Hmm, this whole looking at cards by Alahazra is proving to be very useful.

We know where the villain is and where two henchmen are. We can go close the Thassalonian Dungeon and the Desecrated Vault and then go to the locations and corner the Villain. Very useful!


Ostog, I didn't scry yours as its basically all foes, and that's what you want!

In case you need help with disposing of the Poison trap, Ostog can spare his blessing from the gods. But you owe me a good turtle and mushroom soup!


I had forgotten the henchmen were the Poison Traps.

Well, with Ostog's blessing and my Flash freeze I'd have 3d4 to hit 5. To close, though, I'd only have 1d12+1 vs. 6. I'm sure Radillo or Alahazara would let me use a blessing.

What have we here?: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 4) = 7
Black Fang's not here: 2d12 + 1 ⇒ (12, 10) + 1 = 23

Hand: Potion of Fort, researcher, noxious bomb, lightning touch, tussah coat, cure
Discards: 2

@ closed vault. Someone needs to play a BoA for my close check.

With two of us at closed locations now might be a good time for the Skeleton Horde


True, the alternative is that we place ourselves at the locations that we can close and then encounter the Villain, hopefully defeating him and temp closing everything.

Radillo + blessing at Warrens for Dex check.
Ostog either at Nettlemaze for monster or Deeper Dungeons for Fort check.
Mother Myrtle at whichever Ostog doesn't do.
And Alahazra takes on the Dragon with her Holy Light!

Just a thought. :)

We can use mine, but Alahazra has a smaller discard pile... ;-)

I'd have trouble with temp closing the other locations, with Warrens and Nettle being within reach. Warrens would need a blessing and Nettle depends on the draw (but I've got a hand full of elemental pain, just Basics though)

With my Potion of Fortitude I can guarantee someone to close the Dungeons if they can defeat the poison trap (I have a Dex d4).


Mine is also d4


I think Radillo's idea is that she'll temp close the Warrens, Mother Myrtle temp closes the Dungeons with her Potion, Ostog temp closes the Nettlemaze by defeating some monster and Alahazra takes on Black Fang with the Frigid Blast + blessing.

So Mother moves to the Dungeons, I stay at the Nettlemaze, and Alahazra moves to the Cave and takes on the dragon.

If we're following the plan:

Turn 11 - Mother Myrtle - moves to the Dungeons and waits
Turn 12 - Ostog - tries to acquire the Mattock at the Nettlemaze and then stops.
Turn 13 - Alahazra moves to the Treacherous Cave and takes on Black Fang.

For temp-closes, Mother Myrtle auto-closes the Dungeons, Radillo tries to close the Warrens, and Ostog fights a monster to close the Nettlemaze.


Aounds good, though ostpg ahould try first in case he can't defeat the monster.

Dungeons is auto-temp-closed by using the Potion of Fortitude.

So Radillo has a Dexterity 6 check to make. As a strategy that I just noticed by looking at Alahazra's cards, Radillo could use Phantasmal Minion to pull the Clockwork Butterfly to her. Then she gets a re-roll of 1 die if she fails the Dex check (which I'm sure sure won't!).

Now that the encounter has started, I don't think I could play a card to get a card that doesn't directly effect the check (and even that's still a grey area: Can Balazaar discard spells for monsters during an encounter?) But either way, getting a card via Phantasmal Minion has "at your location" in the power.

Not sure whats in everyone's hands, so I guess I'll be doing this on my own:
