Pyros, polishes his helmet relic flamer, ensuring it is ready to send great gouts of flame to cleanse his enemies!

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Really sorry guys, 1 thing after another! A new recruit at work, my second job and a one year old at home who has decided to start not sleeping again, I am exhausted and need some rest. Unfortunately that means my hobby time is taking a hit, and I have had to ditch a game, I was in. However, I still want to be involved in this one. Hopefully should be back with it towards the end of next week, just need to get some sleep and get my head into getting stuff off my workpile.
Sorry again.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Sorry, unfortunately having serious technical issues. Laptop has completely failed due to an update and phone has now died as well. Having to use a frustratingly slow old tablet, so posting may be sketchy until I can get a new phone. Feel free to not me as needed.

Int/F Lore Deathwatch 63: 1d100 ⇒ 9 5dos

Recognising the simple differences in greeting, Pyros returns it with the appropriate subtleties of gesture. His mind flickers back through all his memories, before grasping firmly onto the files he had read with Knight Warden Alric featuring in them.

It depends how you want to play out the history of the Defiled Mantle of the Crusader that Pyros wears (Xenos or Daemon), but Valens's might register it too.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Returning Alric's salute, Pyros is quick to speak. "Greetings Knight Warden, I am Brother Pyros, although I am guessing you have already been briefed about us all. It will be good to finally assume the roles we have been training for, so please lead on, we can study the ship once we have met it's lead officers."

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Command Vs 80: 1d100 ⇒ 68 [/ooc]1dos right? I am rather rusty! Prepare to Repel Borders! +15 to any opposed command tests I have to make against enemy boarders [/ooc]
Issuing a string of orders into his vox unit Pyros stands the ship's armsmen to arms, posting them to prearranged areas of the ship and listening to reports coming back.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

I had kind of said I was doing that, but without knowing much of the Rogue Trader stuff I didn't know there was an official action for it. I will put up a command roll.

Tactics(Void combat) 60: 1d100 ⇒ 63

"Well Brother Vartas, it would seem we are the first here, although from what I remember from the Dark Tide's specification, it had some advanced stealth modifications. I would imagine anyone already here would have seen us arrive, should we broadcast out and then move to hide in the shadow of one of the planets? In the meantime whilst we are vulnerable, and obviously with your permission, I will stand the ship's armsmen to their posts."

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Well all firefighters have at least a little pyromaniac streak ;)
To be honest it was some of their other qualities that I particularly like, but it always helps to have something you know a little about.
I had heard China could be quite restrictive on things like that, but it is hard to imagine missing out on the things you get used to.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

A GM I have for another game, uploads images into Imgur and just adds in a link. I have never used it, so I don't know how easy that is. Another GM used Roll20, it gives a lot of options: you can draw maps, you can add symbols, you can make it possible for all characters to move their own icons around etc, however it is a pain from a mobile (and I think there is/can be a cost involved). I would have thought any program that allows you to upload an image and then can copy and paste the link should work if we are just talking a picture of a sketch. Off to work now, and we have a new firefighter starting today, so I will be fairly busy, but will get a post up later.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Although stubborn like most of his chapter, his connection with the people of Vulcan has kept Pyros' sense of humour and at Xing's words his anger dissipates and a deep chuckle erupts instead. "I must be getting more prickly than I thought in my old age, if I saw offence where there was none and then gave offence when I didn't really mean it either. I guess doubts still reside over whether I did the right thing. Still it is done and I won't lose a comrade over it, for that my heart is now glad. You are right fear is a useful weapon, and that was a keen observation, for now though we will just have to make them fear us and the weapons that we wield!"

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Yeah well done everyone, awesome to see the commitment coming straight in full throttle. I was answering a question about 'dealing with interparty conflict' and I think this is a great example, where we get to play our characters and yet resolve the issue.
Valens, I look forward to when Pyros and Valens get some more interplay. The machine focussed tech-marine and the human focussed marine with a fascination with the machine, should make for interesting conflicts over priorities whilst trying to help each other!

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Bowing to Brother Pardis' wisdom, Pyros salutes and leaves the meeting, his mind seething with white hot rage. As he goes he speaks briefly to Brothers Deleos and Xing. " Let us start tomorrow in Sparring room A5." Heading off to the forge, Pyros forges his anger, shaping it and moulding it to be useful in the future. The calm of the forge despite the loud noises, helps Pyros to focus his mind and he is ready the following morning at the sparring room.
Again not referencing the incident he works through his prepared lesson, pointing out the weak points in the Necron types he is aware of, before giving them a chance to spar against each other. As Deleos and Xing start, he automatically notes strengths and weaknesses, storing them away to work on later.
Stepping in, he takes a turn against Deleos. As Deleos confesses his thoughts,, Pyros listens carefully before replying when Deleos has finished. " Brother that dream is not something I have seen and yet, some of what you say is the potential nightmare future that could come to pass. You do me much undeserved honour with what you say, for I have my doubts and it was not all forethought and long term planning. My previous service gives me an understanding about what the enemy we face, but it is merely the tip of the iceberg and I know not what waits below. I can not predict the future and I may well be wrong to have given up the blade, but I have learnt over many years that often one's first instinct is the right one. If we meet more of the necrons with such blades and brothers fall beneath them I will carry them with me, but it will be on me alone. I thank you for your support though. As for Brother Pardis, within every organisation there are different approaches. If he does not agree with my approach well he may be right, but I figured any opportunity to divide them is worth the risk. I will say as much to him, if it comes up. If it helps I am with you, I may hate and whish to purge the xenos, but I will do what is necessary to keep the Imperium safe. Now I had better confront Brother Xing and resolve this." Disengaging from the fight with Deleos, Pyros engages Xing. The clear tension leads to a sparring session that increases quickly in intensity. Pyros' defence barely holds against the lightning fast and almost precognitive attacks from Xing, and yet when he lands blows, they equally strain Xing's defence with their power. Eventually at an obvious break as the two warriors step back to catch their breath, Pyros speaks. "Brother, your words hurt my pride yesterday as you lashed out at me with insult. I have now buried my pride for that is one of the many openings for corruption. I admit, I may have been wrong about the blade. However I stand by my decision and would do it again. I still believe that the opportunity to divide the enemy and thereby weaken them, is more important than the knowledge we would have gained from the weapon itself. This is why we must find common ground, for divided we are no better, and division between us is the chink in the armour that could let us all fail. I bear the responsibility for any brothers that fall to those weapons in the future and I alone, it was not an easy choice and they may haunt me, but it is made. Should something similar happen again and I am in the position of squad leader, then next time I will ask the squad's views, but equally, next time we will all know more about the enemy we face. Is that fair? Does that explain my motivation? Does that help put us somewhere that we can move on from? If not, then I guess we had better go for another round" Stepping back, Pyros drops into a balanced stance, but with his hands open in a friendly gesture.

I hope that fits and doesn't overstep Deleos and Xing

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Pyros' eyes glow the brighter red of an ember flaring under the air of the bellows, the only outward sign of the anger inside.
"Brother, in this instance you are right, this isn't the place to discuss this, but clearly there is an issue between us that must be resolved before we go into battle together. If we do not, then we do to ourselves what I was trying to achieve amongst our enemy, namely dividing forces and spreading distrust. Divide and conquer may be an ancient tactic, but it is still a valid one"

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

"Brother Xing, I know we disagreed over my handling of our encounter with the xenos blade, but if you question my thoughts and will I would have you speak plainly. We are brothers after all and I would not have us leave unfinished business. I agree knowledge can be dangerous, but I will take such risks upon me if needed, so that others do not have to."

I hope that doesn't come out too confrontational, just Xing's comments about knowledge on the heels of Pyros' made me think he would want to clear up any issues.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

"Our newest member speaks first, I would say that is a good start as you will be leading the way, when we go dirtside. For me, well I am a Salamander, and as such I favour the implacable advance, enduring until I am within range to cleanse the enemy with flame or hammer. That being said however, I am much older now, old even for one of the Emperor's warriors. I find that I am a smith now, guiding the flame and metal of my squad mates, using my knowledge to harden them against the foe. In return as the smith becomes strengthened by the heat of the forge and the working of the metal, so I find that my squad mates harden and strengthen me too. As such, I would know more of the enemy, their types, their ways and their tactics, for it is more knowledge that I rely on now."

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

I see it somewhere between Deleos and Bayou I think. At the end of the day this is such a fantasy world and we are dealing with things so far out of our own knowledge (how many of us are military/ex, tech experts, ships captains, medic/doctors etc). The tactics roll gives you (Bayou) a chance to push us in the direction you see the encounter going, but not force us (hence the options). For example I know very little about technology, I might think it is perfectly acceptable to run the squad up under fire to a main gate and wait for our tech-marine to open it by hacking it. You however might see that as an extended skill test that will take time and we will be looking at a total party kill by the wall guns. What you could suggest on a successful roll is that the guns look dangerous and that the codex suggests using cover or distraction. Further successes might suggest an example involving forces attacking from an alternative direction, using the cover of night, rolling up behind an armoured vehicle or using smoke. It is then up to us to decide which method we want to use.
However I have to say Maxim's idea sounds good too. For example squad deployment on patrol could go a long way to make up for poor awareness rolls. Perhaps one marine is outside of the ambush area, or the squad get a reroll/bonus on the roll as they are expecting an ambush. Or if for Stealth and subterfuge, use of scouts/ flank guards might make up for the fact that one of the party (me) is really loud and obvious!

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Oh most definitely and I wouldn't want to step on our Lord Captain Ultra Smurf's toes ;)
(who I am kidding, playing a meddling old 'man' trying to be 'helpful', is exactly that)
Looking at Vartas' character sheet, orbital drop would be more useful to the team, it just wouldn't be as relevant to Pyros' job.
Also with my 'mentor' talent I can actually be helpful to him.
Edit:- Who knew! You mention smurfs, and it changes your image!

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Oh, I also wanted to say that I deleted the background I had done, when this was on hiatus (annoyingly maybe a month before we restarted!) Am reworking on it.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

I'm happy with the switch with Ulrich, second in command suits Pyros' character better if not all his talents. I get to be more of a mentor/old man, which was what I had in mind. (Sorry Ulrich, I will try and avoid any 'back in my day, the Ork's were orkier!')
Edit:- Plus Master of Esthetics definitely suits Ulrich better!

In which case, I think that brings me to command +20
And as master at arms, would Tactics (Void combat) be the best option to cover boarding actions do you think? I was going to take Tactics (Orbital drops) as commander of ground troops.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Pyros steps towards Brother Valens and salutes, his fist crashing against his chest.

"Brother Valens, you come at an opportune moment, we could do with a technical mind when we face such a technological enemy, xenos filth as it may be. I am Pyros V'estian of the Salamanders and soon to be Master at Arms of the Dark Tide. This is Honoured Brother Padris, Brother Chaplain Deleos, Brother Librarian Xing, Wolf Priest Ulrich and Brother Lucian. Brothers, this seems like an opportune moment, if you will allow me. As a group we lack for a stealthy option, a scout. Whilst Ulrich has been drilling the troops aboard, I have identified a likely candidate Maxim Ashvayne of the Shadowhawks chapter. I know little of his chapter, but he has a keen eye and a quiet tread. I believe he has already been identified as a possible Master of Ordinance for the Dark Tide and I would suggest he be invited in to this meeting. I have him standing by in case. What say you?"

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Ok have decided to play about with my requisition:
Signum 35
Surtur's Breath (relic heavy flamer) 25
Iron Halo 40
Dipole maglock for hammer 5
Omnitool 25
Salamanders mantle 20
Astartes Targeter 25
Auxiliary grenade launcher 15
Arm mounting 10
=200
And to change the clip of rounds I get from being a tactical marine, to Witch Bolts.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

"I have no doubt that my brothers here will swear the oaths you ask, and I have to say my heart will be glad to share such secrets with my trusted brothers. I will aid you as best I can ancient one."

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Pyros bows low in respect for the ancient one. " Honoured brother, I have served in a small capacity that has brought me into contact with these necrons before, and yet I still know very little. Would you tell us your story and what you have therefore found to be their strengths and weaknesses. I understand one of their strengths to be their ability to heal from grievous wounds, do you know how we might stop this? And lastly do you know what happens to them when they disappear?"

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Oh and I think Pyros' role on ship was commander of the Deathwatch troops.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Standard issue:
Bolt pistol, 3 frag, 3 Krak, combat knife, repair cement, Vigil Brazier. Bolter with fire selector, 1 clip vengeance rounds.

Signature Wargear:
Mantle of the Defiled Crusader,
Exceptional Thunder hammer with Promethean's blessing. So being that this had been raised, I understood this had been raised to Master crafted, had lost the unwieldy characteristic and was sanctified as well. Was that right? Also how does that then work with the Salamander solo mode that removes the unwieldy characteristic? Can I use that on something else or do I need that to be able to use swift attack with it. (Haven't got it yet, as seemed irrelevant until I could use the hammer for it?)
Requisition: Signum 35
Suturs breath (Relic heavy flamer) 25
Iron halo 40
Dipole maglock (for hammer) 5
Astartes omnitool 25
Meltagun and red dot sight20+10
Salamanders mantle 20
=180
If no-one else wants the Triflame Vambrace (Xing expressed an interest previously) I will take this instead for a total of 190.
Happy to throw what's left in the pot and even ditch bits if someone has a better idea. Was tempted to upgrade the melta to a multimelta.
Also as my tactical marine special ammo choice, I chose Vengeance rounds.

I think we had said Command +20 and Tactics (Orbital drop procedures) for Pyros' development onboard ship.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Bayou, having caught up I had just a couple of quick questions. Just before the pause there was talk of getting increases to command/tactics/ pilot etc depending on character, had they been officially settled on as I can't see them in my character sheet and was wondering if that was just me not having updated before we paused.
Secondly, I was looking at slightly changing my requisition now that we will be having a sneaky character the 'Skull of Brantor' seems less necessary. Would that be ok?

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Phew, just reread, took a while, but really enjoyed it.
Yeah we dip in and out of modes, don't worry too much about it, although maybe think of taking the talent 'Forging the Bond' (In Rites of Battle p226), it allows you to access other chapter specific squad modes when someone instigates them.
As for range, hopefully it will be a mix, I mean it wouldn't be cinematic for Pyros to always be in the thick of it flaming and smashing! Sometimes he has to advance, enduring withering enemy fire! But seriously, Bayou is very good at balancing people's skills and the story.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

I also forgot that Ulrich took Wolf Priest, so we might actually have apothecary covered too!

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

I think the things we are most down are an Apothecary, a Techmarine (and I can cover Tech-use up to a point)and someone sneaky. We currently have 2 tactical marines (well at least partly) and 1 librarian. Having said that!!! I'm pretty sure that it was this game that I was advised to play the character you really want to play, then you stick with it, and here we are!

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Excellent, so many back!
We don't need sneaky! I have that covered, I just need to beat that target of 0! ;) I am really not a scout's friend, with all the clanky shiny stuff and glowing red eyes!
Pyros V'estian is a Salamander tactical marine who spent some time as a Dead Station Vigilant, (although obviously this isn't talked about!) before being asked to return for a second term in the Deathwatch where he has gained first company status. He is adorned in exquisite war material: an ancient set of armour that he aims to cleanse of its tainted history, a master crafted thunder hammer made by his own hand that bursts into flame and a relic flamer when appropriate to the mission (although last mission he took a storm shield instead). He also tends to fit a shoulder grenade launcher and is often seen wearing a very old and very battered salamander cloak. In combat he advances to contact, flaming as he goes, before swinging away with his hammer and enduring.
A very old marine (he would prefer the term venerable!) He is fiercely intelligent and knowledgeable with a commanding presence, although often prefers to take a second in command/Mentor/Sergeant supporting the officer role. Like many of his chapter his knowledge extends heavily into the technical, and his manner is more human than your average space marine. On board the new ship, Pyros has been made commander of the Deathwatch ground forces aboard, with Wolf Priest Ulrich as his second.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

I had better do some re-reading!

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

This didn't appear on my feed, as these show as previous campaigns, it was only because I happened to look at the recruitment thread. Maybe try PMing people?

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

To borrow a quote from Captain Leitz of the Exorcists:
"We shall never rest while a single renegade draws breath. Let them fear our names.'
I am glad you are back!

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

I'm not sure if anyone will see this, and I don't want to get anyone's hopes up if they see a post, but I just wanted to say thanks. I really enjoyed this game short though it was. The concept was really good, made brilliant by the roleplaying everyone went for. I hope the RL problems that took people's time away are all good ones and wish you many happy games in the future.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Still here, just about.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Training cont.:
The initial meeting with the Deathwatch troops completed, Pyros and Ulrich share some training, but not all. Pyros sits in on talks; about key areas of the ship that must be defended in the event of a boarding action; where additional weapons and equipment stores are kept; and even self-destruct sequences, should everything else fail. Pyros has in depth training with Sabira on what a ship in orbit can provide for teams on the ground along with insertion methods and the realistic requirements of distances and speeds in space, to allow the ship cover whilst deathwatch teams work. However most of Pyros' time is spent with the Deathwatch teams he will be commanding. He makes an effort to get to know as many as possible, offering hints and tips and taking those offered to him in return. Where he recognises Dead station tactics, Pyros takes the time to exchange the hand gestures and code phrases that mark him as one of them. Pyros engages the teams in a selection of different training exercises, identifying each teams strengths and weaknesses. His time amongst the Deathwatch allows Pyros to understand the different ways of war used by the myriad of chapters present and not just the endurance tactics of the Salamanders. Where Pyros sees new tactics he spends time with those teams involved to better understand their use of those tactics and the interpretation of the Codex Astartes that has initiated them. Whenever confronted with direct questions about the Necrons or their tactics, Pyros avoids questions where possible and refuses to answer if needed. He does suggest training and tactics for armoured foes the need to smash foes into small pieces.
News of Pardis' awakening finds Pyros deep in discussion with Asudai, their Chapter's vast differences have led to heated debates over tactics, however they have now started to hammer out ways of using them together. (A stationary tough anvil and a lightning fast hammer) Interrupted by the message, Pyros claps Asudai on the shoulder, leaves training with him and heads off to prepare for the meeting with such an honoured ancestor.

Entering the Mechanicum Chapel-forge, Pyros breathes deeply of the smells of worked metal, arcing electricity and ozone, his faces crinkles into a smile at the refreshing heat that warms his face. Seeing Lucian and Deleos already there he salutes them with the crashing of his fist against his chest.
"Welcome brothers, I have not seen much of either of you in these busy training times. I hope things fare well with both of you. I am anxious to meet our honoured ancestor here, but is good to see you both also. The Lord Inquisitor clearly expects important hings on this mission, for the Deathwatch brothers who accompany us are very worthy warriors, every one."

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Travelling to Greece tomorrow to see the In-laws. Will be able to post from there, but probably not until Sunday or Monday.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

At the meeting of the captain, Pyros stands at attention, when the captain has finished and after Deleos has spoken he bows low. "Understood captain, I think my brother has covered it, but nonetheless thank you."

Hammern, I hope you don't mind my start. I figure as our roles are linked we would probably share a lot of the same training.

As the meeting with the captain breaks apart, three characters approach Hammern and Pyros. The first to catch the eye due to his size, is a fellow Astartes, a grizzled veteran of the White Scars. Next to the imposing superhuman stand an immaculately dressed naval officer and a heavily scarred man in the carapace armour of the ships security force. The Astartes speaks first in a growly voice reminiscent of two stones grinding together. " Greeting's brothers, I am Asudai. As the senior squad leader I have been sent to greet you and act as your 1st sergeant for now." Obviously having noticed the other two approaching, he steps back to let them speak as well. Noticing her cue, the immaculately dressed naval officer pipes up " Pyros V'estian, Ulrich Hammern, I am Sabira, executive officer of this ship, and this is Rogan, the master at arms. We have been assigned to train you both. I will be covering what we as ships officers would expect from our passengers and what we can offer with regards to insertion of troops, support and reporting structures. Rogan will cover the role of Master at Arms. I realise that Brother Hammern has been appointed master at arms, but in the defence of the ship it is likely that any and all troops aboard could be required and it will be useful for you both to understand some of both roles."
Pyros addresses the trio. " Many thanks to you all for this, it will be an honour to train with, learn from and even fight beside you. If it is possible I would like a chance to speak to all our squads as soon as possible, is there somewhere we could use?"

Several hours later, Pyros finds himself and Hammern entering a hangar that has been cleared of crew. In front of them stand the assembled ranks of the astartes squads aboard. As they enter Asudai brings them to attention and the perfectly in step sound of boots hitting the ground reverberates around the chamber. Stepping forward Pyros adopts a parade ground voice and speaks out. " At ease brothers. I am Pyros of the Salamanders and this is Ulrich of the Space Wolves. We have been appointed as your commanders for the immediate future. I worried I would need to say a lot about your duty to Chapter, the Deathwatch and the Emperor, but then I saw you. Before me stands one of the finest bodies of Astartes I have ever seen and I am honoured to have the chance to fight beside you and lead you into battle. I recognise some of you and that I think is a good thing. Over the next few weeks we will train extensively so that we get to learn what each other can do and so that we can hone our skills at all forms of warfare. We know little of what to we will be asked to do when we reach the Dark Tide, so we must be prepared for whatever the xenos may throw at us. We will be both the hammer and the anvil that will crush all the xenos and bring more glory to the Emperor the father of our fathers. For the Emperor!" Raising his hammer he shouts the last and the hangar is filled with noise. Stepping back he offers the floor to Ulrich.

More to come.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

I don't think we had covered Pyros' skills, but I was thinking probably the next Command and then either Tactics (Orbital Drop Procedures) or Schol Lore (Codex Astartes +10) probably the drop tactics.

@Bayou When you get the chance, would it be possible to stick the build of the Dark Tide into the Campaign Info tab? It might just make it a little easier to find further down the road.
Edit:- Forget that last bit Bayou, sorry I just found the profile you set up for the Dark Tide.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

So I think that means 16 spare if you can use them Brothers Hammern or Xing. Otherwise I concur with Xing's suggestion of Haywire stuff.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Defiled Mantle of the Crusader is the armour that Pyros is working on cleansing, it was one of only a few in that book that didn't seem to rely on heroic legacies as much.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

With a large servitor crew, I did wonder if it was worth getting an Astartes Omnitool for Brother Varryl. I am a little screwed if we have to be sneaky, but would just have to use my hammer I guess!

25 from First Founding. I could give up my combitool if it helps.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

I had better put mine in then!
Iron Halo 40
Combitool 15
Skull of Brantor 35
Dipolemaglock 5
Astartes Targeter 25
Hvy Flamer 15
Multi Melta 35
Suspensor 25

5 spare

Unless anyone has any better ideas?

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Sorry I have been a bit quiet, was considering the tri-flame myself, but Surtur's breath will be coming out to play! I am happy to take the signum again, or we could take the Skull of Brantor. Going to have a better look tomorrow.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

"Very well, Lord Inquisitor. I personally look forward to seeing the Inquisitor again and will be interested to meet Brother Pardis. I will go now and pack my tools."

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Sounds like a good idea, still totting up, but will probably have some to drop in the communal pot.

That is what I thought, but was trying to find the least cheeky way of asking. ;)

"Lord Inquisitor, I think I speak for us all in saying that we are honoured to be trusted with such a magnificent ship and I personally am looking forward to meeting the brothers and other servants of the Emperor. Having worked with Inquisitor Ramseus in the past, I think it perhaps puts me in the best position to ask these questions. How long would you have us wait at the rendevous and would you have us investigate if she doesn't appear? Do we have any idea what she was working on and therefore what threats we might expect? Obviously I do not expect a full answer to the last, but anything you might give us could be useful if we have to investigate."

As regards 'Packing our belongings' do we have some Requisition points for this? And just to confirm, I have Command +10 already so is that +11 now?
