Does this trick have to be announced at the point the GM says, "The troll is attacking you."? Or does the GM roll, and then you can use the shield trick to beat his roll? Shield Focus
"It says- When an attack "is made against you."
I can see it either way, but looking to clarify, thanks.
I am currently made level 3 fighter, but instead I'm thinking about making a switch to barbarian. I was wondering if this is a good time or should I make 5th level fighter then at 6th, make the switch? Also, if a fighter goes barbarian, and as a fighter has combat stamina, do I keep the combat stamina and the tricks as a 1st level barbarian, and then when when I switch back to fighter, does he keep rage? Thanks
I was under the impression you could have as many Ioun stones as you could afford and wear, then we found this... The Ioun stones (DMG, 176) have no limitations on more than one being used, so you can absolutely do that! But they do require attunement, so unless you can attune to more than 3 items, you can only have 3 going at any given time (and no other magic items.)
is this outdated? if it is can you lost the link? Thank you
I have been researching this topic and I find a lot of views.
Do spell like abilities provoke an AoO if the spells have no somatic or verbal components, only emotional and thought. Im not saying he cannot get singled out and attacked, just wondering about this AoO. If he does provoke, then he still gets the opportunity to not provoke by casting defensively.
What exactly can the summoner have his summoned
Can the summoner have his summons walk in front of him
Can the summoner have his summons scout a dungeon hall way
These are just two very basic questions and tasks that seem like
What about tasking a dolphin to grab a rope and tow the boat? Or a bird or eagle to grab an item or carry a rope end from A to b? ****** would any of these tasks require a Handle animal check? What other basic commands would they understand from summoner to Summoned creatures?
So I am playing a Master Summoner,
My question is, when I summon a small creature
My Gm says the creatures only go up 1 size step as I illustrated above. I believe, as the rod states, "causing all of her summoned creatures to gain the giant simple template." -- so regardless if it's small or large, they become giant
OR, is it just 1 step up small to medium, medium to large, large to giant size. If it is one step sized increase, what's the size bonus'
It is not the same as enlarge.... it goes straight to mentioning the giant template.... "causing all of her summoned creatures to gain the giant simple template." It's a rod of giant Summoning.... not a rod of enlarge Summoning...
I was under the impression that evil clerics could
So if this is not true, it would be harder for an evil
Seems to me that even evil deities would want to do something to keep their minions alive longer?. I understand there are feats that will allow the healing but is this true?
So I can summon a crocodile now, a MS3 spell
It further reads under "Death Roll"
So does all this happen during his full round attack, all st once? Bite (say it's grab is successful, tailslap, does the death roll, and trips? Or is it bite/grab next round I'd death roll?
Designing a new weapon....
I want a custom made glaive.
If I need to purchase three more design points for
I see no rules that state how to
Can somebody help me out.
So if I summon a badger that goes into a blood rage, and I have augmented summoning, does the summon badger get the strength and constitution bonuses for raging? Or would that be the same sort of bonus that comes with spells like bulls strength and bears endurance? Or is this rage that the badger is in something totally different, and he gets that bonus for being angry.
Also a Wolverine flies into a rage, is this the same as a badger gets? The badger says blood rage and all I see is the spell blood rage? So1) wondering what rage the badger gets? Blood rage spell definition or rage like a wolverine? 2) is this rage bonus a morale bonus that allows stacking of stats? With augmented summoning?
When I look at the Summon Monster stats for Summon Monster spells and expanded summon monster spells, those creatures do not have the augmented summoning bonus figured in. Some do some do not. So I am asking, do I just manually add the strength and constitution bonus in there for the ones that do not reflect? I'm sure we've all ran into this for those who have played summoners so I'm just wondering if that's what I do
I am a level 3 Master Summoner,
1) When I summon a Giant Ant Worker the attacks show this;
So, The ant makes a bite roll, it then rolls CMB... If that hits Then he rolls sting attack, and gets the damage and poison damage? is this all in one attack if he makes all his rolls successful? 2) is all that applied to a smite attack as well?
I’m playing a Gnome Summoner, currently 2nd level. Do I need to make concentration check for the spell
Just wondering… seems like the casting time is pretty fast.
I need some solid clarification regarding
Here's the scenario- 1) Hunter's mountain lion attacks-
2) The bad guy goes.
3) The mountain lion attacks again.
Then repeats step 2 and 3 if need be? **If this is incorrect, how does the lion get his Rake attack, step by step?** Thanks for your help and insight.
Get Heighten Spell; cast Mount at whatever level you like.
Does this work? Is this limited to level 1 creatures? What about phantom steed? It’s 3rd a level spell... So the question is.......
2) And if so, what LEVEL of creature do you get to pick
I know this question is very very busy,
I’m reading about the Devine Hunter,
If the divine hunter selects the animal domain, she does not gain a second animal companion upon reaching an effective cleric level of 4th. When the divine hunter would gain that ability, her animal companion instead gains two ability score increases (gaining +1 to two different ability scores or +2 to one ability score). If her animal companion dies or is released, when she gains a new one, it benefits from this ability score increase So if you choose something other then Animal

I am thinking about taking Intensify Spell for my next feat. If I prepare a 3rd level spell such as fireball as an intense spell (which means using a 4th level spell slot), can I use a rod of maximize, lesser (which works on 1-3rd level spells on that spell? Rules seem more unclear than most on this issue to me. The forums also seem divided on this issue. Do either of you know or have an opinion? I really could see this one either way.
OK,
Regarding Damage-
Regarding Bonus to Strike-
(It says the enhancement bonus is +2 higher then normally for Bane) I believe this is correct but I just want to clarify.
Benefit: Once per day, a rogue with this talent can designate a single enemy she is adjacent to as her prey. Until the end of her next turn, she can add her sneak attack damage to all attacks made against her prey, even if she is not flanking it or it is not flat-footed. So reading this is lasts until the end of the next turn, SO, is this saying that while your attacking normally your sizing up the prey for the Hunters Surprise? and only get one sneak attack damage attack or is this allowing two of them?
