion of Fortitude.
So Radillo has a Dexterity 6 check to make. As a strategy that I just noticed by looking at Alahazra's cards, Radillo could use Phantasmal Minion to pull the Clockwork Butterfly to her. Then she gets a re-roll of 1 die if she fails the Dex check (which I'm sure sure won't!).
Now that the encounter has started, I don't think I could play a card to get a card that doesn't directly effect the check (and even that's still a grey area: Can Balazaar discard spells for monsters during an encounter?) But either way, getting a card via Phantasmal Minion has "at your location" in the power.
Not sure whats in everyone's hands, so I guess I'll be doing this on my own:

We can use mine, but Alahazra has a smaller discard pile... ;-)
I'd have trouble with temp closing the other locations, with Warrens and Nettle being within reach. Warrens would need a blessing and Nettle depends on the draw (but I've got a hand full of elemental pain, just Basics though)
