this is browman's cleric.

Othan is one of the older children that is still in training. He is a cleric of Calistria the god of trickery. Still able to hide like the other children he can also heal those who get injured while on a mission and use his spells to provide specialized assistance to the others.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan lets others do the talking, but scans the crowd for any signs of trouble.

Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

In case of any you think this is a good idea

Checking for interest in a campaign idea

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Did Xov not realize that Othan and Falko have worked together in the past?

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"This is probably work better done by one of you. People tend not to like my questioning methods."

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Aid another 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Gotham is an awesome show.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"that sounds like an excellent plan, do we have a place to start looking? "

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"shall we go speak with him then?"

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"That strikes me as wise, Ebran, though I doubt there is much that can threaten us while travelling."

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Aren't we waiting for the GM to explain what happens as we head somewhere?

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"That sounds like an excellent idea"

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"we need to know what we are dealing with, blackmail does not seem like a good option in this case."

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"we mostly do work for the Citadel, work that pays quite well I should say. We also do odd jobs on the side. Those of us released together, which I guess would be myself, Xov and Ebran weren't given much of a choice in the beginning, but since we are all willing to work for coin it hasn't been much of a problem. Those who objected to the work have been released, but come to think of it we haven't heard from any of them after they left us. Not that we would have had a reason to."

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"Indeed in comparison to extortion perhaps." Othan turns towards the others, "do we know anything about this Pyramid?"

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"If making a copy of that pyramid was so easy, I doubt we would have been asked to do it."

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"Once we are back at the ship."

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"back to the ship I think. No matter our next step we need to plan. "

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan will join the group leaving the office, resuming his role as a "bodyguard"

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Falko and I are in different locations in the building right now.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan will accompany the others towards the office, then take up a postion outside the door to ensure they are not interrupted.

"I will be just outside the door if you need me."

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Since Othan's usual method for dealing with uncooperative people is to threaten to hurt the person, with failure resulting in extreme pain for the person. Because that seems counter productive to this situation, Othan will just stay acting as the glaring bodyguard.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan will intercept any lowlings who attempt to get in the way of Kirin.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

As they enter the bank, Othan makes it look as if he is a well dressed bodyguard to the other individuals in the party. He glares angrily at anyone who gets to close to the party.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

good to move on

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"That is a little complicated. Most of the time I am just the big, angry muscle discouraging people from doing anything foolish while the others talk."

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan is basically along for the adventure and money. Too much intrigue and concern about being spied on makes him annoyed, and he likes to kill things when annoyed. His methods of questioning are rather blunt (intimidation and pain essentially). He is also interested in growing his power over the mind blade.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"So where to from here?"

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Seeing one of his new associates get punched, Othan manifests his mind blade and begins to move towards the dock master.

about the only think they got right with 4e was the warlock and that was for flavor reasons... Not mechanical.

mechanically all classes in 4th ed felt very similar.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Wizards of the coast hasn't exactly won any loyalty from me. To me 4th ed was a train wreck and the way they handled the transfer from 3.5 to 4th was not good. I will look at 5th, but feel no obligation to leave pathfinder.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"Still doing house business Falko? "

Othan turns and sees Ebran in conversation with someone on the boat.

He loudly interrupts whatever house nonsense they are speaking of. "Ebran, please tell me that our new boat has some decent drinks on board, I have a feeling Falko and I will need a few while we converse."

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan is uninterested in the dossiers.

He continues scanning around looking for trouble. After a few minutes he saw a man heading towards them. He seems familiar...wait that looks like a man who fought beside the mercenary group I was with back in Karnath. What was his name Falkon, Falk, no "Falko what are you doing standing over there by yourself. I thought I heard that your lifeblood had painted the earth, clearly that story was false. Though I should have known better, none of Krantos' tales are true."

Waiting to see if Othan spots and recognizes me.

once you actually approach I will, my understanding is your are still some distance awayand my perception roll was not great.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan stays quiet, observing. The docks are usually a dangerous place.

Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

The group of mercenaries Othan used to roll with during the war would work for anyone as long as the pay was good and on time.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan is

Falko would be hanging around the dock, probably thinking of boarding a ship and be far away from Sharn.

A supersticious devotee, he might see an omen that would bring him arou d to work with the others? Perhaps he knows one of them from before? From the War? From Thronehold?

Perhaps Othan's mercenaries fought with his unit for a time?

Probably. Do you want to stick around and find out?

We don't need to.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Can the patriarch still manifest a mind blade?

EltonJ wrote:

Since it's so close to being released, I can't approve the Warpriest until I can get the book. But don't worry, you can multi-class into the Warpriest. :)

-- Anyhow --

Your concept is sound even without the warpriest, and I'll be happy to see what you come up with.

Why not build it as a cleric now, and then re-build it when warpriest is released?

switched to a cryptic after he caught lycanthropy! i wonder if our shifter is contagious...

Being a shifter is not a disease, despite what some may claim.

And soul knives are amazing at killing things, not so great at defense. But given that with notice I doing 3d6+2d8+14 on the charge, not much tends to be able to hit back effectively.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

HP roll

1d10 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

5th lvl Feat
Healing Factor (heal lvl when finished shifting)

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"then we must hope that he is either an impostor or merely temporarily controlled by that women's magics. I for one do not wish to place the real patriarch in chains."

I should have othan leveled tonight

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

"for now let's be on the safe side and bind the Patriarch's hands. Does this place have any kind of anti-psionic device?"

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

On his next turn Othan will dive out of the way.

this better be a good plan with psychic strike I hit like a truck. 2d8+2d6+11 once I am able to use my movement to recharge psychic strike each turn

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan charges (and power attacks) the woman

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 for 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (1, 2) + 14 = 17 dmg

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan is a weapon.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan's mind blade is drawn before most people even have time to panic. He begins heading in the direction of the energy beam.

In a deep angry voice Othan yells, "Out of my way" and shoves people who don't move fast enough away.

Intimidate 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan makes sure he is dressed in his finest for the banquet and probably eats more than he should. He avoids drinking excessively as that would likely end badly for someone.
