The idea was that the 1 point of fire damage could do something. Not much, but something.

Qadar will only fly as far as he can see - he has low-light vision, but not darkvision. If nothing else, he might determine a direction of the sound without betraying our presence early.

Qadar sings a slow, mournful melody that floats in the cold night air. He tries to discretely warm Angoldir that something approaches with the song.
