Thanks for running the game!

Grand Archive

Lol, somewhat the fact that its a quest went over my head ... no need for rolling twice for income =)

Grand Archive

Field Commisioned, Storied Talent.

Lore(E): Ancient Civilizations DC 22: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Lore(E): Ancient Civilizations DC 22: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30

"New wayfinders! This is indeed quite incredible ... to think that there's still so much left to find out about these lost civilizations. What an incredible finding, thanks everyone and I hope we find each other again soon!"

Grand Archive

"Good ridance, you foul creature." mutters Qidan as the prefect finally goes down upon Kyra's attack.

◆◆ Telekinetic Proyectile: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17 bludgeoning: 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2, 3) + 4 = 12
◆ Cast Shield

Grand Archive

Well, it seems it was a good idea to use true strike this time around.

Grand Archive

Qidan will focus his arcane power into his staff, finding confidence in striking try on his next attack and then follows with a Telekinetic Projetile against the lighting wielding prefect.

◆ Cast True Strike from Wand of Divination (2/3 charges remaining)
◆◆ Telekinetic Proyectile1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 161d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26 bludgeoning damage: 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 6, 5) + 4 = 21

Grand Archive

Fort Save DC 20: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

Qidan will take a step back and then cast a slow spell on the prefect that so far looks to be way too deadly to leave alone.

◆Step back
◆◆Cast Slow on prefect [DC 22 Fort Save]

Yeah, yet you STILL critted me =P

Grand Archive

Qidan will treat Kyra and then send another bolt of lightining at the constructs.

Healer's Gloves: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 6) + 7 = 17 on Kyra
◆◆ Telekinetic Proyectile: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18 to hit, 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 5, 1) + 4 = 12 bludgeoning wth with that amount of dice? gah forgot to close the first dice roll xD

Grand Archive

Qidan will send a whisp of lightning towards both the blue and red constructs.

◆◆Electric Arc red, blue: 3d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 4, 3) + 4 = 13, DC 22 Reflex basic save
◆ RK blue (arcana +14)

Grand Archive

Do those walls (are they even walls?) hinder line of sight? I'm not quite sure.

Grand Archive

lol, actually LTA activates for me at the start of next round, not inmediately. Quickened: You gain 1 additional action at the start of your turn each round. And LTA: Duration until the end of your next turn

Grand Archive

I believe that action left is from LTA? If so, Qidan will stay where he is.

Grand Archive

Qidan will start by enhancing everyone's movement thanks to catching the creatures unaware and then will try and identify the humanoid.

"Identify yourselves and stand down!" he loudly demands in Azlantean.

◆◆ Cast Loose Time Arrow
◆ Recall Knowledge (secret check)

Grand Archive

Qidan will detect magic and look out for any traps as they move forward. Careful Explorer

Grand Archive

Ah dang, just 1 short of the crit.

Grand Archive

Qidan will move to the eastern actuator and try to repair the fuse.

Engineering Lore: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 12 + 2 = 27 Ageless Patience

Grand Archive

Just wondering if the first west crit roll from Sev counts as 2 successes or not in order to move to the east one.

Grand Archive

Qidan approaches the wast actuator and tried his luck with it, taking his sweet time in order to get it right.

Engineering Lore: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 12 + 2 = 21 Ageless Patience

Grand Archive

I could do either east/west with engineering.

Grand Archive

"Well, that's Azlanti ... it from the ancient civilizations that once ruled the whole place with incredible magic and technology that no longer exists now, or at least that no one remembers. Truth be told its quite interesting." replies Qidan, still amazed at being in the same place as an ancient azlanti device working ... sort of.

Grand Archive

At the mention of the ruins, Qidan eyes shine with glee. "Azlantian ruins you say? Finally another chance to take a look at the magnificent work of that civilization!"

He then sobers up a bit and adds "Though I must say that these are usually as interesting as they are dangerous, so everyone, be on your toes until we leave the place."

Religion: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 2 = 24 Ageless Patience

I would like to make a case for rolling Lore: Ancient Civilizations since he is actually and archaeologist and has Azlanti in his languagues.

Ancient Civilizations Lore: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 14 + 2 = 17 Unmistakable Lore, Ageless Patience

Grand Archive

A somewhat relaxed pale skinned elf wearing a leather armor that seems too heavy for his slim frame approaches the group and introduces himself to everyone.

"Hello fellow pathfinders, my name is Qidan and I'm a freelance archaeologist for the society ... or at least that's how it started. Nowadays I'm working full time here specially when dealing with ruins, ancient civilizations and artifacts."

Grand Archive

No glyphs here.

Skillful, rugged and magical mentorship for those who need it.

Grand Archive

"Amazing! I'm sure those who doubt the might of wizards will have to rethink their views once they hear of our heroics!" Qidan says exited.

"If I were to name this group, I'd say force barrage would be fitting, considering our last encounter"

Grand Archive

Not knowing if he should feel thankful or not for being ignored by the dragon, Qidan is quite intent on making the most out of it.

◆◆◆ Cast Magic Missile Force Damage: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1, 3) + 3 = 10

Grand Archive

Well, I'm repositioning myself to either be the decoy and go down in glory or to snipe at him next turn.

Grand Archive

As much as he'd like to continue the barrage of foce missiles towards the dragon, Qidan can't help but be overly worried about everyone being so tightly packed together ... dragons are know for having breath weapons after all, though he isn't sure if such a young one can already use that attack ... still, better act with caution.

Having seen how the dragon decimated the summon with such ease, Qidan moves with incredible caution to reposition himself, either to act as a decoy or to continue the barrage himself afterwards.

◆Step 5' north
◆Step 5' north
◆Step 5' north

Grand Archive

lol, we're all tightly packed together against a dragon and no one moved. I wonder what comes next

Grand Archive

Ohhh! That sounds like a really nice vacation!

Covid... yeah I remember getting that bugger a year or so ago ... just get some good rest and a lot of water.

Welcome back!

Grand Archive

i do wonder if he is still around.

Considering the amount of games he's played I doubt he's just gone silent ... I hope he's ok.

Grand Archive

Ping?

Grand Archive

"Very well, this is going to be a tough one, so here, I have 6 elixirs one for each of us to use."

Ready to go. Leanrt Beffudle and took Enhanced Familiar & Battle Medicine + going with draconic as my ancestral language for the day.

Grand Archive

Ohhhh! Nice idea!

Grand Archive

Magic Missile bonanza! I never did the math (I've GMed it a couple of times now) because I always wanted to find out just how much you can do with it. Hence when I saw this pbp I just jumped in to see it =)

If we play at level 2 that locks in the build for the character doesn't it?

No, it doesn't. What happens in the APs matters little to nothing to your PFS character ... say if you play abomination vaults complete you'll get up to level 10, yet you'll only get like 12xp for your PFS character slot. You can even play a wizard and give the xp to your gunslinger ... it matters not.

Having said that, let's go explore that room.

Grand Archive

As far as I know there are no penalties for dying in adventure mode

Having said that, I'd be quite interested in seeing if we can pull that one off before getting killed =)

After resting, of course.

Grand Archive

"Sounds like a good idea", replies Qidan. "I just hope nothing happens in the meantime though, we are leaving a hatchling dragon alone now, with no one to feed or control it."

Grand Archive

With a cough of blood, Qidan spits to the floor as he concentrates on his link with his familiar, feeling the soothing energy that bonds them mend his wounds.

"We'll see about that!" he shouts back at the kobold as he takes out an elixir from his belt and raises his magical shield to prevent another attack like the last one.

◆Command Familiar
◇◇Restorative Familiar Healing: 1d8 ⇒ 7
◆Take out elixir
◆Cast Shield

Grand Archive

Qidan will start assaulting the figure in the throne with 3 magic missiles.

◆◆◆ Magic Missile Force Damage: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4, 1) + 3 = 12

Grand Archive

"Well, it's been a long time since I had casted so many spells in such a short time. Good job everyone, let's get moving."

Qidan will handle an elixir to his familiar (manual dexterity) in case its needed and start moving cautiously ahead.

◇ Exploration: Defend.

Grand Archive

Qidan will move back and take a look at what the others try, throwing a lance of ice towards the only corner in his line of sight (upper right corner)

◆ Move Back
◆◆ Cast Ray of Frost 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Grand Archive

Well, I have nothing on thievery. What about the rest of you guys?

Grand Archive

I'll postpone that until we get past Zolgran then, good point.

Looking towards Khaldan and his confused face, Qidan quips in with a grin, "As far as I know, a dragon that matches that description would indeed be ..." Arcana: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

After that, he agrees on how to proceed. "Very well, south it is then."

Grand Archive

"A dragon!? Down here? No wonder so many fish were missing. Even if it's a hatchiling dragons are not being to be messed with. Once it runs out of food or if it gets on a bad mood it'll eat all of the goblins in here and cause a disaster on the town."

He catches his breath for a second as he continues.

"What to do with it though? I have no knowledge on taming dragons and I'm quite sure whoever is feeding it right now will not be pleaseantly surprised to find us. So, what do you say? Fight or flee?" he asks the rest of the wizardly group, wondering if perhaps someone else should take care of such a monster.

Grand Archive

After moving in order to have a clear vision on their foes, Qidan will attack the injured kobolds with an arc of electricity.

◆ Stride
◆◆ Electric Arc Electric Damage DC 17: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Grand Archive

No problem. -Ed-s just my main handle and the one that opens by default on my browser so I can see all my threads at the same time (and check for new messages) instead of having to click on each Alias for every game.

Grand Archive

Athletics +2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

For some reason I really don't think this is going to go right with 6 wizards xD

Grand Archive

Why am I a "previous" player? Did I miss the memo?

O.o

Grand Archive

Believe it or not it was quite useful for me in order to go 4 healing elixirs this time and get the familiar healing option. We need all the healing we can get!

Qidan will also change his hair color since the previous avatar face was getting on my nerves for some reason.

Grand Archive

Alright, changed spells, familiar ability and prepared alchemy. It's all in the statblock.
