I know for me the only reason I didn't stay and fight is that I have a mission, and that mission is to make sure you all get to Nirvana in one peice. Once that is done, I swear, I WILL slay whoever attacked our city. Nex glares at the ground and rustles his wings, scratching up the wagon. That, and find my master. No matter the odds, he wouldn't have died back there. Nex mummers, Not him.

I thought it wouldn't be used again. I can be really smart or really stupid, that's one thing you should know about me. Also to the timezone question waaaay back I'm in PST. But since I carry my laptop around college all day and require very little sleep, I'm available for a large chunk of the day.

Nex limps along with Lulu, One day when I haven't had magic shot at me, I'll take you for a spin. Without my armor I was able to take the children for rides back home. I'm sure Pix would enjoy to fly with you. He grins at memories of playing with the children and "almost" dropping them. It helps people realize just how small you are in this world, and the joy of being free. Perhaps this perspective can help you understand Pix better?

Pix seems to be quite the companion! As the 'doggies' started to shoot me I realized I didn't have any way to let you know of the danger. Yet he brought you guys here! I owe him my life. Nex bows his head in thanks towards Pix. I suppose now is the time to properly thank you.

I was thinking on my earlier post about combat, and how to make it work. The idea I've come up with would be to start a post something like:
and when you respond to our actions you'd put: Round 1- Once we see we're all crossed out then we post again with: Round 2-Nex takes a swing...... I could be trying too hard to clean up combat but my OCD to have everything clean and neat for computers is showing up lol.

Nex seeing his allies arrive and swiftly drop the remaining creatures. He lets out a sigh and kneels on his sword. He mutters a prayer of thanks to Desna and attempts to stand. His knees give out and he ends up on his side. Scrunching his eyes in pain he remains the ground clutching his sword.

How about making a post for each round with our names listed. When we finish for that round you put a cross through our name. This lets us know what what round we're on and when we should post. I say this as a first time pbp player though, so take my suggestion for what it's worth.

As soon as he's hit, Nex folds his wings and dives downwards to land in the face of the wizard. F#~! IT ALL B$!~@ES YOU MESSED WITH THE WRONG BIRD!! He zooms downward to... Fly Check- 1d20 - 9 ⇒ (2) - 9 = -7 Crash into the ground in a spectacular display of stupidity. (BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)

Nex begins to fly in the opposite direction of the wagon. Once the campire is about 400ft away, he draws his sword and begins to land in a defensive posture. Nex lands with a whoosh. Unfolding his wings to their limit and pointing his sword at the new danger he yells, Friend or foe?!

Nex enjoys watching the small creature fly about. Nirvana? I don't know, but I'd imagine it is a long way off since I don't know where it is. Later in the day Nex notices the fire. Before we approach, I'm going to fly over the campsite and get an idea of what we're getting into. I'll be back soon enough. Hoping off the wagon Nex unfolds his wings, and climbs into the sky at a 45 degree angle toward the campfire. At about 120ft he stops climbing and approaches the campsite at a different angle than where the cart is. Looking down he sees..... (If you need a perception check- 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20)

Nex watches the scene behind them, scouring the landscape for enemies. This time taking care to look down for smaller creatures. Perception-1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 But his eyes end up resting on the billowing smoke, wondering where his master was, and if he was alright.

Why did the mages do this? The exact motive isn't clear, but I suppose like all evil folk it comes to the joy of destruction and power. Nex frowns. But as to how they managed to succeed in destroying our great city is beyond even me. I know, knew every guard that defended that city for the last twenty years, and none would have gone down easily. I know you must want revenge as do I, but now is not the time. What our next step is though is up to you, and I suggest we it soon before the enemy begins patrolling around here.

Oh, sorry about that, my eyes are still cloudy from sleep. My name is Nex, and I'm a warrior like yourself. Glad to see you got out of.. His voice broke, Well, there. Come, join our group of surviors. We don't have much but safety in numbers. Lets see what the others are up to. Sheathing his sword, Nex began to walk towards the wagon where there was the most commotion.

Just as he completed his circuit without noticing anything, he heard a voice ask "Hello, what are you up to?". Literally jumping into the air from being so startled, Nex whipped around beginning to unsheathe his sword out of reflex. What he saw when he turned to voice was the empty air. Lowering his sword Nex thought, Shit, barely the first day and already I'm at someone else's mercy. Well, if they wanted us dead they probably wouldn't have spoken. Hello to you as well. I'm trying to keep this convoy safe, so if you don't mind revealing yourself so I'm sure you're not a threat, I could put away my sword and talk civil like. Even as he spoke, Nex eyes darted back and forth.

Nex jolted awake after a particularly bad nightmare into a worse one. Still half alseep he jolted upright and whipped out his sword into a fighting stance. His muscles screamed in pain at the sudden movement, reminding him that fighting the waves of undead was yesterday's problem. Yes yes it was coming back now. He stayed behind with Master to buy time for the others. Eventually Master ordered him to protect this last convoy, and he would find Nex eventually. A cursory examination revealed some members of the convoy awakening. Best begin gaurd duty... Nex did a circuit of the camp, looking for danger. perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 |
